I was sleeping and wakening up with a walkman playing this cassette, 30 years before. This song was the most epic one from the keepers albums. Today it gives me exactly the same feeling. The Proper voice behind the mic is finally back.
I first saw Helloween at Donington in 1988 as a fifteen year old. I was blown away then. Didn't see them again until last year on this tour and they are truly magnificent. Myself and my two gig buddies agree that the show was beyond good. It was absolutely perfect. The set up is amazingly executed. No joke, best gig in decades for me and my friends and I were buzzing for days. They truly fill your heart with joy. Please let me see them once more.
@@Xordras nope i think he's not having trouble with the high notes but you can´t compare the voice of a 20 years old and a 50 years old singer. voice is like a fine whiskey it´s getting better white age
There's something very heartwarming about Michael Kiske not just being back with Helloween, but having a great time and enjoying himself. This was one of the best, if not the best, live albums I've ever heard in my life.
I´m shivering here! His voice is amazing! My god... how amazing must be for a fan to be there to see this epic moment! I´m in AWE! This song is so challenging to sing. And still... he nails it! All hail Michael Kiske!!!!
In my opinion no other lead singer has as much passion in singing as Michael Kiske. He is and has been my all time favorite lead singer for over thirty years. It is so amazing how phenomenal he still sings today. As happy as I am to see Kai Hansen back in Helloween, I am more happy to see Michael Kiske back in Helloween. I never thought that it would ever happen, and I am glad that I was wrong. I can't wait until June 18 for the new album. I love the new single Skyfall big time.
A Helloween fan since 85, I must say the song is Helloween genius, and it's now a more than perfect lineup, the 2 lads singing together and a 3rd Mr Hansen!! How cool is that, Brilliant stuff.
That was absolutely F-ING AMAZING. I was actually in tears by the end of this song. I’ve always loved this track but never thought I’d hear it live ....and I couldn’t have asked for more, I only wish I could have seen them live at some point. To pull this off, with all the skill, precision and production quality as the recording, is simply unbelievable. I would’ve given my left nut to be there live for that show. Helloween should truly go down as one of the best heavy metal bands in history.
The 1st key goes to the Sea of Hate The 2nd key goes to the Sea of Fear The 3rd key goes the Sea of Senselessness The 4th key goes to the Sea of Greed The 5th into the Sea of Ignorance The 6th key they mention disease so it's the Sea of Disease The 7th key I believe to be the Sea of Sorrow. They made an orchestrated version called The Keeper Trilogy and with it they attached their song "King For A 1000 Years" as part of the trilogy in which the beginning mentions how the 7th sea shelters the 7th key and tells the story of the guy this song has guarding the 7th sea. Also, further into the song they have the lyrics: "Goodbye sorrows. Borrow me your hand to turn the key". And even in the Keeper of the Seven Keys they say: "Don't throw the key or you will see dimensions cruel as they can be." Which a sea of sorrow could be seen as sea of cruelty. Or you could shortcut it and claim the 7th sea is the Sea of Cruelty. I like my idea of it being the Sea of Sorrow better but I can see the argument.
Wow!! Listening to this song takes me back in time, more than 30 years ago, to some summers, to a time with my friends when we were around 15 years old, to a beautiful and unrepeatable time...wow...it's incredible how long ..and how much I miss those days...Thank you Helloween for such good times!!!!

@@jakewherley3301 you are right. I always considered maiden as Power metal, because of their uplifting songs and because my heavy metal reference is Sabbath. But yeah, Helloween is the best Power metal band!
@@CeloGilbert It would be fair to say that Maiden's modern work (what they play in 21st century) may somewhat be inspired by iconic power metal acts, such as Helloween and Queensryche. Just listen to Bruce's voice and look how long some tracks are - quite power metal-ish in my opinion

It didn’t interrupt you in loving great music. Why should it? Bruce Dickinson is a commercial pilot and singer in a heavy metal band. So what?
I listen to them wen i was in High school n now im 45 yrs n Kiske ,hansen, kai n others still sound the same to me..Wow!!Halloween is my favourite band.Greetings frm India 🇮🇳..Keeper of the 7 Keys.
I was sleeping and wakening up with a walkman playing this cassette, 30 years before. This song was the most epic one from the keepers albums. Today it gives me exactly the same feeling. The Proper voice behind the mic is finally back.
AMAZING LIVE!!! After all these years! Kiske's voice, holy shit!!
1990, man I played this in my car almost every day. Brilliant 👏
Momento antológico na história do Rock mundial.....

