I agree with you in the first part of this video. First year was the hardest for me, I fell behind..it was like learning a new language with all the medical terminology! I would always ask myself if nursing was for me but I kept on going and I didn’t let it break me, I am way more dedicated now and used to the workload :)
thank god i had fundamental one times and also i never knew but ppl STUDY OFF SLIDES and read books for extra information cus the teachers will load u up with so much info and papers only for them to test you on their slides

I agree that fundamentals was a slap in the face but mainly bc you have to learn how to take “nursing exams” & it was information overload... Once specialties started it gets much better.. almost done w/ Community & this has been such a nice easy class this session!

Can you explain how the ATI is intertwined with the course. For example, I was in a program where it was 10% of your final grade. Sadly it brought my B’s to C’s. I am now looking into chamberlain and want to be prepared before starting in August.
Lol I literally take my first semester of nursing school final this Monday! I'm so scared 😅 but I'm glad for the opportunity that I had this semester I feel like I learned so much. I just hate exams 😂
i heard fundamentals isnt hard material wise but its ALOT of material to memorize ...is that true in ur opinion ? my friend is in my absn program that im starting in January and she is telling me the exact same thing. she said the classes now with the exception of med surge are insaneeeee. (not med surge because she is taking that next semester but its not a first semester course)
Yea I agree, I don’t think is hard. However, is the very first time you get expose to nursing material and to the way nursing exams are set up (which is that all answers are correct, but there’s one that is the best). Med surg was hard but I loved it, probably one of my favorite clases, yet!

Fundamentals has a lot of material. I am currently studying for my final which will be on over 40 chapters coming out of 3 books!!
