Hi Johanna, I am late watching this vlog as I had a little one of my own last year and life got busier. I had tears in my eyes. I have watched every single of your vlogs until recently and I remember all the moments you shared in this video. I felt so emotional, so can’t even imagine what you all must have felt. But I am sure you have new wonderful adventures waiting for you in Mumbai. Lots of love 💗
It was such a special time in Kerala, I'll always treasure those memories! And I'm sure you're making wonderful memories with your little one too which you'll cherish ❤️. Life does get super busy once they start running around the house
We Malayalis say once we step out of Kerala then we realise its true value. But "we leave home to make home". Its ok. Kerala is always your home. Who knows probably you will buy a retirement home here in future. Till then work hard and enjoy.
❤❤️when see this video I felt my family leaving from here kerala is like always carn and peace full plz twice in year must be visit here annikas birth place is here she want best nostalgic feel from here .
This brought back so many memories. My dad was in the army and every time we moved it was heartbreaking. And with every home and every city we left behind, a tiny part of us stayed there forever..
Kerala played a pivotal role in your life. Thank you for appreciating our culture and adjusting to our limited resources over there in payyannur. Pls come again I can understand how mixed feelings you hv while shifting.we too shift frequently but believe me you will adjust within 6 months in new location. Bombay is the best for you. Wish you all the best
I started watching your videos when you were pregnant. At that point even I was pregnant and back at my home in Kerala. Felt like your Annika and my son grew up together. All the best to you new life and will miss watching your quiet Kerala life😃
No doubt you lived in the most beautiful part of South India. It is hard to leave the house where our children grow up. Lots of memories! All the best ! In Mumbai!,
I wouldve also preferred never leaving my own childhood home and living there with my own family, but then i wouldve never had Vinod and Annika ❤ letting go is sooo hard but hopefully we always get great things in return!
Yes it's home i understand that bcos my father had bank job and we were constantly shifting from one city to another. Now as a mature person i look those shifting in beautiful memories. Mumbai is fast paced but it's rewarding in many ways. Lot's of love to amazing toddler Annika ❤
@JohannaNorth may be that's why I connect with her so much, children are sensitive and develop feelings easily. Changes make us sad ( as i am earth sign ) till you feel comfortable in new surroundings. With you around Annika will be always chattery 😄 , explorer and highly confident. Pls plan a meet up ❤️.
Ah sad to see you leaving beautiful and peaceful place in Kerala, sometime Indian big cities will be just overwhelming and chaotic which is a total contrast, but at the same time there are lots more opportunities and a mix of various cultures could be seen at one place.
Sad but yet wonderful experience ahead for you and annika and Vinod . So you are in Finland now when you left Kerala it was like sooo sad as if we lived there with you and you are leaving us all. Strange we live overseas so apart but through videos and media connection we feel we are on your journey .. Hope you all the best. Regards and hugs to your sister and mom. What a humble family you got there
Nice collection of all old memories. Anika cute words so mesparising. We are all proud of you adopting to Indian enviranment. Best wishes in your new endovers at Mumbai.
As a maharastrian who has lived and now abroad, Mumbai is brutal yet human, it will love you as much as you give it love, if U want to see the real humanity Mumbai is for you, Kerala is laid back like Goa is yet life is cool, but Mumbai will shock you from day one. Embrace it as it is and you will love it totally. Good Luck
It is heart wrenching but Annaika is going to one day cherish all the places she lived in. My dad was so so lucky to work with Birlas _ this saw us be transferred every few years. Savour every trip to a new destination in India from North to South, East to West. You will love Mumbai too
It’s the same for us, the need to relocate every few years. We were very lucky to have a long tenure in Kerala! And hopefully there won’t be very many transfers in the cards for us anymore.
Moving is so much work and that too with a kid. We moved across states when my daughter was one. Good luck with everything. I hope you find good friends there.
I hate moving, it is soooo stressful! Next time if there is a transfer, I’ll go to Jaipur with Annika and let Vinod handle it alone since he knows how to manage the process most efficiently and then we dont end up fighting about it 😅
Goodbyes are always heart wrenching but the memories created in that time live on and are not determined by distance and space. Good luck to Annika, Vinod and you, Johanna as you embark on another episode of life.
Thank you for sharing both your family lives and Annika's growing up years too. I had a glimpse of life in Kerala and it was a wonderful journey from your lens. God bless. Looking forward to more videos of your times in Mumbai. Good for Annika. Place her in a good school. Doesn't matter the distance if school buses are there. Gonna take her.a long way in life.
Your videos are always so atmosperic and beautiful. Thank you. This time I had tears in my eyes. I’ve been watching your videos almost from the beginning of your channel and they are my favorites on UA-cam. Greetings from a german - persian couple
That's gonna be another challenge for you and baby. Mumbai is chaotic and not that hygienic, it also depends on where you live. Good luck to your family.
Beautiful video. Very sad that you have to leave this place where you have had so many beautiful memories. I do hope that all of you will be able to come back again some day. Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤
Very emotional vlog, but this place is very beautiful. Wish you all the best for your second destination and hope with lots of new things in life. Stay blessed and keep smiling always ❤
Such a beautiful video. I have been following your journey since the beginning. All the best to you and your family ! Will miss seeing parts of Payyanur and Kannur district in your videos; a place that I consider home.
