I am American and also love the minimalist lifestyle and no one here is blaming the Russian people. Imagine that your family is living their life, doing your everyday things you love to do, the the next day your home is bombed. Your children are killed. Just because another leader of a neighboring country wants to run your country. Your husband goes off to fight and you don’t know if you will ever see him again. That is what is is like to be invaded. That is the way things are in Ukraine now. The Russians are not seeing the devastation, the deaths of babies on your media. Your media is not free. Ukraine is fighting back against the invaders because they do not want a pro-Putin puppet running their country. They elected their own president and want to live free like everyone else. We all hate war. Why can’t the men who run things keep to their own borders? Why start wars that cause innocent people to lose everything. To lose their babies?
I talked a lot with my grandma about the holocaust. Asked her a lot of questions. That was 40 years after Worldwar 2. But I have never asked anyone who is presently part of a genocide… So tell me how does it feel?
I live in the U.S. and personally I haven't met one person who has said anything bad about Russians. We know you do not want war just like everyone else. We love you and pray for your safety everyday. I hope you have a wonderful day and keep being the wonderful person you are!!!

I closely follow media on both continents and generally, I did not perceive any blame for the ordinary Russian people - on the contrary - the war is clearly seen as an affair between the governments. I grew up in Vienna 1 hour from the iron curtain and my home country bills itself as a bridge between East & West. We all - West & East - just want to live in peace ✌️ 💕🌿✨

From an American….The whole world might be against the Russian government and (obviously) the Russian Army. But the whole world is FOR the Russian people. We do understand the distinction. I think most people are sorry that all of you - at least the people who are against shelling Ukrainian hospitals and schools, killing people in bread lines, and bombing civilian apartment buildings - are suffering too. At least, I have not heard one person here say anything about hating Russians in general. Just those Russians who are massacring the Ukrainian people. Some day, as I said to someone else, you will get the whole story from your Ukrainian relatives who you trust. If they survive. (And I sincerely hope they do.). This isn’t something that propaganda-from any source -can cover for long. Listen to what they tell you if you think the stories you are hearing couldn’t be true. If we weren’t seeing the pictures, we wouldn’t believe it either. Not in 2022! We know that the Russian people are just like people everywhere. Mostly good, with a few bad apples, just like any other people. And we wish you happiness and prosperity and health. Someday, I hope we’ll be friends. But it will have to wait till this horror ends.

If you believed there were Nazis running Ukraine, you might be persuaded that your army was doing the right thing. Of course, the fact Zelensky is Jewish might cause one to think twice…..wonder how they explain that little fact away….. But because some Russians believe this doesn’t make them evil. And the younger ones and those in the larger cities seem to be getting access to some unfiltered information.

I'm a socialist who lives in a tiny country, Portugal, with a decent public education and health systems and free speech. We dealt with our own hands with a fascist regime from 1926 to 1974. We didn't need a foreign savior to decide what was better for us, to liberate us. If Ukraine's regime is fascist (a fundamental part of Putin's rhetoric), let Ukraine deal with it. If Ukraine doesn't want to be neutral, what gives Putin's Russia the right to decide this is wrong? Is Russia neutral? Putin's Russia started this war, not a special military operation, but a war. Ukraine mothers and fathers would also like to be preparing their houses for spring while watching their kids playing in their backgrounds. They aren't afraid of sanctions or economic recession (which will affect all of us); they are being forced to leave their country for their children to live. The images of Mariupol's maternity being attacked perfectly illustrate it, but probably you couldn't see them or are telling yourself they were staged. Will we wait for history to judge this? When there won't be a single Ukrainian live person in the former country known by Ukraine? Stay in peace.

