Facebook: / ellisthemechanic06 Twitter: / mateoski06 Crysis 2 Main Theme that I've extended. Original production from Hans Zimmer (a badass composer) Hope you like it.
Me too. But I'm still baffled why they picked HANS ZIMMER for the weakest game in the series. I wouldn't be so harsh on the game if Crysis 1 and 3 weren't so god damn amazing. Still I love the series.
No worries, another developer will hopefully buy the Crysis series. I mean look at Crash Bandicoot. Ok granted, Naughty Dog is not dead, but they sold the rights to other developers. Now Vicarious Visions owns them and they're N Sane Trilogy was successful
@Kobra Thor I never played Mass Effect nor Command & Conquer, so I can't say much about them. Need For Speed is not terrible, but it's not my cup of tea; if I need to drive fast cars, I'll pop in GTA 5 (yes I know it's not a racing game but it does have nice cars though). The best optimism I can give you is that I hope the Crysis IP gets a remaster in the next gen of gaming; hopefully it's a remaster from the ground up and not some copy and paste port the PS3/Xbox 360 ports to their respective online store, like what they did with Destroy All Humans. Which is another underrated franchise that either needs a new sequel or a legit remaster, why do you think my youtube account name is Crypto? Because I'm a big fan of the series. So yeah, Crysis and DAH need to comeback from obscurity

SoftAsABaboonAss So does Bloodborne, and The Witcher 3. Edit: Not saying anything to contradict your comment i just wanted to list 2 other games with great soundtracks.
I just loved it when I would be sneaking up behind an enemy and have the suit growl at me to "find Nathan ghould" I would like to think they heard it but chose not to turn around.
TyrannWright Yeah, well, I had Crysis 2 just last year, and couldn't beat it 100% because of the Dedication achievement... Seriously, fuck you EA. Learn to make a game right, or do what Valve does and sell other people's games.
I remember listening to this in 2011 when I was in highschool thinking it was an amazing soundtrack. Here I am 10 years later just stumbling across this game again and knew I had to find this track. What an amazing piece of music.
So glad to see you here AcidGlow, I greatly enjoy your videos, especially those about the Alien, Predator and Doom franchise. Never stop uploading, Cheers!!
I have not played Crysis 2 yet, but I already feel an emotion from this theme alone. Desperation. Survival. A struggle of great proportion. Fear. Is this not conveyed through this theme alone? It is. Edit: I’ve played Crysis 2, and my statement still stands.
Yeah really desperately struggling to survive fearing for your life in a mark 2 nanosuit. This isn't dark souls 3 where you're afraid to even open a chest because it might eat you alive. You're a badass who can fucking tear off a fucking massive fucking minigun from it's fucking post and use it to fucking competely fucking obliterate a fucking squad of elite fucking soldiers or fucking aliens. Sure humanity might be in shock and terror and on the brink of collapse but that's because humanity doesn't have super strength and speed, 0.08 millisecond reaction time, radiation and physical resistance, regeneration, ability to turn invisible and other superhuman abilities like you do. Ahh!!! Hanz Zimmer one of the best composers ever to exist on this earth. The music he creates is so powerful with makes it so iconic that he or his music can never be replaced. I will always love this kind of music from Zimmer and Zimmer ONLY!!!
This music gives you the epic feeling of being trapped inside a world wide crysis with just a glimps of hope to surpass the unimaginable odds against your chance to make a difference...
Crysis 2 was such a phenomenal game, it was the game that put Crysis on the map. Crysis 3 deflated everything and never could capitalize on what made Crysis 2 soo great.
Pretty sure Crysis 1 put Crysis on the map, due to Far Cry's success and Crysis 1's scale. Crysis 2 was not as popular and had many criticisms due to its graphics being severely handicapped to make console versions look about the same in comparison. Crysis 3 did alright. It was really the sheer size of the map(felt like a sandbox really due to open solutions to missions) of Crysis 1 that got most people wet. Don't get me wrong Crysis 2 is fun, and I am replaying it right now (something which is rare for me) but it is REALLY linear, AI is about as garbage as before and the game is so easy when you just spam maximum armor even in higher difficulties. Hell ceph and cell alike just keep shooting through terrain and it's pretty funny xD. In my opinion if they could recreate the scale of Crysis 1 in a possible future SP Crysis game (Crysis 4 plans are underway but Crytek said likely will be a F2P business game) that would probably keep me occupied for a while.
can you source cause i thought crytek ended the story with crysis 3, plus i remember websites saying the crysis 3 did pretty bad and how crytek dont have much money.
@@Sam-K No. That was Prophet's last words before he committed suicide after handing the Mark 2 Nanosuit to Alcatraz (the main character you play as in Crysis 2) due to Phrophet's case of the cell infection.
This soundtrack is the perfect embodiment of the suit and story. You can hear the overwhelming powers of the suit, that its the road to victory, but the darker tone suggests that there is a cost. Especially in Alcatraz his case. He loses his personality, maybe even his humanity. Together with the suit and Barnes they become humanity last hope.
I agree. But Halo 2 Soundtrack is a very very close second, in my opinion. And by the way this is my neighbours Favourites track They keep banging On the wall to turn it up......

