This is why they call him The Magician, The GOAT, or in my case being a wrestling fan, he's "The Best There Was, The Best There Is, and The Best That There Ever Will Be" to quote Brett Hart.
I know that on some of his shots he truly does Get Lucky, but his skills and pool knowledge far out does his competition, even Bustamante who is another wicked player. He's beaten them all, all the other greats have fallen to him at one time. My favorite player EVER!!!

He is the GOAT In pool! Watched him growing up it was hella fun watching him making trick shots on live tournament games. What a great human being as well. Very down to earth. Everybody in my country (Philippines) respects him. He is half GOD half human for sure! Very humble person. He don’t even have fancy stuff he just living the normal life and enjoying life to the fullest. Watch his documentary and you will be amazed of how great of a person Efren is.

The GOAT!!! He does trick shots (which some people do for few tries) in a high level tournament against other world Champions. You cant beat that.

It's not enough know the angles, but one must know how hard to shoot and whether to apply any English to the cue ball. Efren knows it all.
To have any chance to beat Efren, he must not be allowed to pocket any balls directly. Either the cue ball or object ball must hit at least one cushion before pocketing.

idk why most of his opponents are usually sitting there all butt hurt...I would lmfao in amazement...and be happy I got to see it in person
What gets me as a non-player is the slow tempo of so many shots. The target ball gets to the pocket as it's just about to lose all it's momentum. Like pausing before dipping your toe in water. Plop. The cue ball then glides up to the next spot politely. It's like a lovely slow song that ends with a gentle bang.
Not every pro has that style, even within the filipinos. This style can sellout games if the shot is missed as it lays easy for the next guy
The legend actually started playing carom billiards before playing pocket billiards, for those who didn't know

@@dormamo6917 carom is a pocketless table billiard where depending on rules the player's goal is for the cue ball to hit one or two or three balls while hitting the walls, called cushions and depending on one's perspective carom isn't usually classified as "pool" due to absence of pockets and lack of balls

The crazy part is how little error you have there on that shot, young.. or not so young. When you're older, you still have pride, but little time.. so what is a life sentence then? You can almost get away with anything, especially with skill over time.. but I wonder.. Mr EF.. Would you have played that shot differently 🤔... If you had more time or a time traveling machine?
Maybe that was just an exhibition match. One of the greats. I'm glad I had a chance to watch him play CJ Wiley. Dennis O was there too. It was kinda rough 😕 getting those pictures seeing afterwards how tired ER obviously was. I'm just grateful he might have went out of his way to come play with us and CJ.