I think that people should not position themselves as pro-Ukrainian, pro-Russian, but they should be people for people. What is so brave in saying "I don't want a war and I support Russia in this conflict..."? She is openly admitting support for Putin's decision to invade Ukraine. (While entering NATO doesn't put military on your border, I can see that it could, by agreement.) It sounds good to keep Ukraine as a buffer, neutral. I can understand this. As an example, I couldn't imagine America being ok with Canada aligning with China - right on their border. I'm sure America would be against that, as you are with NATO. So I understand your position. It's just that Ukraine is its own sovereign country. & They might choose themselves to align with whoever they choose. So if they choose to enter NATO, is there any way forward that protects Ukraine's right to choose, but also will bring a sense of peace to the Russian border? I am not an expert in foreign policy, I just know history well. Something is not right here. It's a very difficult situation and I don't think Putin really wanted to cross the border. Our relatives and friends live in Ukraine, we are one nation, so to speak. After the collapse of the USSR, we found ourselves on opposite sides of the border overnight. Alexandra I am from the US. Mothers in the US are with mothers in Ukraine and Russia. As you and I go about our days, homemaking and preparing for spring, let us 1) open our hearts to all those innocent that have been displaced from their homes and 2) let us lead in bridging the gap between the countries- our similarities far outweigh our differences. It won’t fix everything overnight, but it’s a start in dismantling false narratives. I live in the US and I live a slow life. Material possessions and social status do not motivate me. I’m in USA. I watched your channel for the first time today. You and your family are so young. Do you remember when Russia was USSR prior to 1991? I know you love your country as Ukrainians love theirs. A lot of Ukraines (30 yrs and younger) don’t remember their country any other way either. I pray all countries will stop and think before they invade any other sovereign nation. It’s really so sad. You are a very respectful young lady with amazing insight. Hello Alexandra. I was searching for something here and your video (this video) caught my eye, so I had to watch it. Gosh, there is so much I would love to say to you. I can see that you are a kind soul, and that while you may identify as a Russian, you like everyone else on this Little Rock spinning around the sun are much more than just that! You are a piece of humanities puzzle, and you’ve shown me in just this one video that you have something more to give, or that could be of more value, if you were to make that choice. There’s surprisingly a lot to digest here about what you had to say. Just as I think I could have a lot to say back, including asking many more questions and (hopefully) creating a dialogue with which we could both see eye to eye on! I too have come to many conclusions over many years of studying history, and watching the world in action all the same, and for at least the same amount of time. However, I do have a different viewpoint and opinion on many aspects of what makes the world go around... A conversation I would love to have as maybe like a pen pal type of thing, if perhaps you’d have the desire and opportunity (or ability) and of course the time. I’d like to get a better understanding of some of the points you made in this video, as they bring up questions to me that are a bit puzzling. Not in a negative way, but rather I’m curious more about what drives them? Well, I’m rambling here and it is late. I hope you and your family are well. The US set the stage by backing the coup and all NATO countries have been pouring weapons Into the Ukraine while providing military training to target Ukrainian citizens in the Donbas who wanted no part of a US backed regime in Kiev. Angela Merkel recently revealed that the Minsk accords were nothing but a ruse by the west to buy time to build up the Ukrainian military. I know Russia has been asking for the Minsk accords to be ratified many many times. I know that Russia has been asking for diplomacy before the invasion. I strongly condemn Russia for invading, yet there was no peace for the people of the Donbas that wanted no part of the US backed coup government. Sadly, so many people are dying and for what? First I want to thank you alexandra for posting this video. I never been in Russia, but I have very good Russian friends here in Toronto. I visited lviv last October, 2021, can’t say enough how wonderful and kind Ukrainian people are. Unfortunately Ukrainian people are keep electing bad presidents over and over again. In 2003 Ukrainian governments (army) helped US invade Iraq, Ukrainian army was responsible for killing innocent civilians in the Iraqi city of kut. In 2011 Ukrainian government helped Nato use Ukrainian city of Odessa to attack Libya. And from 2014 to 2017 over 14,000 Russian speaking people were killed by so called nationalist. This Ukrainian puppet government is trying to please the US interest above Ukrainian people interest. US is responsible for Russian special operation in Ukraine. Imagine that your family is living their life, doing your everyday things you love to do, the the next day your home is bombed. Your children are killed. Just because another leader of a neighboring country wants to run your country. Your husband goes off to fight and you don’t know if you will ever see him again. That is what is is like to be invaded. That is the way things are in Ukraine now. The Russians are not seeing the devastation, the deaths of babies on your media. Your media is not free. Ukraine is fighting back against the invaders because they do not want a pro-Putin puppet running their country. They elected their own president and want to live free like everyone else. I think most people are sorry that all of you - at least the people who are against shelling Ukrainian hospitals and schools, killing people in bread lines, and bombing civilian apartment buildings - are suffering too. At least, I have not heard one person here say anything about hating Russians in general. Just those Russians who are massacring the Ukrainian people.
Some day, as I said to someone else, you will get the whole story from your Ukrainian relatives who you trust. If they survive. (And I sincerely hope they do.). This isn’t something that propaganda-from any source -can cover for long. Listen to what they tell you if you think the stories you are hearing couldn’t be true. If we weren’t seeing the pictures, we wouldn’t believe it either. Not in 2022!

