Smush Parker revisits a turbulent time in his basketball career, echoing his previous thoughts on Kobe Bryant and clarifying his subsequent responses. Parker made headlines in 2007 when he stated playing for the Lakers with Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant was "overrated." The lack of guidance and personal interaction with Bryant led Parker to this conclusion along with his perception that Lakers over-idolized Bryant. This statement incited Bryant to publicly label Parker as his "worst teammate ever." Parker contends his comments were based on factual experiences and not emotions or opinions. Despite the clashes and controversies, Parker admits that they continued to professionally coexist, focusing on victory for the Lakers. Parker continues to express his respect for Bryant's unrivaled commitment to winning but maintains his disapproval of how Bryant treated people. - Розваги
Kinda respect Smush for doing this - not switching up because he is dead.
EXACTLY!!!!!!
Ain’t nothing to respect about a man being a soft bish..making money off someone who’s dead. Especially when you’re complaining about Kobe being a bad teammate. Y’all some true weirdos…social media has given disrespectful cowards a voice they don’t deserve.
he'd be a bigger scrub if he switched up
How is that suppose to be respected tho lol
And he does it without being disrespectful.
Kobe played with some bad teammates, but he seems to have a disproportionate amount of hate for Smush. My only explanation for this as a fan that watched him and the Lakers during those years is that those were the years Kobe was most frustrated in his career. He was at his absolute prime and was desperate to win rings without Shaq, but he felt like the Lakers were not giving him the teammates he needed to win. He even asked to be traded during those times. I think he saw and continued to see Smush as like the main example of how the Lakers as an org weren't serious about winning during that time. He felt like they should be trying to give him a PG like Steve Nash or something, but instead they give him Smush Parker. So his hate is not really personal as much as he sees Smush as like a symbol and reminder of a frustrating time in his playing career. It's quite unfair.
Nah, I watched those games. Smush was trash. He had no heart and would choke when the pressure was on.
Naw Kobe strived to be like Jordan in every way. He even began to emulate a lot of Jordan's mannerisms, a Kobe as a person like Jordan was a world class grade "A" asshole, and in the end he got exactly what he deserved. In his death the disrespect him and his family received from the LA County Sheriff's Department, was Karma and much well deserved!!! What exactly was Steve Nash going to add to the Lakers equation??? I'll tell you, exactly what he did when he finally arrived in LA. Smush Parker is definitely not the worst teammate that Kobe Bryant has ever played with. The Lakers got more out of Smush Parker than they did out of Steve Nash!! Kobe Bryant the basketball player is phenomenal. Kobe Bryant the person is a horrible monster!! The world is definitely a better place without Kobe Bryant the person!!!☹️👎🏿
@@callmelegendaryTVSMUSH got SMOOSHED any time we needed him! Dude came in with potential for a few weeks then turned into a straight BUM
You might be right. It’s a fair analysis for sure.
Smush was a better player than a damn Derrick Fisher. But Derrick Fisher had a better career and was closer to kobe b/c they were rookies together.
Smush wasn’t good but he was definitely not Kobe’s worst teammate ever. That was Robert sacre 😂
Good in what standard? He averaged 11 points in the nba for multiple seasons on a team where one player takes 30-35 shots a game.
What about Luke Walton? Dude did nothing in the NBA lol

I'd say Dwight Howard.
People forget after Kobe snitched on Shaq most stars in the NBA didn't want to come to LA and play with Kobe.

Vlad lowkey can’t take denial either 😂
Something tells me Smush is one of the few ppl who didnt shed tears on that tragic day
Few? Lol. Kobe was an ahole to many. I bet alot of them didn't shed a tear either. (Jeremy Lin, Chris Childs, Shaq for years).
Kobe was a fake tough guy. He knew teammates couldn't touch him or they be off the team.

