    If Batman had a scooter, it would look like this, complete with Batbox at the rear for extra Batbelts and Bat-a-rangs.

    I have a 2011 Burgman and believe it's the ultimate scoot. I have a tall windshield, a white matching top box and a mounted a flat plate between the bars on the cushion for my gps. I's a great spot for it. the best safety device is the headlight modulator on the high beams. this is my third bike with one and will not ride without them. I believe it should be a motorcycle law to have one as they will save lives from pull outs and left turns. You cannot miss seeing me coming and when I ride in a group, I always ride in front for everybody's protection. Plug and play once you get the front off. I like you wheel tape idea.
    Thanks for sharing,
    Lee

    I'm doing much the same as you, researching a scooter for use here in Spain. Thanks to you I have decided on the Burgman 400 euro 5. I'm aged 66 and my wife who hails from Seattle is about the same size as yours it appears. So, using your arguments for the Suzuki and having compared the xmax etc, this would seem to be the most comfortable and stable scooter. Listening to your comments regarding accessories is taking the leg work out of it for me.Keep up the good work! It's nice to benefit from opinions from such a logical viewpoint

    Thanks for the accessories review. I just bought a 2022 Kymco AK 550. I'm tall at 6' 6" 230 pounds. The AK 550 fit me perfectly, but that seat gets hot in 70 degree F weather. I instantaneously bought the airflow seat cover based off your rating of 11 for comparability. I tried to order the rim reflectors but Amazon product information for 15 inch rims shows them as 17 inch rims in the description.The SH58 I will get later. Thanks again.

    It's flat black. 7 years ago I bought a brand new flat black SYM HD200. It was a great scooter (except for the flat black) at a great price. I thought I could live with it. I was wrong. 6 months after buying it, I sold it for half what I paid for it, because I simply could not deal with color (or rather, lack of color) it was just a flat black blob. It was just ugly. I replaced it with a slightly used Vespa GT200, light mint green with lots of chrome and silver paint. No flat black. I plan to wear it out, if I don't die first. I really like that non flat black Vespa GTS you have there.

      They do make this one in a odd gray black. This one is a metallic blue. its pretty. but you probably can't tell well in the videos. And it is a more satin finish. So washing is good. The full flat paints are difficult to take care. I like color on my bikes. I try to avoid grays and blacks for visibility sake.

    I've been soo tempted by the Burgman 400. If one was closer to me I'd probably buy it.
    I do have to ask though, in the scooter collage at the beginning of your vids, what is the silver Maxi scooter in the bottom picture next to the bison?

    I am thinking about a Burgman. We currently ride a Harley Davidson Tri-Glide and they ride like a DUMP TRUCK. I've installed new progressive shocks on the rear ans run 20 psi in the rear tires. which help a little.
    We went to a trike because my wife has battled cancer eight times, had12 surgeries and maxed out on chemo, radiation and cyber knife treatments She is currently on immunotherpay treatments and will be every 28 days for the rest of her life.
    When one of the spots of cancer in her brain caused her to have seizures we went to the trike. Our thoughts were if she had a seizure on a two wheeled motorcycle it might cause an accident injuring both of us and possibly others. We wouldn't awant that. So we went to a trike. We feel on a trike I should be able to pull over and tend to her needs.
    The radiarion my wife had back in 2011 ruined the blood flow to her hips and she had to have a total hip replacement which didn't go well. So now she is crippled and walks with a walker. Two months later she had brain surgery to remove the spot of cancer that was causing her seizures. She hasn't had a seizure since and now I am wanting to get back to two wheels.
    The harsh ride of the Harley has really turned us off and that's why I'm looking at scooters. If I purchase one I will buy a Shad top truck with the backrest pad for my wife. The HD Tri-Glide has a top trunk and it has spoiled me. I think from now on, I will always have a top truck on any motorcycle I own. I admit it, I"M SPOILED. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.

    Thanks for your video. Living in a city, I have for three years had a Vespa GTS 300 but am now considering "upgrading" to a Burgman. Given that I saw a Vespa in your video, what would you say are the biggest differences?

    • @gr8shotz00
      @gr8shotz00  2 роки тому

      Comfort, seat height, more cargo capacity, able to do further trips outside the city. Vespa is more nimble for crowded city streets, but not that much. I ended up selling my Vespa a month ago.

      I have now used the bar a few times. Its ok. I worry about the weight of the beverages pulling down on it and messing up my hydraulic cylinder threads. It also vibrates quite a bit.

    Q: Now that you've had that Givi windscreen a while, any thoughts or idea about it? I was looking at the Air Flow version until I saw this video.
    I have the same concerns you do about the cross bar being mounted to the reserves. I thought you might be able to see more if you mount the cross bar on the bottom of the brackets instead of the top?
    You do some nice videos. Thanks.

    • @gr8shotz00

      Love the windscreen. The air flow version I am sure is nice too. But I know how I ride. When I had my BMW 1200LT it had a powered window. I never moved it from its highest setting. So I knew I would never change the airflow model. My thoughts are still out on the cross bar. Thank you for liking my videos. I enjoy making them and hopefully the info is helpful.

    Hello to you! Thanks for turning on the comments. :) Just a quick question about the seat cover you are using - does it help keep you from sliding forward at all? I guess I'm curious if it is somewhat 'grippy' or does it slide around on the seat while you're sitting or riding? Thanks!

    • @gr8shotz00
      @gr8shotz00  2 роки тому +2

      Thats a good question. So for me on this model of Burgman with the new seat design I have never had the sliding forward thing. I did on my 650, and also have it on my Vespa. The seat cover has never moved since I put it on. Its pretty much molded to the seat contours. Even 2 up riding it has stayed put. It does feel more grippy on my butt than the plain vinyl seat. Its looks like its rough and coarse. But its soft to the touch. Its really really worth it.
