Omfg I never been so excited about a Silverado an I been a fan all my life
And they did it!! Badass interior, great options, AND supercruise!! 2022 Silverado will be my new truck next year
Edit: i hope supercruise is an option for other trims than the High Country. The zr2 should definitely be able to have it at that trim and man i hope they tweaked the performance of the 6.2 for the zr2... We will see! Dont mess this up Chevy!!!
I hope you aren't wanting to tune it anytime soon because gm doesn't want to help the aftermarket tune them right now because of cybersecurity but ford is already allowing certain companies to tune the new f150s.
The 6.2 in the ZR2 still has the same HP and Torque. No changes at all with the 6.2.
@@MrRGiller yeah just found that out. Any info on if super cruise will be offered to the zr2? I hope so!!
@@ponce1521 I believe it does have Super cruise.
@@albertpintor3522 this is why I like the old interior, so much customization! Good luck when all those fancy elections go out :)
Hi Mike. Nice vid. Liked before watching because I knew it was going to be good
Chevy nailed it
Agreed
I wish they would bring back the red turn signal arrows they had in the glass on the mirrors they were so cool on a truck
Where the hell is the TRX and RAPTOR killer at
This MASTERPIECE is a BEAST. 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
At least it’s not as ugly as the 2500hd, Not a bad update just wish there was a TRX competitor and power upgrades to the v8’s. I think the new front end will grow on me.
Same
yes. ugly 2500hd
and not even close to RAPTOR or TRX power.
Sharp!!
I love my 20- 2500 HD LTZ. I'm wondering if anything will change on them. I basically have all of those feature on mine now except I have the 6.6L. (I'd love to see better mpg, vs. gpm) The cameras are a major bonus for backing up to a receiver hitch trailer and 5th wheel. One stop plop, drop and go.
Looks AWESOME!!! can't wait to get my SILVERADO ZR2
Someone's going to get a call from GM this morning. Embargo officially released at 4:00 p.m.
Thank you chevy for finally releasing something worthwhile in the Silverado lineup!
I thought the tremor looked good but nvm that Zr2 looks so aggressive! The only thing I don’t like it’s the tiny sunroof
When are you gonna put an ev in your silverado?
Looks like the new 2022 silverado LTZ is coming soon
I have every available option on my 20 Silverado, with that being said other than a big screen that I have no intention of parking in my driveway and playing with plus self driving cruise what am I missing out on.?
Nothing. She's the Director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. Their spiel works on some people, actually a lot of people.
@@cardinalfang7725 that's true.
I see the sunroof hasn’t changed, what’s HP output of the 6.2L
Most likely still 420hp & 460lb ft. of torque
Finally Chevy is making a TRX and Raptor killer.
Not really, as of yet.
@@dallasfrost1996 maybe they will come out with a wide body version in the near future
@@cayden5642 Yes, hopefully! Chevy could still make this ZR2 into a direct competitor, by making an upgraded version with all the extras. Like an LT4, widebody, better suspension, bigger wheels, etc. They could do all that and make it the ZR2-X or something along those lines.
Don't get me wrong, the new look and interior is awesome but who is honestly going to off road a $70k+ vehicle to the trucks full potential. New vehicle's are just becoming more and more out of reach for the average consumer.
That’s why they have the custom trailboss albeit still high price but yeh, this is like the high country for off-road.
@@ramdbzdude0_0 I get it, but still a 50k truck. You can't touch anything newer than about a 14 or 15 for less than 30. All I'm saying is the market for 20 or 30k decent trucks is loonnnggg gone.
@Nathan Anderson must be nice to be in that position, respectfully, good for those who can burn money. My point is I can't justify another mortgage payment for a vehicle.
Just get a nice truck and then a RZR to beat on.
@@jimmyteter true
How did you find this video? Thanks for sharing it
It was leaked someone getting fired😂
@Sylar Hunt wait is the new refresh for only the lt and high country? Or is it going to be for the ltz too?
Leaked vid
Why the colum shifter ??? :((((
I saw it first on Chevy Dude Shorts! Nice leak. I certainly have no plans to trade in my '18 Sierra, but the ZR2 should sell well if the price is right. V8 engine, with front and rear lockers is a win.
