I always thought that all he needed was a gimmick that you could take more serious. Because even though he lacks the mic skills, he had everything else, plus there was a period in 2009-2011 where I felt like John Morrison coulda won the world heavyweight title and eventually the WWE title in 2011.
That gimmick was when his character was based on Jim Morrison during his ECW Championship run. That was the only instance in which he was the number one guy in whatever brand he was performing.
The WWE never building up to a ladder match for a title between Morrison and Benjamin is probably the worst missed opportunity in the history of the company. That match would’ve topped the ladder match between Ramon and Michaels. I met Morrison(Nitro at the time) in 2006 at Gold’s Gym in Macon, GA. I interrupted his workout speaking to him and he wasn’t even upset. He was pretty cool.
I think John Morrison deserved at least ONE run as WWE Champion & I think the perfect time to put the title on him would've been 2011. I could've seen him win a #1 Contender's EC Match & go on to face The Miz for the WWE Title at WM 27 & defeat him to win the title to a HUGE pop. Then, they could do a rematch at Extreme Rules with Morrison retaining. After that, Miz & Morrison move on & John feuds with a recently turned heel R-Truth for Over The Limit where John Morrison once again retains. Then, Morrison gets into a feud with John Cena for Capitol Punishment where Cena beats Morrison (I know. Shocker, am I right?!) to win the WWE Championship. After that, they can do a rematch the next night where Cena retains & then Cena goes on to fight CM Punk at MITB & pretty much everything from there goes as reality. Except CM Punk doesn't return 2 weeks later.
In hindsight looking back, the only reason they put John in a tag team was to get the Miz over. Miz was good on mic, but lacked in ring abilty and so Morrison was the fall guy. Even when they split, they both became mid card champs but only so Miz could beat him at bragging rights. When Miz became WWE Champion, Morrison became number 1 contender just to put over the Miz again.
I regret John morrison not teaming up with Seth Rollins to become *Two man power Drip* then when it's getting stale they go to pick up a new friend in nxt. Ikemen Jiro to become *Drip-ple Threat*
The gul of adi starting a podcast. Adi is the absolute worst at communicating. No wonder its only 20min, probably cus this disjointed maniac can only focus for that long.
This man literally was the first wrestler I ever saw and since then has inspired me to become a wrestler. He even got me into parkour too!

Jeff hardy John Morison and rvd are my favourite wrestlers ever I hate that they never gave him a second push when he returned same with Jeff
He definitely deserved the world title 2 runs I would say
