Tried it, thought it was overpowered by the sesame oil - I would halve it next time - otherwise I liked it a lot
@@MOO67204 Interesting, I'm surprised with only 2 teaspoons. Which brand do you use?
I've been a fan for years. You are showing so many beautiful meals. I can taste these meals through my imagination.
I don't have access to Thai chili paste. Is sambal-oelek an adequate substitute?
I loved the fist of flavor :D Great recipe!
Hey Pailin,
Just wanted to thank you for this walk through. After following your directions to a T(and following directions has never been my strong point), this Thai dish turned out to be the best entree I’ve ever prepared!
Again, Thank you!
I made this recipe and took it to our local monastery for a Magha Puja meal offering. Our community is Theravada, Thai Forest tradition, Ajahn Chah lineage. It was very well received. The monks usually don't finish all the dishes offered but they finished this one. Your ideas of roasting the cashews and searing the chicken made this much better than other versions I have made. Love your channel and cook books.
I watched the video last week and finally made it tonight. What a PERFECT recipe. I could not get thighs so used breast; your marinade trick with adding water worked beautifully. Also roasted those cashews fully, as directed. Better than takeout for sure! Can’t wait to make more of your recipes!
Thank you so much for your kind words!!
A cashew in each bite!!! That never happens at restaurants. 😊😋❣
Right?!
I got myself a mortar and pestle because of you going to start making my Thai food.
Welcome to the club!
It opens up a ton of Mexican dishes, too.
Same here!
Make sure it's a big one. For curries those small ones you usually get in shops aren't big enough.
@@riz8822 that’s true!
Seriously, you can just do no wrong!!! I have loved every single recipe I’ve made from watching your videos. Thank you!!!!
I'm so glad! Thank you!
It's delightful to hear you being so excited about cooking
I have made this recipe for the first time, my teen daughter loves Thai food but so far she wasn't very keen on my attempts at home cooked Thai food. This time, using your recipe and recommended Thai soy sauce and chili paste, it was a wow. Thumbs up from my daughter. Thank you for sharing this.
oh my gosh it just looks amazing. I've recently moved to rural Pennsylvania, and usually its difficult to get all the ingredients I'm looking for. But for this, I have it all! I can't wait for tomorrow nights dinner! Thank you Pai!
You're actually so fun to watch. I've only come across your videos a few days ago but I love the enthusiasm and passion.
So excited for this! I just made your Pad Ga Prao yesterday, again, and it was fantastic as always, but cashew chicken has always been one of my favorites!
So glad to hear, thank you!
Made this for the first time today, and it was delicious! Now that I have several of the basic Thai ingredients, I found the recipe quite easy. (It's especially easy if you have a husband that does all the prep!) In addition to tasting great, the dish looked great. Thanks so much!
The amount of work u are putting in these videos is sooo appreciated . Love you and thanks a lot
You are the favorite person always and forever and dearest to heart🍡🍓🍧🎉🥰🥰💖♥️❤️❤️🌙🫂🍓
I made your recipe this past Sunday. Wow! Wow! Wow! (My best Mark Wiens' impression.) It turned out to be my best ever Thai dish. I'm teaching myself how to cook Thai dishes using your cookbook. I added three Thai chilies during the garlic/onions step of the cook. And, I roughly broke up the cashews in my mortar in order to have more smaller pieces of the cashew flavor spread in the dish. I have got to do this again very soon. How about tomorrow, ya'll? I can't pronounce the Thai name for this dish, but I sure can whip it up and tear it up. ;)
This recipe has all of my favourite things! Definitely making this asap. Your recipe from Thai green chicken curry is sensational..
I made this last night and it was SO GOOD! I had the universal stir fry sauce ready to go. Great tip roasting the cashews more. What a difference! Will make this again and again!
Hi Pailin, I just purchased your cookbook which was the last one left on the shelf at Kinokuniya Kuala Lumpur. It is an extremely beautiful book, very well organised too. I like how you different sections that contribute to a greater understanding of the recipes. Keep on rocking! i hope you have another book in the works lol
You are so fun to watch! Love it. I love cashew chicken, I'll be off to the store tomorrow for the ingredients! THANK YOU!!
I’ve lived in Thailand for 30 years and have tasted this dish in at least 40 different restaurants. This recipe is the best best I’ve tasted. The only change I made was more than double the amount of chili paste. It’s the chili paste/oil that makes the difference between this dish and the bland stuff sold to foreigners in Thailand and overseas, in my opinion. Thanks so much - now I can really enjoy this at home!
