Thank you for sharing, this is such a clever technique, I had no idea you could use the edges of solids to create pipes! No more crazy 3D sketches for me!
This was the tutorial I was looking for, but unfortunately I couldn't follow it correctly, as at minute 0:31 the option (operation: new body) doesn't appear in the box on the right. Does the free version of the software limit this option?
Brilliant walkthrough... it's a little different now, as the others have suggested below, but I figured it out. It really is so fast to make these kinds of forms. Thanks so much. 🙏
Hello Etienne, That really is a great way of designing organic shapes basically from any base shape. However, since the version you used is older than the current one, we're getting the following message when clicking on "Finish Form": "T-Spline model failed to convert. If you continue the model will not display in the parametric workspace. You can return to the Sculpt workspace to fix the errors preventing conversion." In other words, unless we have no errors with the T-Splines, we are not allowed to convert the Form into a Body. Any ideas to go around this obstacle? Thanks in advance.
Good thing! But i have a Problem with the Construction. After finishing pipe is it not possible to convert the T-Spline in BRep. There comes a fail. Its not possible to convert it "Edges are crossing". Is there another solution? I want to print only the T-splines, like the print in your Video. Thanks for your help
@@etiennek Thank you for reply. Yes I did mesh to brep. I can not select edge by using select window (drag with left button). I can select edge one by one. So, I tried alternate way. I select one edge with left click and select "Invert Selection" in selection tools then I select first edge again. Finally I can select all of edges. ^^
Bravo !
I wouldn't have thought of piping a mesh(doing it in model space now), great idea. I am doing this challenge, ua-cam.com/video/GVGF4j3upCE/v-deo.html and planing on piping(model) the triangles. I would be interested in your workflow after the challenge is over of course. Thanks again for sharing.

This is AWESOME! Thank U zillion times + extra million! Short and clean video!
Merci pour cette vidéo qui comme d'habitude est topissime. C est impressionnant toutes les ressources de fusion 360 !!! 😍

Usually I try to build something based on the thumbnail... not even close. Well done!

Exactly my problem too, hope we hear from him

Merci Etienne pour ta nouvelle vidéo
my Fusion 360 version doesnt show a mesh tab
Same for me, did you find a way ?
@@4sstylz yes I did. You have to turn off design history first.
this is so cool!!! but I can't find "mesh to BRep" in 2021version(2.0.10253), I only find the "BRep to mesh "
Nice work man
I'm not able to find the mesh option in Fusion 360. Please help. I have the latest update.
Turn off design history
Encore une fois très belle vidéo 👍🏻
thank you just saved me so much time
Great work! Thank you!
Neat stuff! Thanks for the knowledge!
Cool! but I can't select only Edge after checking "Select Edge Priority" at 1:30...
make sure you did mesh to brep at 1.17, maybe is that ?

@@user-RaahNeko I've got the same issue
@@user-RaahNeko Thank you for the tips !!!
really great! thank you so much for sharing
The problem is, that this method can easly give errors when trying to convert a brep body
yes ,i agree too but i fixed it in Edit Form , just moved point, apply a small rotation to not have overlapping faces (interpenetrations).
Nice. Did you print it with supports for the top?
This is nearly voronoi (if that's how you spell it), awesome!

peut-être avez vous oublié de faire mesh to brep à 1'17" ?
Un mec a proposé une astuce : Sélectionne un seul edge, puis utilise l'outil sélection pour faire « inverser la sélection ».
Merci !
Nice
features are out of date as of fall 2023
Wow!!!
nice
2022: most of these options are gone

Very very very BAD.
Great work! Thank you!