I’m glad Kobe blocked Vlad
Kobe just ain't like dude he said if I'm Training and putting in the work and you not then we got nothing to talk about ,if we're losing and you not trying to get better then it's time for you to go
Everybody doesn't have to be like you to win. Jordan knew that. Jordan knew Rodman needed to blow off steam in Vegas to be ready to play. Jordan let Rodman do his thing. Kobe thought everybody had to be like him, in the gym 24/7. Kobe needed to get a life. It's more to life than basketball.
@@ignaciofuentes2642 Smush ain't Rodman....he averaged 11pts a game for the Lakers & played for 6 different Teams
This weak ass generation doesn’t understand that
Other than playing with kobe what else we know him for ,it be like Judd buechler talking bout jordan , you don't have to be like kobe but if your game ain't good and you o k with being mediocre then we have a problem
@@ignaciofuentes2642you expect your team to put in the work. If I'm the greatest player in the league and I'm busting my ass in the gym?? OF COURSE I expect my teammates to be right there with me. Jordan expected the same thing. He expected his teammates to train hard, practice hard, and play hard.
What's the point of the flashback if u explain it word for word before you show it 🤔
The man loved to hear himself talk lol.
Vlad bringing up that he’s currently blocked by the deceased Kobe Bryant was a very very strange flex. Vlad is a very unique individual
He's not a deity. We can talk about dead people in good or bad. Stop pedestalizing him.
Smush averaged around 11 points pg playing with kobe. Then his average went down to around 4 points pg when he went to the heat. Where is the comparison?? Dude said his will to win was the same as kobe level 😂😂. How sway? This guy was average at best, and if his will to win was as great as kobe, then he'd be mentioned with all the greats. What team did he make better🤔
Average is to much credit . Smush was horrible 😂
That doesn't mean anything. Probably, Lakers coach gave Smush more opportunities to score than in other places, he could of been hurt, he could of been blocked by other teammates in Miami
Could of? Its could have
Now imagine having Smush as your second best player on paper 😂😂😂
This man played with smush and kwame at the same time…..how would u feel?

He drove Shaq out so it was his fault
Smush averaged 11ppg his 2 years with Kobe, but under 6ppg elsewhere. Only means Smush scored when Kobe was being doubled and tripled teamed. He actually benefited playing with Kobe. Also those 2 seasons is the only time he made the playoffs. He wasn’t a true PG either only averaged 2-3 assists.
At the end of the day. Kobe desire to win was all about him and his legacy. Didn’t care about teammates or nobody else. Even at the expense of teammates.
In Smush eyes... Kobe died way before that helicopter crash 😅
Such disrespect. Kobe needed to be smacked back then. We're all people at the end of the day.

Vlad with the Kobe smear campaign. When a person dies you can say anything because it goes unchallenged. Lakers had Kobe playing with randoms in the height of his prime
Because Kobe pushed everyone out the door it was his fault
But he had the most dominant player for the most part of it
And no matter how much people wanna spin it - that 2004 loss was ALL on Kobe
About time thanks vlad
But he’s Kobe Bryant. He’s the mamba right. The man was barley winning 45 games.
He said all this when he was alive too.
Kobe the type of dude to tell you "I don't eat cheesecake or celebrate Mother's Day cause I'm a champion and I expect you to do the same."
In the commercial with Jalen he was trolling him in front of his wife with 81 he was a savage
Actually, Kobe did celebrate Mother's Day lol. He worshiped the mother goddess that's commonly known as Kali/Isis/Diana/Semiramis... Check the name of the church he went to before he passed away.

No disrespect to Smush but Kobe was stating facts. In the first 2 parts of the interview Smush said he was bouncing around getting cut. Smush was a summer league player that became the starter cuz The Lakers was to cheap go Get A Real Starter PG. Plus in every sport the Superstar get treated differently especially The MJ of his Era
Smush was pretty good. He was good enough to play for in NBA.
People mad because this guy was bullied by Kobe Bryant, like he's supposed to stfu about what happened in his life, like his life doesn't mean anything to his family and friends.

Looking at Smush's career stats, Kobe wasn't wrong. The Lakers told him they were building a contender after Shaq left, then gave him a starting PG who averaged 3 points and 1 assist the year before in Detroit. I kinda get why Kobe was mad.

Let's be real here. Kobe wasn't a great teammate. He didn't get his team involved or pass the ball. James Harden and Westbrook have more assist than him. Let that marinate and cook slow. He always wanted to ball in clutch moments even though he wasn't clutch. Argue witcha momma that stats back me up. He snitched on Shaq on live TV to cover himself. Has been known to shoot his team out of games but throwing up shots even though he's not hitting (back to the assist deal). Kobe talking about any of his teammates is the pot calling the kettle black.
Some stats are overrated. That's why Westbrook and Harden have no championships no disrespect to those guys. Meanwhile Kobe has 5 rings because not only did he score played defense rebounded and got his teammates involved.
1. Being dead doesn’t change reality or the facts. It’s dishonest to revise history to appease a dead person. 2. These are Smush Parker’s experiences, and these experiences impacted his career. That man can tell his story. 3. If Kobe was concerned about how he would be remembered and spoken of in death, then he had his entire life to shape that legacy - for good, bad, or whatever. 4. Your actions to others matter, and they linger long after you leave.
I respect his canter. Like if Kobe wanted to win a championship so bad some communication is important. How can you expect to win if u don’t communicate with ya teammates? Those (2) years after Shaq left he bares total responsibility for those bad teams cause he was more concerned with outdoing Shaq. He averaged 35ppg but the scouting report on him was let him shoot his team out of the game cause he will keep shooting
