Aggy V NPT quickly became one of my favourite match ups, so been looking forward to see it on the official Bingo Brawler Season!

The more I watch actual Bingo Brawler matches the more I realise that chaining squares and good pathing is king. Aggy going for cracked pots so early while being out of the way was a risk. No real weapon checks and some poor luck with his boss fights. NPT had some good early game squares and pathing that lead into him having more early map access and he managed to find a good weapon at the end to clean up a lot of the other boss squares without really needing Atlus much. This entire board was early game for a majority win basically. Feel like the shotgun approach works best here and going out of your way to set things up just gives your opponent more time to gain ground on that majority. Most of the Bingo's where easy to block or fairly hard late game squares to finish so it makes sense to get as much done as fast as you can.

Learning and regularly checking the Lucerne spot for the dragon halberd is a metaplay for the season, not learning the spot is a mild throw. (rushing Tree sentinels to get the halberd check is also a good weapon check if desperate) GGs and GL to aggy for the next one
With starter classes like this match had, not checking all early game weapon checks is a throw. NPT got lucky with Vykes but Aggy had nothing for the longest time when he could of checked more spots.
Long season, this one was a tough one with some unlucky breaks in terms of seed and squares. Good to experience earlier than later!

@31 minutes, I know Aggy was deep into thought/strategy, but he should've killed Nepheli for the stormhawk axe check. He might've even got his beloved icerind.
I don't think he could've, given that icerind was in the starting class options. The only decent axe would have been Rosus Axe, and even that is only ok.
@SheffiTB I definitely could be wrong, but in base game you can get two uchi-katanas if you start with samurai. And if you do Nepheli's quest just right you can get 2 stormhawks before new game +. I'm not %100 how this randomizer works, but I'd still try it.
When Lansseax makes the claw attack in front of you, you have to roll towards the dragon and not away from it, then the lightning won't hit you

Wow, Aggy, great game. It's really tough getting such a random hand at the beginning of the game. Leaves so many things just up to chance.

Heyo, just a thought.
Might want to pad out the end of all of these VODs (with a black screen or just some looping gif or something) to at least two hours.
After seeing the board at around the 40 minute mark, it was pretty easy to figure out who won based on the length of the video.
I enjoy watching the videos for the strategy, so it wasn't too big of a deal for me, but yeah.
Takes a bit of the hype out when I know who's going to win.

I mean at a certain point you could call the winner. NPT has 10 to Aggy's 5 and NPT had a lead on three other squares already while aggy had to stop the bingo. Almost impossible to win from that position unless you knew exactly what the other person was doing and could do it faster. Can't block while also claiming the other squares in time.
I've personally installed a browser extension "Hide video duration" and while it stills shows the duration in the bottom right corner of thumbnails, when you're actually watching the video it doesn't show it and that way I can remain unspoiled

Didn’t know NPT until o started watching these bingo games recently, that dude is cracked. I don’t know if there will be a rematch but that will be interesting.
Fortunately you slammed your game last week, a 1-1 record isn’t difficult to craw back from, especially when that loss is against someone so cracked. Bad games do happen, and the silver lining is getting to learn from your losses. Can’t wait to see how the rest of the season shakes out.
Also chat backseating never ceases to irritate me.

Why do so many people think that Lansseax is the Ancient Dragons you encounter in Farum Azula? Those are just unnamed Ancient Dragons. I'm pretty sure Fortisax would look the same as his sister if it wasn't for the Deathblight. That is just how Ancient Dragons look.
I think people are saying "you fight Lansseax like 6 times" because you fight enemies that look/act exactly like her several times. I don't think they're saying that they're literally all the same character in the lore. Same as saying that there's 2 Godrick fights (because of Godefroy) or referring to the Bell Bearing Hunters as Elemer clones.

I'm all for the weapon randomiser but the difference is all of the default classes are actually usable
I do think greatshields should be removed from the choices unless they add a square in that says to kill a remembrance boss with a greatshield or something.
does anyone know how to setup the randomizer the way they have it setup in these?

aggy i hope you read this i dunno how you always end up with a shitty weapon for these brawls but i think you would improve a lot if using the right weapons and its not like its just this brawl its like every brawl

I get the idea behind the weapon rando, but I don't like the change. Makes it feel like matches are far more up to RNG than anything player skill or knowledge based.
Thing is it really isn't, players know where certain weapon types spawn and shops to check. If they fail to route those into their game for the chance of a weapon upgrade then that's their problem. Each player has the exact same chance of getting a weapon as the other, it's RNG but in terms of fairness it's 100% equal.
If they played on different randomised seeds then it's unfair but each player has the same world so with the right pathing you can get yourself a decent weapon. It's when a boss drops a good weapon and it claims a square that forces the other player to then maybe not kill that boss and miss out. Only time when RNG can be pushed in ones favour.
@@burns0100 Knowing where weapon checks are is important and it's definitely a knowledge gap here since Aggy seems to not really think about it at all in his routing, but there's still a good deal of RNG involved. If 9/10 checks have garbage and one of them is good then both players can get the good weapon, but they have no way of knowing which check has the good weapon, so the player who happens to go to the check with the good weapon first gets a huge advantage just because they happened to check it first. That's luck.