Man... playing this game was one of the greatest experiences I had in my still short life. History, gameplay, characters, the awesome cutscenes and that marvelous music following the final scene. And there are people who claims video game isn't art.
perfect music describing our situation in the world at the moment. Holding hands, praying what will happen next, knowing that you as an individual can only watch while some people play Gods.
00:11 When I first played Crisis 2 (I was somewhere in grade 3-4 then), this sound was associated with something ghoulish, creeping, growing. And the cephs themselves seemed creepy. I was deeply impressed by their slippery bodies in metal exoskeletons, optics arrays and futuristic weapons. Last year I went through the entire trilogy. Now I laugh at myself that I feared of mobs in a game, but still admire the great soundtrack.
Playing the remastered version of Crysis 2 11 years after I played the original game. Unlike the last time around, I'm glad my current PC is able to max it out (with ray-tracing) and run it at a silk-smooth 60 FPS. Boy if it isn't bliss... What a game! Hans Zimmer's contribution in the game's soundtrack helps to make this game iconic, memorable, and simply great. The remastered version doesn't even feel like an "old game". After all, this is Crysis we are talking about.
Crysis is that game that have a good story, fcking amazing gameplay and gives you a good feeling like, you are the guy who play god.you can be stealthy with invisibility stronger with armor and faster.like that game hope crysis 4 is incoming.
+YO Stoopid Crysis 4 wouldn't have a story really with all the aliens defeated, it'd have to resort to something such as humanity abusing the technology of the Cephs or something. It'd be too similar to every other Crysis, and just wouldn't be as interesting as the only nano suit equipped soldier left is Prophet. And I doubt he'd suddenly decide to return to the front line, seeing as he has no one left really.
+Fake Name prophet isnt the only one left.lol. We have other 2. Guess who? From the beggining of the series, it is that guy who you have to press a button once/twice/etc to enter the suit modes. Nomad is still operational. Yes, he took a missile to the chest. And he, didnt blow up to pieces. Even though his Nanosuit is the first gen, unlike Prophet's which is 2nd, it is still strong. Nomad's suit kept him alive, barely alive. And he is being hunted. If you collected the files randomly placed in Crysis 3, you'll see a file that says someone is trying to hunt Nomad and he, has found him.Although the location isnt specified, it completely says Nomad is still operational. And I'm interested on exactly was Nomad doing during the 23 years we were playing as Prophet(2 years after C1 is C2, 21 years after C2 is C3. So 23 yrs.)Silverback is the codename of the one hunting Nomad.I heard his grandson(?) (or someone closely related to him) died while testing the nanosuit before C1.So yeah,we have 3.
0:16 Doom 2016 shows that campaign fps are still solid 0:40 Doom Eternal is one of the greatest shooters 1:17 Halo Infinite revives the Halo franchise 2:04 Crysis 4 4:07 its 8k 120fps😫
Its been 6 yrs...if all the gamers forgot this game... remember theres always one guy who will remember this song and ryt now its me but after i pass there will still be someone out there who will discover this but this song will never die remember that
You know... he is a great guy, he made a lot of good things, but to call him that? It's too much in my opinion, because you know... no matter what - God isn't Hans Zimmer...
This is the first crysis game I've played and it was fantastic, funny how I got scared or weirded out every time the nano suit said "cloak engaged" or "maximum armour". But when the suit started talking to me in cutscenes like a character that kinda got rid of the power behind the robot voice.
Crysis 2 is the best FPS imo :) I like it, i don't know why but it has that... something... :P Crysis 3 was good, so was 1, other FPS games are also okay, i like CoD MW2, Battlefield BC2 and the original BF2, i like CSGO, Team Fortress 2 but i always come back to Crysis 2 ^^
God, I love Crysis 2 so much. I loved sitting down in my Poppop’s basement on my Xbox 360, drinking Pepsi and playing Crysis 2 nonstop for hours on end. I will never forget it, and I thank Crysis 2 for those memories.
Sami Sallahi"A man shouts "Free Palestine" during a march demanding an end to the escalating Israeli-Palestinian hostilities in that region, in Manhattan, New York. His poster's slogan 'from the River to the Sea' poster implies the destruction of the State of Israel." I hope that you know what that meant. And I hope you're not a 12 year old trying to piss me off.
Many people felt that Crysis 2 as a step back from Crysis 1 but i honestly i feel that it's the best Crysis. Gameplay aside, there's one thing that Crysis 2 do outstandingly well, it's very consistent with its tones and themes and also game mechanics . Fighting the powerful cephs demanded you to use your superpowered suit efectivelly and this really maked you feel like "humanity saviour" , a theme that is even more stronger with the decay of the military power, the overwhelming situation of a unexpected alien invasion and the relationship of the suit with the Ceph. While not a masterpiece it's a really good game !
This music is so calming that everything in the story line in this game (if i remember it could be crysis 3 too) coming to reality. 2020, virus, new york, ww3 about to erupt, and the title of the game says it all... crisis (spelling)... who could have thought we would be witnessing the actions in the game in real life at this precise timing and the game is around a decade? old (lazy to google the release date). And above all this? the character is named Prophet! how chillin'
I never played crysis 2 or any of them, yet this theme makes me want to play it so much. I hope one day they make a HD Remastered Version for Xbox One, I hope to play this awesome looking game one day 😆
Ten years later and this soundtrack still gives me chills.
Same.
Same.
Same...
Honestly they should’ve used this soundtrack in “The Boys.” TV show, it suits Black Noir.
Me too. But I'm still baffled why they picked HANS ZIMMER for the weakest game in the series.
I wouldn't be so harsh on the game if Crysis 1 and 3 weren't so god damn amazing. Still I love the series.
I can have Maximum Power, Strength even Cloak. But never Maximum Graphics...
I miss the days where instead of asking "can my GPU handle this game?" it was "Can it play Crysis on min graphic settings?"
Even with a 1070 Crysis 1 still stutters a bit sometimes. Honestly CryEngine never was that well optimized.
They should've called the Ultra Preset - Maximum Preset, and whenever you select it you get a nice little sound effect that says: Maximum Graphics!
UCanBeMyBigBoss Good idea
This game is also called: Graphic Card Crysis.

