This video has loads of tips on squishies, including how to make or decorate your own! Unlike slime, the definition of a squishy is much broader since it basically includes everything that you can squeeze. The most popular types are slow-rising squishies made from polyurethane foam, followed by mochi squishies made from silicone. There are also mixed media squishies which you can make yourself by filling a balloon with Orbeez or slime. In this video I focused mostly on DIY squishy makeover tips for slow rising and silicone squishies.
I tried foamy Hitohada Gel for the first time, and it was quite an experience! The mixture foams up very quickly and this makes it slightly tricky to dispense into molds. It is however super satisfying to make your own slow-rising squishy for the first time! You can either paint the outside or add color the polyurethane itself using special inks (or both). I also remade my clear Hitohada Gel squishy using more hardener and this attempt turned out great.

3 tips from me
1: when your squishy breaks or something like that use fabric glue because it dries flexible and clear.
2:always use fabric paint because it also dries flexible.
3: if a squishy is to smooth paint won’t stick to it so take sandpaper and CAREFULLY sand it tho make it rough.
Edit: when you paint a squishy and it has a lot of air inside use a needle and poke the squishy to take the air out

Fortnite broke my computer so I don't play it. And it uses my space. And I cant delete it.
Just a tip, you shouldn't use pva glue because it will dry hard and can crack. I suggest fabric glue because it's much more flexible. And using a paint brush for full coverage squishy painting is a bad idea because it mostly just moves the paint around on the squishy. And paint can help with the rising. If you cover the squishy with puffy paint and poke a few holes with a pin in the paint. This helps release the air within the squishy slower.

I live in Denmark and They Said the in news that squishies could be “dangerous” because of the chemicals indside the squishies, but that was just some brands. 😊😊
Yep, I thought the study also made squishies a lot more dangerous than they really are. I personally think the real danger from squishies actually comes from the fact that they look edible so they could easily be a choking hazard for pets or babies, and very little to do with the chemicals inside
@@maqaroon no it was because it had chemicals in it which could give HIVES and had some cancerous dangers to it :(
@@maqaroon they did a test on 12 different products which had so high concentrations of the chemicals that it could damage the liver, nerve system and the foster in the belly of a pregnant woman, considering the fact that Denmark already have high standard regarding cosmetics and toys I find it kinda scary, and these toys which were tested were from local super markets and so on :/

The better glue for repairing or connecting squishies I think is actually fabric glue as it has a bit more movement then PVA glue. You just need to ruff up the paint where you are connecting them.Also, Fabric Paint is great when putting a couple layers on. You also should poke a few holes into the fabric paint after so that air isn't trapped inside. Thats what makes them able to squish.

artistpaw lps not trying to sound self promotey but my mom and i made slime using only dollar store stuff besides glue, if you want to watch my video of it you can, but my main point is you can make slime for cheap pretty easily c:
This is a hack I found out when decorating my squishy:
If you have a squishy that has a hole inside (so if it ripped and the foam inside came out over time) then stuff the inside with toy stuffing then hold it shut while you apply fabric glue. Then place a rubber band around it holding it shut. Afterwards you can then finish off the makeover.
I tried this and it worked 😊🤗👍

For tip #22 it is actually better to use fabric glue instead of pva glue. This is because pva glue dries hard. While fabric glue was designed for bending and stretching. It actually holds better than pva glue too! Just make sure to wrap the part you glued with a rubber band. (I learned this from moriah elizabeth) No hate to Joana whatsoever just trying to help!
Ok here are some hacks
1: use FABRIC GLUE
2: never use acrylic paint
3: use puffy paint, or fabric paint. You can also use a mix of both

For painting the squishys you are supposed to use a popsicle stick unless it is Matt
My cousin put a squishy in the ice box. She did this to make it hurt when she threw it at me. She left it in there, and it broke the ice machine. Good advice thanks. 10/10 would recommend this tip.

1. Some foam squishies are too smooth to paint over, so sand them down(with a dust mask on) until they no longer feel smooth. This way the paint will have some texture to hold onto instead of the paint peeling off when dry.
2. Many people who paint squishies use popsicle sticks to apply the paint, especially for more opaque coats. You can use a paintbrush for doing thin coats of paint when you want to have gradients.
3. I recommend using fabric glue to seal and big rips/cracks/tears in foam squishies. You can use rubber bands to hold it together while the glue dries. After it's dry, seal the cracks with fabric paint to help it stay that way before you start painting your squishy.
4. You can use old squishy pieces to make jelly cube slime.
5. You can buy fake sprinkles or make your own from polymer clay (only polymer will work for this, just like with polymer clay charms in slime) to embellish your squishies. Make sure to apply a fresh thick coat of paint and gently press the sprinkles into it so they stay put. It's an especially great touch for sweets/desserts/ice cream themed squishies.

Hi! Sponsorships are an important part of many UA-camr's livelihood because the Google algorithm changes so quickly. DIY channels suffered quite a bit in 2018 because YT rewards creators that upload very often (like 2-3 times a week) which works for vlogs, reactions, hauls or gaming, but it's almost impossible to create a good DIY tutorial at that pace. I don't want to start making half-assed videos just for the sake of increasing my views and ad revenue, so I accept more sponsorships which maintain the quality of the content!
The sad thing is, she doesn't even try now...
Nor she's got a sponsor that doesn't even represent her well, nor she tries to follow every viral trends... or both ! Like this video.
It's not even about living from youtube, it's just getting more clicks whatever.

To connect squishies I recommend to use Tulip fabric paint. It also works for painting them.

I love Joanna and her videos, and I appreciate the fact that she’s trying to make a nice video. I just wish these hacks were a bit more quality instead of quantity. Some of these like, cut a squishy to make more squishies, if you tear a squishy glue it, or keep a squishy in a bag to keep it clean just don’t seem very entertaining to watch, and make me want to click away. There are still a lot of great hacks in this video, but it just feels like she was just trying to hit a high number and didn’t pay too much attention to some of the hacks. I would much rather have had 20 great hacks than 40 hacks of highly varying quality.

Joanna, you are the Queen of DIY! Here’s my tip: Puffy Paint actually makes a good glue for holding things together on squishes. OK, that’s not brilliant, but I’ve only done 4 squishy makeovers total so far. Plus one paper squishy.

Hey, if you apply fabric paint to the squishy, use a popsicle stick. The brush just gets messed up and there's no good coverage if you use a brush. With a popsicle stick, the paint doesn't end up translucent.