Why don’t they just put an LT4 in that
Adding all these lifted options but still no competition for the Shelby F-150. Chevy needs a new sport truck. Or if gmc would put out a new typhoon or cyclone it would be cool if it stayed true to what they were back in the day
Sweet truck. #5 I hope?
You taking reservations yet?? I wouldn't mind one!!
This vid was just leaked bro
What about the gmc sierra? So no panoramic sunroof
I will be ordering a ZR2
Sweet, now put the new 2.7 in the twins.
The zr2 is basically an h2, but better it has an e locker in front.
Stick some 35x12.5s that are decent tires under it and it will be a beast.
الله يرزقنا
English only
Hell yeahh can’t wait for my new zr2 Silverado tremor killer in midnight edition!!! Front rear lockers with still a v8 not like ford with their v6 turbo weed eater!
Tremor is for Super Duty models, don't be idiot. And actually the Raptor will make fun of it, with those insignificant 420 hp and poor 460 ft of torque Lol.
Not only is the TT V6 quicker, but also they’re coming out with a Raptor R in a few months. Presumably coming with the 760HP GT500 V8. Chevy is seriously lame, and could’ve put an LT4/LT5 in it.
@@sethsteener good for whoever can afford it ... I cant!! But I can prbably afford zr2 or tremor somewhere in the 60k range
@@baldomerovega65 perhaps. Truck prices are insane. I just think trying to pit this against a TRX or Raptor (R or not) is stupid.
@@sethsteener thats what I’m saying it’s not a raptor or trx competitor... it’s a tremor f 150, ram rebel, tundra trd pro , titan pro 4x competitor there all been updated..
11100th viewed
Why does Chevy put limitations on options? To get the power up and powet down tailgate, why do I have to give up the 40/20/40 front seat???
So they make money on a higher trim package
Awesome interior! BUT greatly let down that it won’t even compare to the TRX or Raptor.
That’s not it’s job
@@madclone84 then what’s the trail boss for
Gm has three versions of the off-road trucks that only compete against the tremor and the rebel
madclone84 but if it had the horsepower and speed or a trx, it would even be cooler
@@BobThe9534 In the wise words of Jeremy Clarkson speed and power
The ZR2 looks fucking legit!
It looks good I just wish it had the lt4 as and engine option
@@green_and_yellow_2537 agreed!
Yessir
WE do not need another mild all terrain pick up truck
we need a masterpiece to beat ford RAPTOR and ram TRX.
or at least be on top three.
any person can lift and add off road tires.
Hey just trying to let you know that this is my edited video footage that you are using
Lemme guess they want 100k for it...... yeah that will be awesome for about 1% of the population
@Nathan Anderson with the way the market is 65k flips to 85k
Lol
Wait does the zr2 coke super charged??? Fuckiiingggg General Motors I love u🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Language
Was hoping for panoramic sunroof
U can add one yourself 😂
They look a lot better than the current GM 1500s. Then again, that’s not hard to do.
Needs wider fender flares
Maybe it was a blessing in disguise not getting the chance to buy a trail boss in the past year. This ZR2 absolutely kills it! Can't beleive Chevy keeps out doing themselves!
Badass truck
Language
@@BobThe9534 you must be really bored
@@ryanbonser361 lol
@@BobThe9534 allright boomer, every kid thats under the age of 4 are the only one to still watch how they talk, which brings me onto my next point. Kids under the age of 14 are recommended to use youtube for kids which won't get you access to these videos. So no, we don't need to watch our language because we don't have a valid reason
@@gtasanandreascluckinbell don't be dumb, u sound like an underage kid rn, or a kid who jus turned 14, now I bet u about to say, no u sound like an underage kid, smh.
This needs a truck version of Corvette's 5.5L V-8.
Or maybe just put In an engine like the trx
That frontend is even worse than before.
Not really
Not at all.
@@MrRGiller I just looked at it again and honestly it is worse. The worst part about the current design is the hood line is higher than the cab and box. It does not flow with the rest of the truck. With the refresh, the front bumper is now higher than the rear bumper and it now looks even worse. The front just does not match up with the cab and bed.
@@willardgentry6624 Agreed. I personally prefer the current ones way more. The 2019-2021 Silverado front end while was controversial, looked more finished off and complete, and in my opinion badass. On top of that, the current 1500 actually still maintains the classic Silverado look to a degree, while also being modern and unique.
