That guitar was a gift form Lzzy Hale. When they were touring with Halestorm she came out in the middle of the Warnings set and gave it to her.
This was the song that introduced me to The Warning! I never heard them perform it with the strings before until now, it’s dope!

There are actually 23 songs in the show's setlist, though they released two songs, D2D and DK, together because the band performed them that way. I think ES is the last song before the intermission, during which they played the X Anniversary video.

One more thing, it appears that this is the first time you've heard their version. You should go back and watch the OMV for this song which also features Alessia Cara. Then watch the Teatro performance which is how they generally perform the song on tour. This performance was special as it added the strings, done for their 10th anniversary shows.
This was a special and unique performance with the strings. Metallica asked them to do this cover in collaboration with Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara for The Metallica Blacklist album, celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Black Album. The official music video features Alessia as a projection since she couldn’t travel to Mexico due to COVID. In the live performance, her "oh-oh-oh-oh" vocals are still included on the backing track.

Dany is playing a custom Gibson Explorer which was gifted to her by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm; James Hetfield also plays an Explorer. This song was rearranged by The Warning in collaboration with Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara for submission to the Metallica Blacklist album celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Black Album. The instructions they received from Metallica was to turn the song inside out or upside down, and make it their own. I consider it more of a TW song, than a Metallica cover. 😎👍
So, they got their big break doing a cover of this song as children, which while just made so the grandparents could see their progress, was posted to youtube since it was too big for email. It has 25 million views! Metallica tweeted it out. Many years later, Alessia Cara and the Warning were asked to do a cover of it for Metallica's Black List album, and were told they could change it however they wanted, but had to keep the lyrics intact. Most of the bands who contributed to the Blacklist album just did straight covers, but Alessia and the Warning did a complete reimagining of the song, rather than a straight cover! There is an OMV with Alessia, a Teatro epic performance of it, and now this one with the Strings added in!

Lzzy Hale of Halestorm gifted Dany the Gibson Explorer. She had some very high praise for Dany of The Warning...
She said "Dany the the lead guitar player of this band is like the little sister of Randy Rhoades its just amazing watching her work and attack the audience. After giving Dany the guitar she said "your the future of Rock guitar. I want you to have this instrument so the world of Rock guitar can be a better place"!!!

Lzzy actually said “I would like you to pay this forward someday when a guitarist inspires you the way you inspired me.” Lzzy was paying it forward from receiving a guitar from the lead guitarist of Shinedown at the time, who said the same thing to her. Later Lzzy wrote to Dany “Darling, I cannot even tell you how long I've been waiting for someone to ignite me with passion and inspiration on the guitar. You have done that for me," Hale wrote.
Enter Sandman was the first song after intermission, if I remember correctly. The Warning’s version is almost a complete re-write of the original.
I think the intermission was later when they played the X Anniversary video. This was right after Pau performed Breathe. You can see them pushing the piano off the stage at the beginning of the video.
Well Pau and Dany had an intermission - they’re 2/3 of the band, right? LOL! 🤣
I think Enter Sandman was the last song BEFORE the intermission. I could be wrong, but I think the first song after the intermission was S!CK.
@@elgonwilliams7624 on the set list website the anniversary video is played after S!CK (14)and MORE (15) is the first track after the video.
Not to nitpick, but I'm guessing that Muse is their biggest inspiration. However it can be said that Metallica was their biggest industry "supporter" of sorts. They tweeted and reposted (or some such thing) when they posted their 2014 cover which probably helped it go viral. Then followed up by putting this version of ES on the Black List album in 2021. After 2021, that title went to Lzzy Hale who took them on tour with her and repeatedly mentioned them in interviews she did in 2022.
The guitarist of Metallica made a comment in their video saying " the drummer kicks maximum a$$!"

I said ages ago that TW could easily go Symphonic Metal. They have the training and the musicianship. Doesn't sound like Nightwish nor Epica, but oh boy could they carry their own version of the genre. If Dany AND Pau had classical singing training...
They are very familiar with classical music since that is the first thing they learned on piano and they still like classical music. So yes, they could do a symphonic album if they wanted.
While i live these songs from this venue, i dont enjoy the loud crowd noises so.much.