Omg yessss!!! It came out delicious 🥰😍 thank youuu!! I’ve been craving this dish and wanted to learn how to make it myself.
Just made this. It’s the very first Thai dish I’ve ever cooked. Absolutely delicious. 100% winner winner. ❤
Thank you so much for this recipe! I made it and it tastes phenomenal!! I love your videos
I absolutely love your channel. I love Thai food, and I would much rather make it than always buy take out. Thank you for sharing your Thai recipes.
Hey Pailin, I just wanted to say I love your channel. I have wanted to make Thai food for a long time. I have your 2 books and have learned so much. I made your stir fry sauce and made the best shrimp stir fry I have ever tasted. It had sugar pea pods, broccoli, onion, mushrooms, carrots, and garlic. My family loved it. So tomorrow I am making this one. Thank you so much! My Thai cooking is finally getting to be really good thanks to you!
I live in Houston TX and we have many Thai restaurants we go to where I have their Cashew Chicken and it is my favorite meal to eat above all else! Decided I wanted to make my own and I tried your recipe and followed it to a T and HOLY SMOKES!!! This is the most amazing cashew chicken I've ever had! Thank you!
Tried this recipe on the weekend and it was fantastic! I have enjoyed watching the seasoning develop on your Wok cause I'm a nerd like that. Been subscribed and watching since that baby was bare carbon steel. Keep up the great work, love the channel!
Amazing! Another gem tutorial on an amazing dish. By the way, I made your Thai green curry for my mom and she really like it. She said, "ใช้ได้" (loosely translated meaning, "usable"), which was high praise coming from her.
Aww, that's great! Like most Asian parents, they'll praise everyone generously except their own children, lol!
wow
It's easy to understand and follow.
I will be cooking this for sure.
Thank you Kun Pai.
Brilliant! I have chicken, I have cashews and everything else. I´ll definitely try out your recipe this weekend. Aw chucks! I´m out of chilli paste. I´ll have to go back to your other video to make that first. Thank you for everything, Khun Pai. You make my weekend!🙏
Made this! Absolutely delicious! Thank you!
Thank you for this recipe. My family loved it. Easy recipe, easy to follow.
What a pretty and delicious looking dish! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. 😋😋😋
Looks delicious! Thanks for these super recipes! Your standard wok souse has been my go-to since I watched the video, with slight additions some times to match a specific type of dish 😊
This is a simple and terrific recipe! I followed it precisely, however, I did go about 10% over on all of the vegetables and thighs. To compensate, I added 1.5 tablespoons of water to the sauce to stretch it out. It came out perfect. I wouldn’t deviate at all from her sauce ingredients. I was able to find them all in an H Mart here in the US. And yes, roast those cashews! It really makes a difference, and use unsalted. I had raw cashews on hand so I had to do it anyway. I highly recommend this dish! 👍👍
Going to make this tomorrow night.. looks amazing and great little tips too! Thank you!
Your cooking is the best.... and cashew chicken is one of my favourite things to eat.
Every of your recepies are so delicious. Thank you for sharing . Greetings from🇨🇭
This was a HUGE HIT for my family 7.
Thank you for sharing!
I can't wait 2 days for this!!!!!
that looks so good ! i never tried that dish and i just can't wait 2 more days...
Thanks Pailin, my mother really liked that one. I was surprised that the thai chili paste wasn't so hot as I expected. But the dried chili was, and only I ate those. 😊
Yum and I will be cooking this yum dish tonight.
Thank you.☺️
One of my favortie dishes at home, I can't wait to try your version
I've made this twice now, and will be making it for the third time tonight. I made your homemade chili paste and not only is it fabulous, it was so much fun to make!!!
Thank you for sharing your recipes!
Wow,wow.wow...I made.this tonight. I thought it would be too many peppers. But I am trying to learn. It was so great. Me nd my husband loved it. I'm finally learning how.to make really good Thai food at 64 and 1/2 years old. lol.
Thank you so much!
I have had this before in a restaurant a few time its very good i did not know it was this easy to make very cool i will have to make some for my family
Great recipe. I cooked it yesterday. Delicious!
A mouth watering cashew chicken recipe! Looks super delicious and satisfying! Nicely made video! :)
Wow this is one of my favorite dishes , I can’t wait to try this recipes, thanks 😋😋😋😋🥰🥰🌹🌹
Wonderful! Thanks for this recipe!
