i think you are reacting pretty well to hearing Dylan like this, one song at a time and all that. I've been pondering which albums to recommend - If you want early/folk 1963/4 Freewheelin' or only a few years later he gave us Nashville Skyline 1969 which has more of a folk/country sound . we were waiting for something a little different (dylan' new sound) when Blood on the Tracks arrived. I would say things magnified (at least for me lol) with Desire ('75) and got just so good with Street Legal (my personal fave). 1978. And then the next new sound - the 80's and gospel , 3 albums....backup singers and big sound. Infidels is also top notch but i have to leave the future from here to the next generation of listeners.. Eventually you should be able to hear all his albums.....so happy to have someone doin' like you do.
There's a very playful version of Buckets of Rain sung as a duet with Bob & Bette Midler exchanging verses and even dialogue mid-song. Dylan cracks up laughing and can barely continue. It's on her album 'Songs for the New Depression'.
"Little red wagon, little red bike, I ain't no monkey but I know what I like ....". I love this song so much. Whole song is perfect imo. My favorites on this album: tangled up in blue, you're a big girl now, meet me in the morning and buckets of rain. Great reaction, thanks for checking out the album. I think you should do The Rolling Stones album Sticky Fingers next. Bob? I would recommend either Desire or Nashville Skyline. If you want to do Folk I'd recommend The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. Look forward to what you've got next
Think you need to listen to all 60's stuff, especially Bringing it all back home, possibly the first 2 "rap" type songs, fast and furious amazing lyrics.
Hi if you are looking for a different era of Dylan album you should react to his most recent album, 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' from 2020 which got to no. 1 in the charts. These were also his 1st original songs since being awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016.
Hi Mark, thanks for the suggestion. It has been mentioned a couple of times already. It looks like you guys really like that one. I'll put it on the list, but it won't be done in the next weeks. Hope to see you around
You've checked out the 60's and the 70's. For the 80's I'd choose Oh Mercy, and then the 90's should be Time Out of Mind. Follow that with Love and Theft from the 2000's, then Rough and Rowdy Ways from 2019, and end it with whatever he comes up with next.,
Time Out Of Mind for the nineties. The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan for his early acoustic folk sound. Highway 61 because it's just that good. Desire for a totally different sound, driven by violin
have you listened to Jimi Hendrix, say Electric Ladyland? How about Paul Simon Graceland. or how about Fleetwood Mac Rumors. someone below mentioned the Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers or Let it Bleed or Exile on Main Street. How about some Kinks, I am fond of their album Arthur.
If you’re looking for something “different” and are brave, try “Self Portrait” from 1970. Rolling Stone famously opened their review with “What is this sh*t?”! On the other hand, Bob did release some true sh*t in the mid to late 80s that should be avoided.
I really love this song. One of my faves from Bob
Another bluesy track but love it. It's been fun watching your journey through Blood on the Tracks. Whichever you choose to do next thank you.
I’ve always loved this song. I can’t explain it. Looking forward to whatever you do next. Great reaction thanks

Highway 61 Revisited, absolute next. Ranked #4 greatest of all time album on Rolling Stone magazine.
Highway 61 > Blonde on Blonde
His best album easily, for an early album, try an often overlooked great album, Another Side Of Bob Dylan

Desire is probably his best album

Or a different artist
Time Out of Mind is really great.

Only Fleetwood Mac. good suggestions. I'll spice it up a bit asap :)
Bob Dylan, makes you laugh, makes you mad, makes you think.
