"Lattice" - Alex Nazaretski
My latest composition, which will be featured in an upcoming album of mine that's currently in the works! It was an absolute blast putting this one together, and would consider this one of the strongest things I've written thus far.
Would also love to give out a few words of thanks for making this possible: Huge shoutout Jack Kelly for playing some absolutely incredible drums on this, and to Logan Barrett for doing an impeccable job with the production aspect!

8 string Bach - Prelude BWV 997, Alex Nazaretski
Переглядів 1 тис.7 місяців тому
It's been some time since my last video, mainly due to a crazy past couple of months that were related to my graduate school auditions. I actually recorded this Bach prelude back at the end of January, but only got around to putting the video together fairly recently. I've long meant to record this one as it's one of my favorites! Also, I should mention that going forward with this channel, I w...
Alex Nazaretski - "The Continuity"

A bit different than the usual thing on here, but here's my first fully produced single (all work done by myself). I long had the idea of writing something for the Kiesel and piano, but wasn't quite sure how to approach it until this composition. It was a massive amount of work for just two minutes worth of music, but I certainly hope you'll enjoy this track! Streaming on all platforms! Guitar:...

Sergei Rachmaninoff - Etude Tableaux Op. 39 no. 1 (1k subscriber special)
Переглядів 618Рік тому
To thank everyone for 1k subscribers, I wanted to share a performance (unedited and entirely in the moment!) of one my favorite pieces by one of my favorite composers: Rachmaninoff's Etude Tableaux op. 39 no. 1. Without a doubt one of the more sinister pieces he wrote for solo piano, this piece is a constant shifting between different moods and characters, from explosive and violent to eerie an...

J.S. Bach on 8 string guitar - Sarabande BWV 997
Переглядів 1,5 тис.Рік тому
The Sarabande from Bach's 997 lute partita. A rather heavy and darker movement, especially considering since some of the thematic material is taken from Bach's St. Matthew Passion. The 8 string just perfectly suits the kind of color that this piece demands in my opinion. Perpetual Motion No. 3 - Alex Nazaretski
Переглядів 798Рік тому
The final piece in my (first) set of three perpetual motions, and probably by far my favorite one. I would say it has a lot more interesting voicings and motifs across the entire piece when compared to everything else that I've written thus far, and is overall much more complete and well rounded in my opinion. Please enjoy! Follow me on: Facebook: AlexNaz19 Instagram: instagram.com...
Perpetual Motion No. 2 - Alex Nazaretski

After a long hiatus, I'm pleased to announce that I've completed my set of 3 perpetual motions. This one is probably the most "perpetual" of the three with an almost constant flow of notes. I wrote this particular one way back in March but only got around to recording it recently. The third one will be coming soon, along with a very special 1k subscribers video! Another one of my original compositions! This one so far is my favorite to date as I find it quite a bit more mature than some of the previous pieces I've written, and in my opinion has more interesting harmonic modulations. Enjoy! Follow me on: Facebook - AlexNaz19/ Instagram - alexnazaretski
Grieg Piano Concerto - 3rd Mvt, Allegro Marcato "Solo Version"

The third movement from Grieg's Piano Concerto. Probably my favorite movement from the concerto, It features an absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful middle section, surrounded by intense and virtuosic passages as well as a Norwegian dance (halling) theme. J.S. Bach - Double, BWV 997 (8 string edition)
Переглядів 3 тис.2 роки тому
The 997 lute partita of Bach is what I would consider one of his more experimental works. Written later in his life, he makes use of some very interesting harmonic choices that are not often seen in even his music. This Double, although short, is a particularly tricky piece to figure out. In my opinion it should have an elegant aesthetic yet maintaining a certain heaviness. It was indeed a very...
Grieg Piano Concerto - 2nd Mvt, Adagio "Solo Version"
Переглядів 2,6 тис.2 роки тому
Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto is one of my personal favorite works of the entire romantic repertoire. In fact I became so deeply in love with it that I couldn't resist making a transcription of a solo version of the whole concerto, since playing with an orchestra is hard to come by. In this arrangement I used Grieg's original score (one that he made himself for two pianos), and blended it by pl...

