I honestly think 12 v 12 is fine. The issue I’m having lately is when there’s 2 CVS, 2 subs and 3 dds on each team. If you’re a BB or CA it’s almost pointless because half the game’s participants are invisible most of the game and you’re just being hunted. Not enough surface combatants hurts the experience on a match to match basis
As a Legends player, I think our 9v9 allows for much more aggressive/fun gameplay since there just aren't so many guns & crossfires, but at the end of the day still retains the basic principles of WoWs.
Heyo PQ, just want to say I have been enjoying the content lately, you are being more active then other CCs and its nice to see all the different ship plays. also I think the 20kms are still really good, its like Yoshino torps, you kind of just throw them where the team will be and it causes chaos.
We have 9v9 games as standard on Console, with only 1 CV per game maximum (i know, luxury lmao) The games are pretty fun as they are, though the damage numbers per game are lower because of it, obviously, and hunting for the last DD can get frustrating if the enemy know what they're doing, but overall they're a bit more relaxing because of this :)
Last time I did the harugamo regrind a gun build yamagiri absolutely played me like a fiddle. It was my fault for falling for it but they just kept taking small engagements where I couldn't get the damage on them as fast as they could shoot a few times then burst and take cover. That burst hits hard.
@@treeherder42 I met Yama in my Neustrashimy...she ends up dead and I survive :-) She was quite aggresive thougt that will outspot everything :-) So its tier 9 against supership...but if you play smart and don't get torped you will outplay it easy. She was using burst and such stuff...but I just healed and spot her again and again. Neustrashimy with RPF is pretty good against this ship.
@@vitezslavlorenc3479 I was in kita and absolutely should have won, was just saying that the yama played very smart and used the burst fire to win by only showing up as they went into cover. But the burst hits so hard that it only took a few rounds of this before my hp was down low enough that they had won.
I’ve had a Dalarna since early access. I play it as a torpedo or compromise leaning to torp build. The guns are weaker than you would think. It is basically a Halland + 15%. In my few hundred games, I’ve found it is definitely nowhere near an even match for a Smaland.
I would say it was the fact of no CV or sub... YOU were in the Toxic ship of the match, all things considered, which is why the match was fun, and brought back the feel of the game 4 years ago w/ surface ship strat being important. playing "just dodge" cv's, or "WTF was he" subs really kills that play. 12v12 or 9v9 w/ no cv or sub is completely different game than if either or both are there. happy sailing o7
I didn't do so well on the day the Yamagiri came out. I got it, played a game or two. The economy of it killed my credits, especially when I didn't do well in it. I sold it immediately. I started to play lower tiers again instead of 8-10. I guess I need to practice the game more even though I have been playing off and on for years. Such is life.
i don't mind the small games, but i do wish they would give a percentage bump to your XP and credits due to the loss of potential HP to farm in the match. it can feel like a waste of econ boosters if you use the big ones and don't have the same XP and credit earning you may have had in a full team game.
Less ships is always preferable, just because maps are so small and u get focus fired from everywhere. If the maps were bigger or more islands, 12v12 would be more fun. Even though the maps are smaller, prefer ranked and Brawls to random, usually (the 5v5 cruisers a week ago was a kick). However (and it could be just luck of the draw), it seems like I've had closer battles in Standard random battles than in Domination mode.
With less players, the impact of individual players is larger. Which is great for good players, but sucks for bad players, because there's less potential players there to step in and carry their potato.
Niiice video! Again! I guess the Småland had smoke and radar ready for the Dalarna? Oh, what was the name of the pack with the scoretimer? (the other than Modstation ;) Thanks! :)
Too bad we cant choose 8km+12km range torps in the port (only 8+20km or 12+20km). I would love to be able to switch between those 2 instead of that hving that useless 20km torps.
The guns on Shima hit hard, but the rotation and fire rate is slow. I tend to use my Shima's guns as much as I can because people don't expect it and it's dmg while torps are on cooldown. I pick my battles, but I enjoy taking on other Shimas on and watching them do nothing while they focus on their torp aiming. lol
Oddly...I still prefer my shimma 😋 Yamagiri IS amazing!...but it costs so much to run and MM is usually rather brutal for it, hence I prefer the Shima ...but its certainly one hell of a good DD...left unchecked, it will stealthily & casually murder your team one by one! Kia Kaha PQ
While maps are smaller legends is 9v9 and with only 15 minutes mean’s you get into fights fast and just to me it’s more fun since no one has more then 21km of range so even if they wanted to snipe it’s not that far
I play and run a youtube channel on the Mobile Version of WOws. It's 7v7 and really lacks many of the faults and annoyances of WoWsPC. Sure its a mobile game and the graphics are lacking ,but the gameplay is much more arcady and down to earth. You should give it a try with an Emulator to play mobile games on PC >D
I cant agree more mate, it should be 9v9 or 10v10. 10v10 would be better; 3 per cap plus 1 to a random cap, NOT mirrored. Smaller games, more tactics, and tiers can actually feel strong. Tier 9 is pitiful right now against SS. 10V10 you can have tier 11&10 only. And bring back some balance to poor tier 9's and 7's
maybe the smaller teams are result of people finally waking up to the fact that the game isn't going to improve without drastic changes and are departing from the dumpster fire.
Your video, although great of course, is very misleading. Gives false hope that something has changed with this game. But it is not 9v9, 6v6 nor 3v3 - it is just NO CARRIERS NO SUBS. And even with such a lucky situation you can be caught by another WeeGee invention, stealth "from sikrit soviet archivez" radar. Not too mention that greedy WeeGees introduced Tier 11, so poor T9 Iowa or even Izumo suddenly became a cannon fodder. With a CV or sub smaller teams mean just being hunted alone from the start - not fun at all.