Diamon Ferreira os caras são mitos.
Diammon tá certo, a propósito , linda foto
I first saw Helloween at Donington in 1988 as a fifteen year old. I was blown away then.
Didn't see them again until last year on this tour and they are truly magnificent. Myself and my two gig buddies agree that the show was beyond good. It was absolutely perfect.
The set up is amazingly executed. No joke, best gig in decades for me and my friends and I were buzzing for days.
They truly fill your heart with joy.
Please let me see them once more.
How was that possible? His voice was almost the same as in 30 years ago.
That happens when you do the work and you are not a fluke
God on earth.

Only missing one to be perfect... INGO!
I had a pleasure to see these guys acting in Portugal in 1988. Amazing times! 💪👍
Ufffa QUE EJECUCION TAN PERFECTA. VIEJOS RECUERDOS INOLVIDABLES. QUE DIOS SIEMPRE BENDIGA HELLOWEEN AL METAL LA BUENA MUSICA Y A TI QUE LEES ESTO!!!
Thank you!!! Forever Hellowen!!!

Never imagined that legendary Kiske would come back to the band. This is like bring me back to my school days.
The 1st key goes to the Sea of Hate
The 2nd key goes to the Sea of Fear
The 3rd key goes the Sea of Senselessness
The 4th key goes to the Sea of Greed
The 5th into the Sea of Ignorance
The 6th key they mention disease so it's the Sea of Disease
The 7th key I believe to be the Sea of Sorrow.
"watch out for the seas of hatred and sin"
There's your seventh key.
With his high iron voice causing "sickness"
Wow!! Listening to this song takes me back in time, more than 30 years ago, to some summers, to a time with my friends when we were around 15 years old, to a beautiful and unrepeatable time...wow...it's incredible how long ..and how much I miss those days...Thank you Helloween for such good times!!!!
A mixagem desse "United Alive" está impecável!!!! Tudo no lugar...

I saw this show in New York. When Kiske and Deris harmonized on "Man who do you just think you are?" I legitimately shes tears in the middle of the pit. I'm in my bed right now and this video gives me the same feeling.
The moment I feel the same, is in the last YOU'RE THE KEEPERS OF THE SEVEN KEYs at 12:52 I cried the first time I see them live and I have goosebumps with this video.
Absolutely Fantastic, old enough to have seen them back in the 80's, back in the heyday, they sound so good here, Michael's voice is spot on.
Almost in tears watching that. Amazing. Kiskes voice is still incredible. Bravo guys, bravo. 👏
Esto es una maravilla. Larga vida a Helloween y a Michael Kiske!!!
This song is to Halloween what Bohemian's Rapsody is to Queen. And with this full band, it crowns the pumpkins as the true kings of power metal. As much as I love Maiden, this song is the best!
Maiden isn't power metal, if that's what you were implying
@@jakewherley3301 you are right. I always considered maiden as Power metal, because of their uplifting songs and because my heavy metal reference is Sabbath. But yeah, Helloween is the best Power metal band!
@@CeloGilbert It would be fair to say that Maiden's modern work (what they play in 21st century) may somewhat be inspired by iconic power metal acts, such as Helloween and Queensryche. Just listen to Bruce's voice and look how long some tracks are - quite power metal-ish in my opinion
@@metalsergs I must say that I look more iron Maiden in the 21st century from brave new world and after they have so much reinvented themselves.
Helloween is a different story, no big changes, a great power metal band.
Iron maiden is the most overrated band, their music is the same. Also if you them live these days are like a kitch circus.
Little Mermaid lost her voice to get the legs, while Kiske lost hair to keep his voice. Great performance through and through.
Omg lol
The old man has a voice like the little young
Totally agree with you =D
He had the same voice 35 years ago, when he wasn't bald))
Yeah ..that tells he is not a human....he is flown from Mars.
Seven years later and the dynamic of this band in its current form is still incredible.
So polished, so powerful and extremely well executed. Bravo.
Kiske is unreal with his voice and pitch untouched by the ages.
kiske lost his hair but not his voice. The rest of the band very well too
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I mean did he really lose it or was he just pulling a Geoff Tate?
You're right bro! Best regards from mexico to all of you!
You Devil!😈
Seriously he looks better that way
This rendition of Keeper is simply amazing. Probably the best metal song ever.
Oh my gosh! What a time warp. Saw the " Keeper"- Tour in 1987 with the 19 year old frontman Michael Kiske ( with very long blond hair!lol)! How could he sound the same nearly 35 years later??? Amazing performance of an outstanding powermetal-band and one of it's best songs ever. " The Keeper"hym; Masterpiece
Amazing performance. Sounds wonderful and Kiske's singing is mindblowing. Praise God
35 years later, and I still love that song equally much
Never thought I'd see the day Kiske singing Keeper again. I grew up with this band since I was 15. SO HAPPY I found this video. It's the closest I'll ever get to watching their live concert. Thank you so much for sharing with us. #pumpkinforever