Thank you for sharing, love it !
so sick!
We need more stuff like this, brilliant!
As a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I am often obliterated for my love of various metal genres. Them: "It's all of the devil!" Sigh... I play this and they are like, "That is incredible! What musicianship! Who is that?!" Me: "Do you really want to know?" Well done sir, incredibly well done...
@StevenHousewright thank you haha! Appreciate that :)

Final boss music
Absolutely genius. This piece has vapors of early Genesis and Anthony Phillips as well as Pat Metheny and goes places unexpected but wonderfully. This music and originality are in a league at or above those artists. What a joy to discover you, Alex!
What a humbling comment to recieve. Deeply honored to even be considered alongside legends like Pat Metheny. Really glad to hear that you enjoyed this piece so much, it truly means a lot to me ❤
Day 56 of (im)patiently waiting for Alex's Tech Death project.
@wonderlust3054 ahaha thank you! It's coming, don't worry. We're just wrapping up some final recording stuff and will get the production soon. Hopefully it'll be out end of this year, and if not then early next year :)
@alexnazaretski1937 Take your time, buddy. Just offering some encouragement. Good luck!
@wonderlust3054 thanks again man, really appreciate it! Hope you'll enjoy the EP as much as we did putting it together :)
@@alexnazaretski1937 I would be shocked if I didn't love it. I'm especially excited because of how much confidence I have in your songwriting. I'm already a fan of the project and I haven't heard a single measure.
@wonderlust3054 thank you, I feel deeply honored! We're almost there with it
Hello Alex, I am thinking of buying one of these guitars, you should do the score and upload it to google drive, so that we can play it. I like the piece very much, bravo! I subscribe, greetings Ramón.
@@ramonleonegea thank you for the kind words! I'll soon put up a score of this on my bandcamp page. I'll attach a link in the comments :)
@@alexnazaretski1937 Thank you, I will be looking for it. I would be good if you composed exercises or a method to get used to this instrument.
Alex, are you left-handed?
Actually no :)
@@alexnazaretski1937 Ok, sorry. You played the left hand part very expressively
@@МаркБирман thanks so much! Really appreciate the compliment :)
So damn cool hearing this on the piano
Very well developed composition, I can see the Tigran and Allan Holdsworth influence 😁, a little more harmonically oriented though, not so much rhytmical always impressed by your multi instrumentalist quality too! Keep it up 😎
@PedroDias-hj2jy thanks man! This comment is a huge honor to recieve haha!
Stay Tech everybody 🎉 what a beautifully covered masterpiece❤❤
Downright rad
Wow🤘🏻
I love the new tune. Keep up the great work. You are really finding your own voice compositionally.
@tonysheilds4681 thanks a ton! Glad to hear you enjoyed!
I've beem following a while. I don't understand why you don't just write a piece that isn't prog? It is way more impressive to compose something interesting in a single key or two (neoclassical baroque) than all this Phillip Glass and Prog/Djent fusion nonsense.
@theartisan1898 I just feel like it man 😆
Maybe you can just write stuff like that then. Are you paying him to compose this for you? No. This is public, free music. If you don't enjoy it go to someone else's channel. He can write whatever he wants, butthole.
Hey! Sometimes people make things for themselves and the sun doesn’t revolve around you. Hope this helps ☺️
Yea yea yea I'm the butthole. Alex, when you start experimenting with Pedal Point and the Harmonic Minor in one key, you'll hear the true power of composition. There's a reason every major composer credited Bach for their beginnings. Yeah, the world doesn't revolve around me. But if you are going to have God-given talent, why not make something actually masterful not just "good"?
Because this is infinitely better

Gorgeous. Gonna have to listen to it a couple of times.
piano is a smidge on the loud side. im no audio expert. but right clicking your video and selecting stats for nerds reveals your loudness levels are not on par with most music videos. I like the music otherwise. interesting polyrhythms and palm muting. Piano seems strongest talent wise.
