There's absolutely no way i can convey the emotions I've felt when last part of List hit during our first playthrough with a friend. We've been scouting our next target island with an Albatross, and got caught up in a direct control dogfight with an enemy Manta. Being distracted by the fight, we overextended into the hostile territory, and realize that there are two enemy vessels approaching us quickly from the port, one of them being a gun boat and other, a full-blown torpedo frigate with AA rocket defences. We are being forced to steer right in order to avoid the torps, however, this also forces us closer to the enemy-controlled land. Our Albatross gets shot down by enemy AA rocket shortly after, and we didn't have much time to scan enemy units because of the dogfight. Torpedo hits our bow and takes out both CIWS turrets, then cruise missiles are launched from one of the enemy vessels far away behind the island, enemy Manta launches another torp which takes out both of our AA missile launchers. And then List plays. All of our weapons get disabled, Citadel sensors are destroyed, as we power down all systems except propulsion and repair and go full-forward towards our territory. Explosions rip our ship apart as enormous waves throw the carrier around and melancholic, tuba-like synth plays in the background. We escape into friendly waters with 2,66% of the hull integrity remaining, depleted half of our ammunition reserves and left with a single aircraft to spare. The battle was lost, but the war is not over.
Recently picked up this game and I LOVE IT. Definitely one of the best games ever created, and OST is too. It perfectly catches the original 80s atmosphere. Not Halo-esque Sci-Fi, but semi-modern vehicle designs is also spot on. This is what I needed. I see some people complains about game's mechanics, unforgivenness and "slowness", but that IS what this game makes great and distinct. Not every games should become COD or FORTNITE or some high-speed-brainless-click-fest game (although I also like some of these games for a break). I really hope game developers continue to create games like this.
If this game going to have sequels, I really hope it keeps this 80s original atmosphere and near-future designs for units. Not like Halo-ish Scifi like "Gaia Mission"...
I really just love how 15:40 starts with its imposing horns, the corresponding name of the track, "Night Manoeuvres", really helps sell the "sailing the hostile seas at night, with the help of sonar" feeling for me
Chris Randle and Jon Daou, this is a goddamn masterpiece of a soundtrack, and whoever directed the video deserves credit for the absolutely perfect passive display of gameplay. This could have been a screenshot with the soundtrack behind it, and it could have been footage of overglorified gameplay, but the way the camera pans through background action while the soundtrack progresses... Impactful, yet subtle (until the entire screen lights up, helping showcase the actual scale of gameplay). A+, this is a standout soundtrack video, but is an absolute A+ soundtrack by Chris Randle and Jon Daou. Bravo gentlemen, I haven't been this moved by a game soundtrack in quite some time!
stormworks is the absolute best game ever made it's so underrated but so much better than Fortnite and rocket league and Minecraft and Roblox and everything! stormworks is incredible awesome work! and it's so awesome that you are keeping up with carrier command 2 also! my personal favorite one is the main menu theme.
The music is good but the way the "Dynamic Music" works in game is really annoying. Whoever is playing the tracks Knows Too Much, so that eventually you will react to hearing the music change, which can either tell you that an enemy was spotted, or that a torpedo a million miles away locked onto something. Once you notice how clairvoyant the music is you can't un-notice it. Also it has a bad habit of toggling back and forth between the boss music as it goes in and out of view at longer ranges.
Can you please PLEASE split this up into separate videos for each piece? I want this music on my playlist but don't want it all clumped into one big 25 minute chunk.
Do the destroyers and jets spawn in by them self's with the ai air force he lies or u need to activate them in setting for conquest bc idk how to activate conquest mode can you help me?
Night Manouvres is absolutely incredible. The combat at night is fantastic
Bruh, *every music in this game is awesome!*

Just like in the game.
The enemy feels so close, and yet, it's often kilometers away from you.
The firefights going on the background really sells it

I'm in love with this game!
We need the next major update!!!!! Did anyone notice it stated on last update "Until the best update..." What is the best update, I need it lol
Truly gifted musicians.
still play, still listen. Shoutout to that guy who bought yall pizza, you genuinely deserved it.
All are great but List has become my new favorite.
the main theme is my favorite.
For me, any of these songs could've fit right in as action songs amid the synthy blues of the original Blade Runner.
Just Another Missle and most of the others fit beautifully into TRON Legacy visuals too.

I bought the game after listening the soundtrack...
Truly bangers!

Great soundtrack! Reminds me of the Tron Legacy soundtrack by DaftPunk.

those organ parts in Night Manoeuvres reminds me of Hans Zimmer's music from Interstellar, i think that's why the game is awesome
Nice, but, Imho, 'Just another mission' from CC1 is better.
why don't you make soundtracks for stormworks, because they are few and boring
Bro they can add new for space dlc
Maneuvers is how it’s pronounced but I understand they are a hardworking dev group. Music always amazes me in their games.