I'm sorry, but how can he sing in the same key as he did a million years ago. It just doesn't happen. It's amazing.
He’s not, it’s tuned down a half step. But still, it’s crazy and amazing how he can even reach these notes
@@ericklara4091well, just a half step
one of the best voices in history!
This sounds incredible. Fantastic musicians and Michael's voice is even better now. ❤
I first came across Helloween in 1988, and in what ever guise or band name since I have faithfully followed. This re union was amazing, just wish I could get to see them live. Even after 35 years there is nothing else to touch them and still give me goosebumps. Thank you for the music and the pleasure it has given me over the years.
That is a group of fellows enjoying their craft. Love it!
This is quite possibly the most EPIC live performance on ALL of UA-cam!!!! Thanks for posting this, and above all, for creating this most AWESOME song!!!
I love it most when Andi Deris joins in. The best vocal Helloween ever had, and he also kept Helloween alive for 30 years...
I shed tears of joy when they decided to perform in Malaysia, a far flung country in the far east of the world..it was a one in a million lifetime experience...forever I am their biggest fan and indebted to them..Happy Happy Helloween

Kiske's voice is still outstanding.
Make the people hold each other's hands
And fill their hearts with truth
You made up your mind, so do as divined
Put on your armour, ragged after fights
Hold up your sword, you're leaving the light
Make yourself ready for the lords of the dark
They'll watch your way, so be cautious, quiet and hark
As you hear them whispering in the crowns of the trees
You're whirling 'round but your eyes don't agree
Will-o'-the-wisps misguiding your path
You can't throw a curse without taking their wrath
Watch out for the seas of hatred and sin
Or all us people forget what we've been
Our only hope's your victory
Kill that Satan who won't let us be
Our only hope's your victory
Kill that Satan who won't let us be, kill
You're the Keeper of the Seven Keys
That lock up the Seven Seas
And the Seer of Visions said before he went blind
"Hide them from demons and rescue mankind
Or the world we're all in will soon be sold
To the throne of the evil, paid with Lucifer's gold
To the throne of the evil, paid with Lucifer's gold"
If you can feel cold sweat running down your neck
And the dwarves of falseness throw mud at your back
Guided by spells from the old Seer's hands
You're suffering pain, only steel can stand
Stay well on your way and follow the sign
Fulfill your own promise and do what's divined
The Seven Seas are far away
Placed in the Valley of Dust, Heat, and Sway
The Seven Seas are far away
Placed in the Valley of Dust, Heat, and Sway
You're the Keeper of the Seven Keys
That lock up the Seven Seas
And the Seer of Visions said before he went blind
"Hide them from demons and rescue mankind
Or the world we're all in will soon be sold
To the throne of the evil, paid with Lucifer's gold
To the throne of the evil, paid with Lucifer's gold"
Throw the first key into the Sea of Hate
Throw the second key into the Sea of Fear
Throw the third key into the Sea of senselessness
And make the people hold each other's hands
The fourth key belongs into the Sea of Greed
And the fifth into the Sea of Ignorance
Disease, disease, disease, my friend
For this whole world's in devil's hand
Disease, disease, disease, my friend
Throw the key or you may die
Disease, disease, disease, my friend
For this whole world's in devil's hand
Disease, disease, disease, my friend
Throw the key or you may die
On a mound at the shore of the last sea
He's sitting, fixing your sign
With his high iron voice causing sickness
He is playing you out with delight
"Man, who do you just think you are?
A silly bum with seven stars
Don't throw the key or you will see dimensions
Cruel as they can be"
Don't let him suck off your power
Throw the key, throw the key, throw the key
An earthquake, squirting fire, bursting ground
Satan's screaming and earth swallowing him away
You're the Keeper of the Seven Keys
You locked up the Seven Seas
And the Seer of Visions can now rest in peace
There ain't no more demons and no more disease
And, mankind, live up, you're free again
Yes, the tyrant is dead, he is gone, overthrown
You have given our souls back to light
Oh-ohh
Ohh

This is a great song, I don’t think I ever heard a better live version than this one, not even in the 80s when kiske was at his best. Tremendous respect for these guys for making this happening after so many years.
Especially Deris. What balls that guy must have to welcome Kiske back and share the stage with him. No other singer would have the confidence to do that. And look how brilliantly it worked out. They complement each other so well, it's just insane.