I have not played Crysis 2 yet, but I already feel an emotion from this theme alone. Desperation. Survival. A struggle of great proportion. Fear. Is this not conveyed through this theme alone? It is. Edit: I’ve played Crysis 2, and my statement still stands.
True. Music can speak a million words in like seconds sometimes
This game is pure hormones and violence. It's far from survival horror.
the master baiter What I meant went over your head. I meant that the music represents how desperate the game's atmosphere is. Not the difficulty.
Nine Tailed Fox - Sergent RedWood but there is none of that in the feel or the difficulty.
...Think of it like this. You may not be desperate, but you sure as hell know that everyone else and their mother is struggling. Even though you're not struggling, the atmosphere surrounding you is desperate and in ruin.

Crysis 2 has the best combination: music + gameplay + story
and graphics
music score was genius, game was let down by a serious lack of ambition and console influenced limitations
I like Crysis 1 for the most open world and graphics, Crysis 2 for story and graphics, and Crysis 3 for Multiplayer and of course graphics :D
Well i agree that crysis 2 was a wonderfull game. However, story wasnt that good, in fact it was ordinary. But it wasnt boring tho
yeah like a movie
This music always gives me goosebumps.

Crysis 3 theme sux ass.. Crysis 2 theme is godly.. but both C2 and C3 is awesome.
Not sure what you mean by "godly", but you can have whatever opinion you want. Here's mine.
godly means something pure, awesome and divine :D
Okay, just clarifying. I like both themes, but Crysis two is the winner. Though I'm not really sure which game I like more.