I'm a socialist who lives in a tiny country, Portugal, with a decent public education and health systems and free speech. We dealt with our own hands with a fascist regime from 1926 to 1974. We didn't need a foreign savior to decide what was better for us, to liberate us. If Ukraine's regime is fascist (a fundamental part of Putin's rhetoric), let Ukraine deal with it. Ukraine mothers and fathers would also like to be preparing their houses for spring while watching their kids playing in their backgrounds. They aren't afraid of sanctions or economic recession (which will affect all of us); they are being forced to leave their country for their children to live. The images of Mariupol's maternity being attacked perfectly illustrate it, but probably you couldn't see them or are telling yourself they were staged. Will we wait for history to judge this? I think that people should not position themselves as pro-Ukrainian, pro-Russian, but they should be people for people. Oh, I'm glad we speak the same language. Yes, of course it was necessary to solve these issues at the level of International meetings, but I'm afraid it's not that simple. I am not an expert in foreign policy, I just know history well. Something is not right here. It's a very difficult situation and I don't think Putin really wanted to cross the border. Our relatives and friends live in Ukraine, we are one nation, so to speak. After the collapse of the USSR, we found ourselves on opposite sides of the border overnight. Our soldiers are not fighting against civilians. Unfortunately, our media work very poorly and do not know how to show the world everything as it is. We lost the info-war and now half the world believes in a murderous president and the bombing of the maternity hospital😔 It's sad! Everyone thinks that we have totalitarianism.
But no one is talking about Donetsk and Lugansk, where 2,600 civilians were killed and 5,500 wounded in front of the Ukrainian authorities for 8 years. Propaganda is the second nuclear weapon.

It could have been an all out war, but no, it has dragged because everyone wants to reduce casualty hoping to find an agreement. Common folks cannot make decision for leaders. And every leader has an agenda good or bad. Never trust one sided media news. Read international news from multiple local sources, then make your own judgement. For me, I just want everyone to have food, shelter, family, my plants, my animals. The rest are all superficial. I do not have any religion, as Man uses religion to corrupt the mind of many, leading many astray. I believe, anyone with a good heart, lives with kindness and empathy deserves my respect.

Well I live in America and I know a lot of Russian don't want this war but yet unfortunately it keeps on going 😢.I do hope a peaceful solution can be found soon but even if it is the Ukraine has been devastated and will probably take many many years to recover . This is all so sad 😞
Alexandra I am from the US. Mothers in the US are with mothers in Ukraine and Russia. As you and I go about our days, homemaking and preparing for spring, let us 1) open our hearts to all those innocent that have been displaced from their homes and 2) let us lead in bridging the gap between the countries- our similarities far outweigh our differences. It won’t fix everything overnight, but it’s a start in dismantling false narratives. I live in the US and I live a slow life. Material possessions and social status do not motivate me. Most importantly I have a whole lot of love for my family. Blessings to you!
@@matiasman3696 when I say I am with mothers in Russia and Ukraine is because I can relate as a mother. But I am completely against perpetrating aggression on a sovereign country. The conflict in Ukraine has been going on for over 8 years and it didn’t start with Russian troops crossing the line.