Ironically closer to reality in a fleet makeup but nowhere near as fun for all big guns in a game.
@@facenoise465 not closer actually. Fantasy kiddie fleet.
I like the smaller teams too. One of the reasons I play so much Ranked, despite the sometimes toxic players.
No matter how toxic the players, matchmaker is worse.
that's not a chung mu. more like Chad Mu

Great game. People need to learn that winning is more important than getting a little bit more damage and risk losing.
Specced the Yamagiri full guns the moment I unlocked it. If you're not completely regarded this ship can deal with a lot of dedicated gun DDs.

Hey can you make a unique commander ranking tier list?

Love these type of games.
That was a smartly played game with you and the Smalland player. And one question does all the Super Ships DDs have burst fire??
nope, not all of them
dalarna and kunming do not
Score timer was in ModStation, but they can't seem to keep it updated and it's grayed out right now unfortunately. Great Video!
Works fine in Aslain's.
I had a hard time choosing between the Humphrey’s and the Yamigiri. I chose the Humphrey’s but should’ve gone with the Yamigiri. Thanks PQ! o7 to you!
Oh, nice!
So a bit like HSF Harekaze in a way? Good sort of hybrid dd with great stealth to even the playing field with better-dpm gunboats.
While you could in theory take a 1v1 vs a gunboat, you shouldn't, improved means very little as improving horrible dpm doesnt make it wonderful.
Would love to see significantly larger maps and larger matches.
Yamagiri concealment makes gunboat build very strong even without extra high dpm.

I rarely play above T8 for this reason. It's like WG wants to punish you for playing higher teirs.
I always take gun fights in Shimakaze. Shima does not need HP; others do. So trading HP is a good deal.
smaller teams is fun but it offsets the power a lot; Destroyers and low detection ships become more powerfull, not even saying anything about CV's.
I wish they'll give more destroyers the choice of switching between different types of torpedoes. Maybe a line with that gimmick.
There were only 13 Hurricane clans in Season 20, and -BN- was one of 'em. PublicAgent69 Sure had some N I C E gameplay.
9v9 is standard in legends it works fairly well but range is reduced
Never seen an yamagiru using its capacity until this vid. Wish ppl are as good as you :)
I don’t even play ranked to play ranked, I play because I like the fewer ship experience

Sorry if you’ve already covered this, but do you have a list of the mods you use/recommend?
He has. It's one of his earlier videos however
This is kind of game we usually get in World of Warships: Legends.
Thank you so much!!!

Småland has no smoke :-)
The other mod pack is Aslain's.

More Superships….nice.
how would you look for 9v9 games?
Smaller games yes! Bigger maps HELL NO!
I honestly like smaller games because they are more fun, but for grinding I prefer bigger games
I am a big fan of the smaller teams - 12 v 12 is terrible for light cruisers and DD’s - especially if the match has CV’s and/or subs.
2nd attempt

Hello, play the Druid DD.😁
9v9 games are GREAT with no CV. But with a cv... oh god...

Smaland v Dalarna is not an even fight. The duel you saw where Smaland dominates Dalarna is typical.