Whereas this Refreshed version doesn't really capture "Silverado" as much in its design at all... Its now starting to look more like the Tahoe and/or the weird HDs... Interior is awesome, but exterior is a letdown. I would've been completely fine with them maintaining the current exterior, and had just focused simply on the interior and power trains.
The placement of the bowtie is just weird for a Silverado. I'm guessing they did that so the transition from the gas to electric Silverado wouldn't be as huge of difference from an exterior standpoint. We've had a glimpse at what could very well be the next all new and Electric Silverado, which looks mighty similar to this new refreshed Silverado front end...
better interior, 6.2, lockers front and rear - looks good to me
I still prefer the k2xx which we have because it looks way better than this bodystyle but at least its better than the lackluster 19 to 21 with the new interior but sadly if you like tuning than I would not recommend this because gm doesn't want to allow tuning on these new ecms because of cybersecurity but ford is already allowing certain companies to tune the new f150s. I'm a ford and gm fan but I wish gm would've kept the k2 until now because there is nothing I like about the 19 to 21 except for the 10 speed and the ability to tune. Gm needs to allow tuning on these because its definitely the one thing that would stop me from considering this at all
Did GM get rid of the active fuel management on these new models? Video didn’t mention, if not I won’t be buying
They did. They added 'dynamic fuel management ' that improves on the active fuel management.
With that said I wonder if the new fuel management will solve the engine burning oil that the silverado is notorious for
Pretty sure they did
What % of that 60% lifted actually leave the road?
I don’t get it zr2 is just a trailboss no? You can get the 6.2 in the trailboss.
The suspension is different zr2 has a wide body and different tires and front and rear locking diffs as well as a higher ground clearance and better approach, departure, and breakover angles
@@adrianmadrid3432 Are we sure has a wider body? I didn't see any orange markers the Raptor has plus just looked like they threw on some fender flares.
@@jimmyteter the raptor just throws on flares and markers. Same thing minus the gay lights. And gay Ford
I don’t get it ether the raptor and the trx compete
Against each other
And the tremor and the rebel compete
So why in the hell does gm need 3 trucks to compete with the tremor and rebel
@@jimmyteter those marlee light are only for if it’s over a certain width I think it is 80 inches so if the truck was like 76 it could go to 80 and be 4 inches wider without the marker lights again these numbers are not accurate just a example
Hopfully regular cab short beds
Not going to happen. They don't sell enough.
No, crew cab, long beds
Don't sell enough what ?
Joe cobra reg. Cab short beds I guess
@@joecobra4905 They don't sell enough reg cab with short beds.
That ZR2 looks better I own a Trail Boss 2021 but finally GM do some big changes inside now I wonder how much will be the price 🤔🤔that ZR2 looks charm then another problem it’s the issues for microchip GM stop Productions for 2 weeks 😵💫😵💫😵💫
I have 21 boss too! I love the new interior hopefully the price it’s right to trade. I don’t even want the zr2 just one with a upgrade interior. Hopefully orders open soon before my lifters blow.
Chevy finally caught up to everything the raptor had 10 years ago.
Yeah but I'm sure this truck won't be bending frames catching tiny air off tiny hills
I wouldn’t even say that it’s to the first gen raptors level of off road performance. They didn’t really build it for that purpose, rather as more of a high quality overlander/trail rig. Suspension isn’t as good as the first gen raptor, it’s not as wide, less wheel travel, and other little stuff related to frame reinforcement and suspension geometry. I have no doubt that they can make something like the Raptor, but this isn’t it sadly.
Raptor didn't have supercruise
Dear
followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who
buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into
the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service,
the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a
malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help
will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep
your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.GM is a big bluff
First I hope
you are!
Congrats on being first
Chevy has the most dependable, long lasting trucks. The new interior kills Ram and Ford . This A+ interior needs to be placed in the Suburban and Tahoe as well.
Have you seen a 2021 f150 king ranch
Agreed
That front end looks like the truck hit something head on and the bumper fell off. Awful.
Threed
They are not pickup trucks anymore All i want is a truck to use for work like people used to do. Regular cab long bed i don't want all this crap
Ok boomer
Second i hope
BOOM! #2
Chevy should have kept the k2xx till this because 19 to present looks shitty and the interior is nothing better than the k2xx
Esta re culera
Took an ugly design and made it worse. Great job GM!
This is where the fanboys start attacking me.
Your opinion your money.