Russian forces shot and killed 10 people standing for bread in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, Ukrainian officials said, confirming an earlier claim by the US embassy in Kyiv.
A statement issued by the office of Ukraine’s prosecutor general reads:
At 10:00 am (0800 GMT), servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces fired at people standing in line for bread near a grocery store. According to preliminary data, 10 civilians were killed.
Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the regional administration, said the attack was indicative of Russia’s use of indirect fire against civilians, CNN reported.
Speaking on Ukrainian television, Chaus said:
This is not the first such incoming shell [in the city], nor is it the first shelling of civilians by the enemy.
The Russians are shelling and destroying mostly civilian infrastructure in the city of Chernihiv and other cities in the region.

You can’t complain or watch certain media. Go and protest against Putin and see how fast you go to jail. There are shills in here and this whole video might be shill propaganda. Well, your soldiers are committing war crimes and that whether it’s your fault or not you will wear for many years. I’m in USA. I watched your channel for the first time today. You and your family are so young. Do you remember when Russia was USSR prior to 1991? I know you love your country as Ukrainians love theirs. A lot of Ukraines (30 yrs and younger) don’t remember their country any other way either. I pray all countries will stop and think before they invade any other sovereign nation. It’s really so sad. You are a very respectful young lady with amazing insight. Gosh, there is so much I would love to say to you. I can see that you are a kind soul, and that while you may identify as a Russian, you like everyone else on this Little Rock spinning around the sun are much more than just that! You are a piece of humanities puzzle, and you’ve shown me in just this one video that you have something more to give, or that could be of more value, if you were to make that choice.
There’s surprisingly a lot to digest here about what you had to say. Just as I think I could have a lot to say back, including asking many more questions and (hopefully) creating a dialogue with which we could both see eye to eye on! I too have come to many conclusions over many years of studying history, and watching the world in action all the same, and for at least the same amount of time. However, I do have a different viewpoint and opinion on many aspects of what makes the world go around...
A conversation I would love to have as maybe like a pen pal type of thing, if perhaps you’d have the desire and opportunity (or ability) and of course the time. I’d like to get a better understanding of some of the points you made in this video, as they bring up questions to me that are a bit puzzling. Not in a negative way, but rather I’m curious more about what drives them?

Hi Alexandra. Thank-you for sharing your life as an ordinary Russian with the world. I too want peace. I’m extremely upset that there has been a war raging inside of the Ukraine since 2014. The US set the stage by backing the coup and all NATO countries have been pouring weapons Into the Ukraine while providing military training to target Ukrainian citizens in the Donbas who wanted no part of a US backed regime in Kiev. Angela Merkel recently revealed that the Minsk accords were nothing but a ruse by the west to buy time to build up the Ukrainian military. I know Russia has been asking for the Minsk accords to be ratified many many times. I know that Russia has been asking for diplomacy before the invasion. I strongly condemn Russia for invading, yet there was no peace for the people of the Donbas that wanted no part of the US backed coup government. Sadly, so many people are dying and for what? The US say they are happy that Ukraine will fight Russia down to the last Ukrainian. This is madness. NATO needs to stop encroaching on Russia’s door.

First I want to thank you alexandra for posting this video. I never been in Russia, but I have very good Russian friends here in Toronto. I visited lviv last October, 2021, can’t say enough how wonderful and kind Ukrainian people are. Unfortunately Ukrainian people are keep electing bad presidents over and over again. In 2003 Ukrainian governments (army) helped US invade Iraq, Ukrainian army was responsible for killing innocent civilians in the Iraqi city of kut. In 2011 Ukrainian government helped Nato use Ukrainian city of Odessa to attack Libya. And from 2014 to 2017 over 14,000 Russian speaking people were killed by so called nationalist. This Ukrainian puppet government is trying to please the US interest above Ukrainian people interest. US is responsible for Russian special operation in Ukraine. God bless Russian and Ukrainian people.

Can you hear yourself and feel at least a little bit of shame? Ignorantly blaming NATO and Zelensky, just typical. Is NATO attacking Ukraine now? The Kremlin regime is waging a brutal war that causes destruction to the entire country and they don't care about the consequences one bit. There are strikes around the entire territory, every city that has seen fighting is turned into a wasteland. You can see for yourself there are many sources of info. Do you have any idea how many lives are ruined? Go explain to them how this is a fault of the west.