Good deal Pailin making this this weekend for family. I use thai green curry paste for seasoning in many American dishes, I serve it on the side because not everyone likes the spice or the herbalness (Guess that's a word). Definately will try the heat on the side for a couple of family members, or they can just have oatmeal :D
Hi Pailin, I made this dish tonight and it is delicious. Thanks!
정말 맛있어 보이는 음식을 만드셨네요.
군침 돕니다
Great recipe and very straightforward. Always been one of my favorite dishes, but have never attempted it before. It was delicious! Thank you!
Many many thanks for your receipt. I love this dish in a restaurant, but yours even tasted better. Thanks again and I will make also your other dishes. Keep you posted
Pailin thank you for your time energy and high quality information 🔑💚🙏🏻

fist of flavor! love it. thanks for the great videos. i really enjoy them.
I just made this for the first time tonight, my parents came round for dinner and we all loved it! I doubled the amount of chicken for my fitness diet, and so I added more soy sauce to marinade in and it turned out fantastic!
Hello Pai, im a filipina and my fave thai food is Phad thai and my swiss hubby is thai Cashew Chicken,Thank you for sharing...

ขอบคุณมากค่ะ จากคนไกลบ้านเหมือนกัน..😊😍😘😘
You are the bestest !! So easy to follow and authentic.. amazing .. my hero
I did it! Thank you.
Used Maggi Sauce as a substitute…. And was unable to find Thai chilli paste but used a hot chilli pepper paste from Korea that seemed to provide a good flavour as well.
❤️ 🇹🇭
This looks amazing!!! Thank you!!!
Great recipe, can't wait to.try it
Oh YES!! Gonna do this one!! Thank you!!
My favourite, thanks for posting this
made this tonight, absolute keeper, turned out fantastic! I did add a handful of sweet snap peas for some additional crunchy texture and flavor, just dropped in at the end to warm a bit but keep tight. Wonderful recipe that's gonna be in rotation here, thank you!
I lived for years in Thailand, your english is fabulous 🙂
I made it today. Omg. Delicious! As are all your recipes.
So glad! Thanks for sharing!!
Love your channel. Newly subscribed!! I like your very clear easy to follow steps!! Look forward to seeing more recipes. Thankyou!!
I’ve made this 3 times now and it’s as advertised! Better then take out.
Just made this tonight. Tastes exactly like what I would eat when I Iived in Bangkok. Thank you!
You made my day by watching your show.
About to make this tonight. Just tried some of that Thai Chilli Paste - it's delicious! Was apprehensively licking the spoon waiting for a blast of spiciness but it's just delicious!
Made this last night. I found the golden mountain sauce at my local H mart and used gojujang instead of Thai chili sauce. I am using the Thai sauce tonight to see the difference. I loved this recipe.
I made this. Really delicious!
Thank you so much for the video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! This came out soooo good when I made it. I can't wait to make it for my spouse who has stated emphatically that she doesn't like Cashew Chicken. I used breast meat but and immediately realized that thighs would have been the *perfect* meat to have used. I didn't have the special sauce you mentioned, so I just added more fish sauce as you had also recommended and it came out great! It had all those complex flavors you always wonder how they achieve in restaurants -- only better!
On here; 'cause I just forwarded this to another friend. Pai is FANTASTIC in explaining the "how and why".
And that is half of your cooking.
Pailin maybe a good chef. But she's also a great teacher. That is amazing!
Not every specialist is able to teach. (I'm from an engineers/technical background.)
One of my favourite channels, on here.
@@peterdoe2617 So true! She describes so carefully the order in which you combine, along with types and even brand of ingredients makes all the difference in the final outcome.
Excellent recipe........... Video is professionally done!!!
Fist of flavour! That was great! lols Great recipe and you make it look so easy! Thanks!
Very yummy and super easy! Big thumbs up! Thanks Pai :)
This is a winner. Thanks.
At least one cashew with every bite!! I like that 😋👍. Great recipe!! Thanks Pai 👍😊
i learn a lot. thanks !!!!
When she says don’t touch it and oil shooting everywhere at her, I felt that I’m always the curious cat that likes to flip too early or too late. My family loved the recipe mucho garacias! Happy Easter
So yummie!
I'd fry the onions on high first, I like slightly burnt onions then add garlic half way through on med.. ✌😛👌💞💞💞💞💞
