dont get a 7600x spend 100 more and get a 7800x3d currently the best cpu in the world for gaming the 7600x is pricesd so badly. a wel maintained 7800x3d will still be viable for many years

He initially tried to sell it to me for 418 usd with a downpayment of 100 usd(and gave me a free asus rog gold 1000w psu hoping that'd bait me to buy the 7800xt at said price), I declined. So he just gave it to me at 100 usd. Its why I watched this video in the 1st place so I can check its performance. Its a sapphire card.
@@Nameless56711 i currently got a RM850X psu, a 240mm lian li Galahad II trinity AIO, Team groups TForce delta RGB memory (32g; and is really cool how the edge is RBG) and a B650 Aorus elite AX ice mobo. All inside this mid-tower SAMA brand case i got off newegg for $50 bucks, came with 4 rgb fans too. I honestly love my setup a lot and it runs super smooth, been 6 months already. If i upgrade it again within the year, i think imma get a a Full Tower case that has two glass sides instead of one. And because it’s bigger so i can hold a 360mm AIO and switch from the galahad trinity to Lian Li’s infinity mirror fans (they look alot cooler than the ones I have) and switch out my case fans to lian li fans so everything is all on one controller and one software and looks uniform. I currently have to use two different softwares to edit my case fans (which are SAMA brand) and cpu cooler fans (which are Lian Li)

And when i’m playing shit like COD, Gears, or Resident Evil with damn near most of my settings turned up, i don’t hit higher than like 72 degrees and it goes back down to like 55-65 when i’m in between matches or when I pause the game. this is for my CPU. And i can’t really tell you at the moment, because i rarely look at my GPU temps, but it’s usually around 42 - mid/ high 50s when i’m gaming. If i can recall correctly, i’ve never seen my GPU higher than like 60 degrees or something.

I recently built the same combo, 7600x + 7800xt. When testing cyberpunk with ray tracing on, and max graphic settings at 1440p, I have around 100fps during combats and low 1% is at 80 fps. Your result show much lower fps, I'm really curious the reason of different outcomes
@@stockpilethomas7900 it's great. I got a rather premium 7800xt, powercolor red devil, it cools much better than regular 7800xt. 7600x runs a bit hotter. I can pretty much play any game with max settings smoothly at 2k resolution. I did tune a bit undervolting for 7600x , hottest is 70 c and 7800xt hottest at 65-70c.

Sounds expensive if he had different monitors haha ! You don't really need a monitor of that resolution to test it, it wont look good but the benchmark will be accurate

@@paliagaming i have 165hz monitor but i only use 144hz bc i dont have a display port cable, it realy depends if you play competetive games like cs go or chill games like minecraft. For most people i would reccomend 165 but if you tryhard csgo i would get 244 or something like that.

@@bernardolopes1025 The graphic card have not caused any problems, it works very well for the tasks that I required, and although I do not have a top of range processor I almost never experience any bottlenecks, I use it in modern video games at full graphic settings in 1440p 4k and It has even given me 30 fps in native 8k max graphics settings in games like RE3 Remake (i play with Ray Tracing in allmost my games and works fine, excepting mayybe exclusive of NVIDIA like Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2 I also use it for 3D, video editing, AI deeplearning tasks, programming. I recommend it as long as you do not require specific Nvidia technologies (like AI or those things) or Path tracing, I have only had problems running old 3D games that do not have support with DX12 or maybe vulkan (such as Garrys Mod and SCP Breach Contaiment)
I have also experienced that the graphic are used at 60 - 70% in some games (giving 40 to 50 FPS) with the CPU at 40% (which should not cause a bottleneck) in certain types of games such as GTA V or MSFS 2020 (in 2024 it works fine) I don't know if it's a problem with the drivers or if they are old games. In the most of the games that doesnt happen and i have 60+ fps all maxed out 1440p (without FSR or FG)

@bernardolopes1025 yep 4k on some games natively runs 50-60fps (like spiderman remastered, RE3 Remake, GTA 5 (without mods), and some others only performs well with fsr and fg), gta 6 will run, I don't know if it will work with maximum graphics at 60 fps natively, but what is certain is that this graphics card will have support for many years of improvements through driver updates and AMD technologies, so with them it will definitely run very well with everything at maximum.

