10 years today we lost Richard , he will always be remembered ! Wonderful man , Great musician, and the Soul of Pink Floyd
I cannot believe it's 10 years already. I'm playing Hammond and Farfisa all day today. RIP Richard.
yeah... cant believe its 10 years already!!
The soul of Pink Floyd I like that
Only seems like yesterday as i keep watching them on youtube and play their music in my car all the time, they will live forever in our hearts and souls.
HDPinkFloyd I remember this day. I started to sing all the songs with Rick on vocals... A sad day that don't want get out of me
Richard was the most quiet unassuming, sensitive member who wrote wonderful melancholy and melodic songs people only WISH they could write..Will be missed forever RIP
Alcohol and coke fuelled womaniser, still in a great band.
i'm pretty sure Rick and Syd are playing wonderful music on the dark side of the Moon now
Rick Wright is the reason that I started playing keyboards and I taught myself by watching and listening to him. He'll always be my hero. RIP
Same here!
same
And Pink Floyd gave me a desire to learn how to play a guitar
I've started with the acoustic one and later will see)
👍👍🙏
Richard was a gentle soul. Fans of Pink Floyd understand how vital his keyboard playing was to their sound.
Absolutely no question about that. I couldn't agree more.
Your comment says it all.
lyric,s kina lacki.
Ty as HH lyric,s kina lacki.
Hear hear to all you say. I would only add that his vocals and harmonies with David are amazing!!
I became a Pink Floyd fan many years after Richard passed away, but I have always felt he is still alive in all the music he gave us. I never met him, but Pink Floyd songs are an extremely important part of my life. David and Richard are two beautiful souls that found each other and started doing music as a single person. Losing Richard, David lost not only a friend and a bandmate, but also a part of himself. When I see videos like this one, tears run down my face as I feel the love David felt for him. RIP Richard, you will be forever missed.
It’s the quiet one you gotta watch! Richard was definitely one to watch! He is missed by millions. RIP
It is only his body that has died. His soul lives.
Rick was a master of sound textures and chord progressions, his work was a huge part of the Pink Floyd Music and for that he'll always be missed. We're lucky to have him made one last tour with Dave before he left for his gig in the sky. Shine on forever, Rick!
Well put! 👏
I think Jon Carin really "absorbed" a lot of Rick.
For example (I hope it's not a blasphemy ...) in "It's a Miracle", on Roger's tour in 2000, I really thought I heard Rick play ...
Rick did school! (I hope you understand my poor English)
@@Enrico.Sbardolini indeed! In fact I've read somewhere that in the Division Bell Tour it was Jon that did most of the keyboard programming for the synth sounds. Not to mention he somehow managed to play with both Dave and Roger.
Not just a part; the core.
The love and respect between Richard and David is so evident. Thank you for this!
Richard Wright & Mike Pinder the two angels of the 70ties rock era. Classic and unforgotten.
I have never mourned the death so much for a musician than I have for Richard, it's almost as if he was a relative of mine. RIP.
How can anybody dislike this ?? Richard was a true Genius, none egotistical and a nice chap all round. R.I.P Richard
What a friendship between Richard and Gilmour. A beautiful tribute.
Definitely my favorite keyboardist.
Definitely my favorite band.
Rest in Peace Richard. ✌
🎹🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎹
Mike Pardue
Rick, you were one of my childhood heroes, you are sorely missed. Thank you for all the great music and good memories. Rest in peace till the day of the resurrection.
RIP Richard. Thank you for so much inspiring music. And a nod to Dick Parry, who lives up the road from me. He's the most down-to-earth, normal bloke. But boy can he play that sax!
Rick is playing his beautiful and melancholic melodies in the Great Gig In the Sky
RIP Rick Wright, forever in our hearts 😭😭
Richard Wright always created the environment for the songs and was always underrated but had one of the biggest effects on the Pink Floyd sound
Thanks for sharing this video. RIP Rick Wright.
I don't care if Rick was shy, low-key or whatever, that was his inner self. I can feel him playing when I listen to the epilogue to Shine On You Crazy Diamond, and something becomes absolute and pure musical greatness.
