I have up all he time problem with my 1997 Buick Riviera. The former shocks were leaking and I found the correct OEM still new on the web and my mechanic installed them. About 2 months later I had a running problem with the car and it turned out it blew out one of the spark plugs. The spark plugs were all replaced by the mechanic and about 2 weeks later the car started to ride hard like a buck board. The mechanic did not have experience with this problem and a week later I tried another shop. They at first thought it was the height sensor,m but that is not available anymore, then later they found that the relay for the system was burnt, and replaced it and told me the car was fine now. The 1.5 mile drive home was good and later my neighbor asked to barrow one of my cars, and we took a drive in this Buick and he drove it some and loaned it the next day. Two days later I drove it to work. about 22.5 miles either way and it was stiff but tolerable, drove it the next day and on the way home is was no longer tolerable. I am thinking maybe they put the relay in the wrong way since this one has not indication on the fuse box which way is correct. The horn relay is also the same type, and if that is wrong the horn will blow all the time. Anyhow it would be great to know of a shop that could either retrofit a modern system, or fix this one, or if I had a clue where the items are on this model. The air pump appeared to be under the rear of the car, but where is the the computer that controls it??? If it is the up and down sensor that must really be only two switches connected to a arm, that should not be difficult to retrofit and then cover to be water proof. As of today I removed that relay in hopes the air will come out of it. But that is under the rear seat,

Part edited out: "...and if you're extremely lucky, the entire vehicle might last 100,000 miles before some kind of mechanical failure that costs more to fix than the depreciated value of the car."

Idk what your talking about but every Buick I have seen that was made before 1998 has had at least 180k miles before something major happened to it if anything even happened then
