Quick tip for anyone who needs it - If u are like me and mainly record and mix vocals. set your workspace up similar to what is shown in the video, and save it as a template. once saved set it as your default template. that way everytime you open fl studio everything is ready for you to start recording.
Do you have a video on how you do vocal comping in FL 24? I like your process of setting up and recording vocals. I’m definitely going to try it. Great video. Got a new subscriber.
what do you do if the three icons never appear i have gone through this process on new projects 5 times now to a t and it has not popped up with the recording button like that
Hey, new to the channel, so far great, I am working on recording metal vocals, do you have any tips on making vocals sound better, EQ, compression, or just clean/dirty singing in general? Any help is nice.
@Shane_O_Macofficial for me alot of metal vocals sound good with multiple layers. If u have a good enough range try playing around with guttural on top of a fry scream. Older style songs in general just have very many vocal layers. Look at chris liepe vocal breakdowns he does for certain songs that have available track outs.
The best thing to do is learn eq and compression separately and when you have a decent grasp on those then start practicing. Tutorials will only take you so far, consider them training wheels. Putting it to practice is how you get a greater understanding on whatever you’re trying to do. If you haven’t already watch a ton of vocal chain videos as well and get you a Waves or slate digital subscription so you have access to every plugin you’ll ever need. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck brother
Do you use Waves V15 Plugins? Mine don't work because of some WaveShell error. I tried, researched, reinstalled and altered so much but it just won't work.
Yes I had that happen to me when I updated everything. It kept trying to load the new plugins through older waveshell versions. I’m not sure what the exact fix was because I tried alot of things at once. I did the global cleanup tool under settings in the Waves Central app that helped cleanup and organize everything. I also uninstalled and re-installed the plugins. The older versions of waveshell are what cause the error I think.
