Welcome back, pals! I'm answering some of the most FAQs I get about meal prep, but I'd also love to know what else you're curious about! Drop a note below and I'll try to answer your questions in the next Q&A video I do :)
For those of us who doesn't like the idea of having left overs too much but still want to "meal prep" another option worth considering is pre chopping veggies or pre cooking some of the components of the dish over the weekends and storing them in airtight containers in the fridge. I noticed that a lot of my cooking time is spent on prepping/cooking veggies and/or meats so having that done over the weekends can save so much time on making meals during work/school days.
@@fresherica4402 I'd love to know more about reheating, too! A video on this topic would be amazing. I don't own a microwave & really don't like them; I know they are useful tho!
So glad I found you!! Been trying to get my ducks in a row to start my personal Chef business. You have answered some questions i had! Just purchased your ebook as well 🙌🏼
Hi Erica! So, I'm wondering if you could help out with family style meal prep videos. Anything and everything that you can offer advice or tips on is so appreciated. I have 3 girls all 4 years apart and my husband of almost 12 years! I'm back in school and trying to find balance and not run around like a chicken with my head cut off. I think meal prepping at least 3 meals a week would help me out so much with time management. I really enjoyed the suggestions and tips you gave in this video and I've actually placed an order for some more containers so I can jump right into meal prepping next week!
Meal prep sounds like it *would* be super helpful for you, Jasmine! My ebook The Beginner's Guide to Meal Prep linked in below this video would probably be a great place for you to start, but I'll also definitely talk more about this over time!
Well done Erica! Very informative. I would love if you did a video on meal prepping to fridge baby meal prepping to freezer. This is one of the questions I find pops up most when researching meal prepping and doing different recipes, because a lot of meal prepping recipes and information surrounds prepping and freezing whole or parts of a meal. Would you please do a video on this? X
Hi, love your videos on insta en UA-cam. Never did meal prep before, but very interested. I normally make a meal plan for a week with 4* different meals. I make them each day or 2 at a time. But never for a week at ones. So I'm learning a lot, but have to get my mind around not thinking about 1meal and combine everything together. Question, you did the dressing on your salad already, don't they get soggy? (Last video) Same with Other sauce's?. Also how do you play how much food to make? (If you are with 2 or 4 or...) Jasmin
Loved this Erica so much I even shared this video on my Facebook page and blog! I know a lot of my friends and family can use these tips and tricks you shared 😁❤️
Hahaha great question, Arga! I share my base rate (which is industry standard here in NYC) on my website fresherica.com/work-with-me/ And more specifics about how I calculate pricing in this ebook! fresherica.com/product/personal-cheffing-101/
I can definitely put this on deck for a future video, but I'll have to do a bit of experimenting! It's not something that's a major part of my own meal prep repertoire right now
Generally, my rule of thumb is to heat it in the same place you cooked it originally, just slowly at a lower temp so things don't dry out! Happy to answer any specific questions!

I’d love to hear more about reheating. It’s why I avoid meal prepping some veggies and seafood.
will definitely share more about this soon!!

Please do a full meal prep video like the one you did for buzzfeed … 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Editing two of these right now! They'll be out next week and the week after L:)

Can you make a video on how you became a professional meal prepper? How did you get started? How did you find clients?
I'll definitely share more about my path in the future!
Please don't tell me I'm not the only one spacing out throughout this video, solely looking at the cutie sleeping huhu.
hehehehehe I'm always distracted by the kitties when they're in the shots when I'm editing too :D
So fun! I would love a video (or maybe a series?!) with some knife skill tips!
I'll have to work some more knife skills into upcoming videos!
Thank you!

Yay Riley I'm so glad to hear it!!

So glad you enjoyed, Elin! Will definitely need to do some research on baby food for this video idea since I'm not a parent myself :)
For almost the whole video I thought the pillow next to you had a face. Also, your cats are cute.
hehehe she loves sleeping up there, it's especially cute

👏👏 amazing video! So helpful!!
So glad! 😍

Hi Erica, do you have any tips on freezer meal prep? Both family style and individual? Best practices/do's and don'ts? Thanks a million!
I can definitely put this on deck for a future video, but I'll have to do a bit of experimenting! It's not something that's a major part of my own meal prep repertoire right now
@@fresherica4402 Thanks! I'll do some experimenting too, and keep you posted. Thanks Erica, your videos are very thoughtfully done, thanks!
What oz is the glass meal prep container?
Do you calculate macros when you cook for a client?
Is meal preping frezzer neals for 50 to 100 days bad for post partum and it would cost 290$
Thanks! I'd really like to know about heating up meals without a microwave - can anyone please advise?

So you have a cat? How does that work with meal prepping and sanitation? Cat hair etc? 😮
Multitasking is absolutely my downfall 😂
hehe like I mentioned, it wasn't always my strong suit either!! There's hope :)
You are gorgeous.