Nice to have the camera on Rick for once 👍
~ I know; same with John Entwistle and The Who. They were major parts of the whole picture and are often overlooked.
Hello, I'm a major fan. I grew up and lived, with pink Floyd, wright next to my. Ever song, means so much to me. I can relate to each song with something that was going on, in my personal life!! Richard Wright will be severely messed, awesome musician! VERY, EXTREMELY, BEAUTIFUL SOLE, INSIDE AND OUT ! GOD BLESS.
What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul. Thank you Richard for sharing your life with us.
Rick will be in my memory forever! This is the man that created the greatest ever piece of music - Us and Them! RIP!
My favourite song of Pink Floyd, and simply, my favorite song ever. What an absolute masterpiece that was.
rick wright, the most sensitive person in rockhistory.never to be forgotten.RIP rick!we al love you and miss you terribly!
Wonderful artist of the keyboard ! Often the most undervalued and unnoticed member of the band and yet at the heart of the sound. And he sung a lot! I always remember the last time he and David played Echoes together such a delicacy and the joy of two consummate artists enjoying bouncing riffs off each other.
He was a legend, he will always be remembered and loved... Love you Richard...RIP
I grew up being tranced by Rick . He will definitely live forever.
I miss and love you Richard Richard Richard ..... never forgotten Thanks HDP for putting this together, Wonderful !
Loved the way wright looked at Gilmour as he nodded back.
I LOVE this so much....Thanks HD
Rest In Peace dear Richard. 💕
Ten years without the beautiful synergy of Wright & Gilmour combined is like a crime against humanity and 10 years a life sentence. Long live Rick and David.
Thank You so much for sharing this 😍Much respect and Love ❤️ GNF .RIP Richard ❣️⭐️
R.I.P Richard 😪
😍😍😍😍😍😢😢😢😢😢
The rest of Floyd should do a tribute tour for this legend forgot how good a song writer this man was your music will live forever my 7 year old boy love's this song
Richard's keyboard was such an important part of the Pink Floyd Sound. If he had not been a member of the Group, I am sure that Pink Floyd had not become the fantastic group they became. Also I cannot believe that it is 10 years since he travelled to the Great Gig in the Sky. RIP Richard.
Rick n Nick were the spine that consistently held it together, and without Rick n his keys, Floyd wouldn’t have been a patch on what it was! RIP Rick, still missing him! :(
brian stewart They “ALL” worked great together...They were “Are The Best “!
If that doesn't get to you nothing will RW is missed always Thanks David for bringing him back out was amazing
R.I.P Richard , Forever in our hearts...
Richard wright rest in peace. Know that your music will live on for eternity.
Heaven will be a nicer place with Richard in residence. R.I.P. Sweet man.
Lovely. Hard to believe that 9/15 marks ten years now since he passed away.
Richard was a pure genius, marvellous guy, will be sadly missed by pf ,and all his adoring fans.
Superb; such a well balanced sound and great harmonies with the vocals. RIP Rick you continue to inspire.
I've been listening to a lot of Floyd lately and really feeling his loss. I saw him perform with David in 2006 and I'm so glad I did as it was his last tour ever. It was so wonderful hearing and seeing them play together. I even got a little misy-eyed during Time when they were harmonizing together in the refrain. Their voices blended beautifully. And of course the epicness of Echoes. Much love to you Rick!
This video is so moving, so many memories, this is my treat for the month, should I say for the year ! RIP Richard you gave me some many chills ! Hope you're playing for the angels right now...
I am not so lucky to watch Pink Floyd live but with them in the audio-visual since their inception. No body believes what melodies they have created. God bless
I miss him to. I agree with David Gilmour's decision to end Pink Floyd. There could be no replacement for Rick Wright.
~ They tried with "The Final Cut" but that turned out to be a Roger Waters solo work with some nice Gilmour guitar solos. No Wright, no Floyd.
😪😪😪
... Jon Carin ... hi really "absorbed" a lot of Rick, OMHO
Already an Decade since we Lost one of Rocks Greatest Keyboard/ Piano/Synthesiser Player Ever..........!!!!!!!!!!!
and composer
Thank U for the tribute and marking the tenth anniversary of his passing with a beautiful live performance of one of my favorite tracks off of their discography. Dave's energy is so positive here as well.
