Came up in my recommended and I'm glad it did! The bassline to this sonata reminds me quite a bit of "Air on the G," which was written around the same time in the 1720s. Your performance was at an ideal tempo and had the right gravitas with which one should perform Bach. Bravo 👏!
Thank you for your kind words! I agree, when I was working on this piece I honestly thought of it almost as a funeral March of sorts. There is some kind of tragedy in this piece, even though it is in a major key.
@@alexnazaretski1937 Good call, I think you're onto something there 🧐. My BWV guide book says the piece was written around 1720, so I cross referenced the death dates of important Bach family members and found that his first wife, Maria Bach, passed in 1720 and his son Leopold had also passed a few months before her. In all likelihood these tragedies were expressed in future compositions, including this piece.
Great playing, Alex! Thanks for sharing your hard work with all of us.
Meditative! Beautiful!
I clicked so fast. So stoked to see new stuff from you!
Glad to hear that! Appreciate it a lot!
Fantastic, great transcription.
fantastic and I feel so relaxed, thank you 🌲

Fantastic Alex! What a great musician you are!
Beautiful, Alex. Well done.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. I've got one more Bach movement (the allegro) to record now, to complete the sonata!
It will be so nice to hear the piece in its entirety! Looking forward to it. ❤️