Crisis 2 has predicted 2020 in the beginning
crysis 2 is my fav fps game and I'm not ashamed to say that
I'm here to get ready for crysis 4

These good old days
litterally listening to this masterpiece during online lessons
Gotta love Hans Zimmer productions. My main inspiration.
hanz Zimmer is the best in making soundtracks
A7 Riku 28 and so is Michael Salvotri and Martin O Donell
Kartikeya Kumbha yes! I love Marty and Michael
Could not agree more
For me he is god tier with marty o donell and mick gordon
Did that dude also make the theme for Far cry or no??
And also Frank klepacki
Just opening the pause menu was a expierience in on itself, with the theme completely escalating everytime
Nostalgia hit me hard here😭😭. Being an adult sucks😢.
hands down best video game sound track EVER
Its been 6 yrs...if all the gamers forgot this game... remember theres always one guy who will remember this song and ryt now its me but after i pass there will still be someone out there who will discover this but this song will never die remember that
Время покажет брат.
4th title is coming! This theme kicks different now!
i love this ! Crysis 2 isn exist without this music :)
Maximum nostalgia.
Check my new soundtrack Crysis - Adamant :)
Hans Zimmer is a God!!!
So let us bow down before him!!
+Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας Kneel befor Zo...I mean Zimmer
Επιτελους ελληνας xD
You know... he is a great guy, he made a lot of good things, but to call him that? It's too much in my opinion, because you know... no matter what - God isn't Hans Zimmer...
+George Zoubou Παντού 😜
Its 2024 and it's STILL one of the best menu themes ever.
One of the most epic soundtracks ever
why do games have better ost/theme than most hollywood movies?
who is back here after crysis 4 announcement ?????????
The trailer has more pixels than the entire crysis 1 game
Thank u hans zimmer.......listening with a headset and anyone will get mesmerised! !
This is the first crysis game I've played and it was fantastic, funny how I got scared or weirded out every time the nano suit said "cloak engaged" or "maximum armour". But when the suit started talking to me in cutscenes like a character that kinda got rid of the power behind the robot voice.
Listening to this it still gives me the chills
Check my new soundtrack Crysis - Adamant :)
cod MW 2 and crysis 2...hans zimmer is a god to make best themes and music for all times!!!
this song is literally stuck to my head mann
This song is really uplifting.
Very helpful when shit is going down hard in my life.
Great game btw.
I want Crysis 4.
Covid 19 maximum
Zimmer is a gift to us.
When the beat drops masterpiece
This song just perfectly conveys that apocalypse. I can't describe it...
It's my second favorite
+KazeRV the best game in its genre
+KazeRV Half Life 2 is still the best FPS out there. But i think this game makes 6th place.
+Black adder Counter Strike GO if you want to look at the facts :P
Loved Crysis 2! Mechanics and physics were just so damn incredible. Only other fps with this good physics is Destiny.
Prophet sacrificed himself,
ME- sacrificed my computer's CPU, Ram , AMD graphics so that prophet is alive in my computer.....lol
The badass beginning, ready for the action
What kind of sorcery is this I listened to this once and now even if I am not listening my mind is playing this on a repeat.
Best Theme ever,, wrecked 20hrs at once but it was worth it
Anyone else enjoying this song after the announcement of Crysis 4?
It do be epic tho
Just noticed it, I'm so fcking happy rn
God, I love Crysis 2 so much. I loved sitting down in my Poppop’s basement on my Xbox 360, drinking Pepsi and playing Crysis 2 nonstop for hours on end. I will never forget it, and I thank Crysis 2 for those memories.
this piece of art combined with the gameplay and story elements is beyond legendary.
I remember when I found out this series was "Temporarily" dead.
I had to cry myself to sleep. My favorite franchise.
free palestine
Sami Sallahi"A man shouts "Free Palestine" during a march demanding an end to the escalating Israeli-Palestinian hostilities in that region, in Manhattan, New York. His poster's slogan 'from the River to the Sea' poster implies the destruction of the State of Israel."
I hope that you know what that meant. And I hope you're not a 12 year old trying to piss me off.
+stan kodyra Oi Vey.
stan kodyra im not that man youre talking about but free palestine! I Kinda mean it
Sami Sallahi
I don't understand what you just wrote.
Amo este soundtrack, que buenos tiempos cuando salio Crysis 2
Music composition is so fucking important for games like these to enforce tones like sadness or anger
Hans Zimmer- God of musics.
Crysis 1=2020
Crysis 2=2023
Crysis 3=2047
UH OH
@@trooler1758 uh oh indeed lol, but 3 is far it will give us a break
@@Dr_Dude when the third game starts the world has already gone to hell

Пацаны с Нью-Йорка держитесь мы с вами!!!
I never played crysis 2 or any of them, yet this theme makes me want to play it so much. I hope one day they make a HD Remastered Version for Xbox One, I hope to play this awesome looking game one day 😆
they don't need to remaster it
If you had PS3, you would get a Blu-Ray version of it.
Buy the Xbox Series X when it comes out then just pop the bad boy into the console and you'll be set.
It took 4 years, but they finally did it.
When ever Hans Zimmer puts his fingers on the keyboard you cannot escape. You will listen and remember.