Not sure why this popped up for me two years on BUT I’m so glad it did. One of my treasured possessions is the double DVD of this concert; what a gentleman!
This has made me cry - but thank you guys - thank you SO much!
You me both 😪
Why would anyone give this a thumbs down this guy was a musical genius
i´ll never forget this guy...for all he did..and because he left us in the day my birthday... r.i.p mr Wright...great post man!!!
Richard was a genius, end of. RIP great man, much missed, but we lucky ones still have the music 🎶
Неповторимые. Браво. На все времена.
There is no Floyd without Rick. His brilliant keyboards make Floyd the Floyd. God rest his soul.
Rick fue la delicadeza y sensibilidad del sonido de Pink Floyd.
DEP querido amigo.
R.I.P. Richard Wright! one of my favourite synth artist ! I love him !
Richard's lyrics on Wearing the Inside Out certainly pull at my soul strings and I think tell us a lot about the man himself...
The music lives on forever
Key member of the wonderful Floyd
Always missed - such a great player, writer and one of the mighty men behind some of my favourite records
Lovely post
its been 10 years .... still part of my everyday life
R.I.P. in Peace and Thank you, Richard! We miss you.
Love for richard❤️
Richard was by far the coolest member of The Floyd....still miss him.
a man of conviction who never varied.. cant be replaced..bye rickie..!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was fortunate to see the On an Island tour at Radio City Music Hall in 06. David, Rick and Dick Parry on sax. It probably won't get any better than that for a concert. Oh yeah, David Crosby and Graham Nash were singing backup.
Mr Wright u were responsible for my two favorite pink floyd songs miss u rest in peace brother with love n respect 4 ever
👍😎 So Good! I’d like to see the whole video of Richard playing that organ.
Gorgeous R-I-P Richard
The Echoes of Rick are part of Us And Them, and One Of These Days will be the Time to Breathe again and join him and his magic at the Great Gig In The Sky.
People should take heart and keep playing the music he made . There is no end to what has been begun , there never is . Let Julia Dream ring out on a thousand keyboards .....
BRILLIANT...
R.I.P. Richard Pink Floyd Now and Forever . I heard Pink Floyd for the first time back in 73-74 Dark Side of The Moon and everything from early Floyd till there last . Rock On Fly high Richard .
Astonishing...
Thanks for Sharing...
😎✌
Richard Wright and Pink Floyd are songs for eternity
Music and background beautyfull....
I can watch this as long as i die.
Bravo 👏
I still listen to Wet Dream album every day. Its sounds from heaven bring me inner peace.
Wearing the inside out, uma das minhas músicas favoritas do Pink Floyd! 🎹❤️
It's just a shame that R.W. made him feel so useless. Thanks David for letting him out of his shell before his death.
It's certainly true that Roger Waters was oftentimes hard and demanding, and Rick Wright was sometimes on the receiving end of that mistreatment. At the same time, it can't be denied that Waters was the ideas man behind, and wrote much of the music and all of the lyrics of, some of Pink Floyd's greatest achievements (much of Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall).
Sam Cosentino lyrics without music are simply poems.
@@samcosentino8858 you also gotta check out Wright's albums I think he had alot of ideas that Floyd could've implemented but at the end Rodgers (more of his presence) and Davids made him stand back. Would could've been oh well
Roger is a great musician but at the same time a great idiot
@@samcosentino8858 without rick, pink floyd would not have the surreal and ceremonial atmosphere that it had, contribution of its keyboards. Roger was not everything
Still to this day his keyboard work on Meddle is amazing!
Nice tribute to genius Richard Wright never Will forget him
This just gives me goosebumps!
I wrote on my school desk at 13 "set the controls to the heart of the sun" nobody then knew who was Pink Floyd back then. I found myself sitting on the dark side of the room...and thankful for the embracement.
I had never heard that he had passed! RIP Richard!!
He is very much missed, a great musician
Ahhh, Thats awesome....Nice touch. Cheers 'N' Beers
We’ll never forget you guy!
Love to hear Mr parry on saxophone