If your monitor is 1440p, then 7800XT is the minimum. I don't know if FSR can help enough above this resolution. Path tracing is way to go. Ray tracing does not justify such demandingness in relation to the visual part it provides. A higher resolution usually looks better than turning on ray tracing. After all, when the action starts, the only thing that matters is good response and smooth animation. Cosmetics are not even noticed then. Almost like sex. 😁

so 1440p 144hz monitor is plenty for this setup I am sim racing gamer mainly non competitive so something like MSI G274QPF-QD (170hz) is enough or should I buy MSI G274QPX 240hz. thanks for the work bro
only 80 fps in cyberpunk is illegal, i have a ryzen 3600 and rx 6800 and i thought having only 65 was so low for very high 1440p, looks like thats about how high it gets with these cards
r5 7600x are overkill for 7800xt but now prices of r5 7600/x are relative low just like cheap am5 mobos so they worth much more then build am4 and then some x3d cpu which are pretty expensive while on am5 you could easilkly go with zen5 too
decent preformance but he 7600x is priced so bad it makes no sence to purchase it. go with a 7600 or bite the bullet and get the best gaming cpu in the world 7800x3d which is a steal for its current price.

@bmqww223 AMD needs to go all in features to make their cards standard out. I like AMD because they make good cards for the price, but what Greedia offers right now for my needs, like dlss and rtx hdr, it's definitely worth paying that nvidia tax🫠

Expect 10 fps less in the foresty areas. Not all benchmarkers willing to play the entire games just for a video but I got the point.

open amd Control pannel. Go to Display Tab , Enable Super Resolution and will able to play any game in 4k resolution with your 1080p Monitor

The drivers and stuff have been updated since then and some games run better with the 7800 xt Gpu than it did in this video

Thoughts on the RTX 4070/Ti/S instead of the 7800 XT, anyone? Im planing to put together this same build but can't decide on the GPU..
For 2k resolution 12gb of vram is not enough(or soon not going to be enough),so i guess 4070 TI Super,or for 1080p anything really)

@@paliagaming i have 165hz monitor but i only use 144hz bc i dont have a display port cable, it realy depends if you play competetive games like cs go or chill games like minecraft. For most people i would reccomend 165 but if you tryhard csgo i would get 244 or something like that.

@@bernardolopes1025 The graphic card have not caused any problems, it works very well for the tasks that I required, and although I do not have a top of range processor I almost never experience any bottlenecks,
I use it in modern video games at full graphic settings in 1440p 4k and It has even given me 30 fps in native 8k max graphics settings in games like RE3 Remake (i play with Ray Tracing in allmost my games and works fine, excepting mayybe exclusive of NVIDIA like Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2
I also use it for 3D, video editing, AI deeplearning tasks, programming. I recommend it as long as you do not require specific Nvidia technologies (like AI or those things) or Path tracing, I have only had problems running old 3D games that do not have support with DX12 or maybe vulkan (such as Garrys Mod and SCP Breach Contaiment)
I have also experienced that the graphic are used at 60 - 70% in some games (giving 40 to 50 FPS) with the CPU at 40% (which should not cause a bottleneck) in certain types of games such as GTA V or MSFS 2020 (in 2024 it works fine) I don't know if it's a problem with the drivers or if they are old games. In the most of the games that doesnt happen and i have 60+ fps all maxed out 1440p (without FSR or FG)

@bernardolopes1025 yep 4k on some games natively runs 50-60fps (like spiderman remastered, RE3 Remake, GTA 5 (without mods), and some others only performs well with fsr and fg), gta 6 will run, I don't know if it will work with maximum graphics at 60 fps natively, but what is certain is that this graphics card will have support for many years of improvements through driver updates and AMD technologies, so with them it will definitely run very well with everything at maximum.

If your monitor is 1440p, then 7800XT is the minimum. I don't know if FSR can help enough above this resolution.
Path tracing is way to go. Ray tracing does not justify such demandingness in relation to the visual part it provides. A higher resolution usually looks better than turning on ray tracing.
After all, when the action starts, the only thing that matters is good response and smooth animation. Cosmetics are not even noticed then. Almost like sex. 😁

Your monitor is the problem as rx7800xt is meant to be used for 144p gaming and it is slightly bottlenecked by your cpu at 1080 resolution.

r5 7600x are overkill for 7800xt but now prices of r5 7600/x are relative low just like cheap am5 mobos so they worth much more then build am4 and then some x3d cpu which are pretty expensive while on am5 you could easilkly go with zen5 too
