- Our next budget makeover is Drew’s bedroom! We were able to give Drew a more mature Star Wars bedroom for only $200 in just one week! OH WOW!!!! It's like you totally made a custom room for my 13yr old nephew!!! 😂 I think Drew & my nephew would be the BEST of friends!!!! He builds Legos all the time, loves Minecraft, & Star Wars is his favorite movie & has a collection started! And then when I saw the train.....my dad is a HUGE train guy, has many layouts, & sells at train/hobby shows (pre covid) and my nephew is into them too & helps "Gramps" at shows!!!! He also has a train on shelf in his room. So crazy!!!! His bday is in April, I'm going to have to show this to my brother & do a makeover for him! 🤗 I LOVE your custom art .. GENIUS!!!! 💜 You guys ALL did an AMAZING job & Selah, I will absolutely watch your channel anytime!!!! Too cute! 💜😘👍👍

WOW! That is a fantastic space for a Creator! And hilarious conversation about what gets to migrate into the new room. I have had this same convo several times with my three sons as we changed things up through moves and stages of life. Hopefully Drew has been especially enjoying his great new desk. Love the munchkin sized beanbag chair too.
Haha! He has been loving his new desk. It's currently covered in Lego creations!
I used to work in a nursing home and you should turn the top sheet upside down for a couple of reasons. In the nursing home they don't want where the the flap is against the residents skin because it can cause bed sores. And when you go to get into the bed Drew will see the design of the sheets both upper and underneath him. And if you fold the top sheet over the bedspread he will see the design. At least that's how I do it.
My mom used to do that when I was growing up. Honestly, the kids don't use flat sheets much - just blankets!

Can’t believe you painted over the cracked parts of the old window sill! It’ll just pull up over the loose paint. Preparation needn’t be hard. Just a bit of scraping would be enough to save that expensive paint! Other than that, the room looked amazing!
Haha! I'm a lazy painter. I did scrape off a lot of the chipped paint.

Hope he enjoys his room. Tough age going from kid the teen, wanting to be grown up yet still wanting to “play”. I know it was harder transitioning my son’s room than my daughter’s rooms.

The house belongs to the nonprofit where Rob works. We are not buying it, but are putting money into the house as part of our housing arrangement!

The end product was amazing but I cringed when you painted over the old peeled paint in the window sill.

I did, too. Plus, I hope it’s not lead paint with the older home. He looks so happy with his room
In this area it is best to not disturb the existing paint unless Lead Test has been done.
The paint on the window sill isn't that old - so I doubt it's lead based paint! But wise thinking!
@@ourdiyary I wasn't concern about lead paint, but more of because it was pealing the new paint will be pealing soon because the old pain was lifting.