Beautiful video😊 You already hv abundant memories to cherish abt Kerala. Annika is lucky to hv spent her initial years here in the middle of wonderful nature and let's hope she gets to visit the place again someday..
Very sad that you are going away Especially for Annika it will be a very confusing change. Here in Kerala, the sights, sounds and smells is what she has got used to . Mumbai with its cramped spaces and fast paced life will be difficult for a child as sensitive as Annika to get adjusted to. I wish her a happy future. Come back to Kerala any time you like. We will miss you. Bon voyage.
It’s a difficult change for sure. But might be more so for Vinod and I 😅 Annika does still mention Kerala and her friends there every now and then, but she’s a real trooper and focuses on all the fun she has in Mumbai!
It's bringing tears in my eyes too. Wishing you a happy journey ... Life itself is a great journey. Wishing you all the Best from the core of my heart.
Really an emotional vedio😢 I started watching your vlog because of your connection with payyannur, a place close to my heart. It was a vedio before your pregnancy I think. So all ur memories abt this house was my memories too, with you guys. Feel like you are going away from us keralites. But don't worry where ever u go in this world you can find a malayali there😅😅😅 All the best for you new beginning 😊😊😊
I think Mumbai has a pretty big malayali community 😊 but definitely miss our home in Kerala even still, and Annika still sometimes talks about like she thinks that’s our home and we’re going back there soon 😢❤ …which we might do just for a Mutthazham fish meal!

Thank you so much Johanna for the wonderful, emotional farewell to your precious home. Wishing you all a most rewarding life in the city. I look forward to continuing along that road with you & hope you will not be long in keeping up with video of the journey. I have missed seeing Annika so very much. You must know how uncle Blair loves you all. Give Annika a hug & kiss for me. 💋❤
I remember watching your videos way back .rushing around to get some kind of license and moving to your new home Pregnancy announcement and crazy weather videos I wish you all the best in your new home .
Beautiful VDO. I saw your vlog after a long time and therefore very happy to seeold familier faces. Your VDOs have always been my favourate. You guys are moving to Mumbai in Maharashtra state which is my state . Welcome to Maharashtra and Mumbai. God bless your family.
Moving from Kerala to Mumbai is simply awesome in some ways… from calm n peaceful life to very busy city life where u find everything different, so it’s good you may not feel that missing for many days as you find yourself too busy in Mumbai…that’s life… njoy ur new city
Well at least for us it seems to be quite a lengthy adjustment process and we do still miss Kerala… but i’m sure we’ll eventually settle well into Mumbai and enjoy it even more than now 😊
This video has brought out every single emotion I could think of...i became a subscriber when I was doing random searches during my 17 days isolation with covid in the very initial wave here in the States.. if I recall I was trying to find out which area of the world might be a better place to live in if the covidl thing continues unabated.. so I started searching knowing Finland was the happiest country I said Indians in Finland.. and Google magic brought me to Finns in India.. the rest, as they say, is history. :-) Best to Annika as always.. are we still waiting for Vinod's vlog where he speaks fluent Finnish😂?! And I forgot to add, very very classy editing...
That’s some pretty spectacular magic from Google considering we Finns are not that many here in india! But did you know that the Indian community makes one of the largest minorities in Finland these days? 🤯 Vinod keeps practising Finnish though, even if he might be able to survive in Finland just with English and Hindi 😅
Sorry to see you all leave Payyannur. Glad you are taking with you memories that you will cherish a lifetime. Well, time to move on from a quiet paced life to a more hectic bustling city. Enjoy the journey that is life and create good memories wherever it takes you. And, if memories and nature beckons you, Kerala is an overnight train ride away.
I wonder if she’ll have any memories of her first home in the future, like I do about mine which my family moved out of when I was 5. Annika mightve been too young when we left Kerala but at least we’ll always have these videos! ❤️
Hello Everyone’s ❤🙏🏻,……………….AMAZING FIRST COMMNETS AND SO BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES VIEWS VERY VERY NICE 🙏🏻🤲🏼💗💗💙ANNKIA IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND FAST GROW UP NOW … , LOTS OF LOVE ANNIKA, JOHANNA,VINDO FAMILY 🙏🏻💐
Such a beautiful video!! You and Vinod created such a warm and welcoming home in Payyanur. N of course the birth of Annika in the Kerala home makes it even more a special place filled with love n memories to last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤ Am sure Mumbai will also welcome you all with open arms and you can create your cosy home with more memories to be created.
Mumbai is definitely welcoming, but our home is a big work in progress and thus our adjusting too! We could’ve done some better choices about our living situation and there have been some other unrelated issues too this year which has made it a rather challenging move and we’ve missed Kerala a lot 🥹
Your daughter will relive and cherish her kerala memories through your youtube diaries. She is lucky to have awesome parents and grandparents.
Your house in Kerala with all that greanery ,beach, wild life, clean and fresh air .....is so wonderful.....
Its really a paradice ......❤
That is so true!

I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed it 🙏
Such a beautiful video!! You and Vinod created such a warm and welcoming home in Payyanur. N of course the birth of Annika in the Kerala home makes it even more a special place filled with love n memories to last a lifetime. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤
Am sure Mumbai will also welcome you all with open arms and you can create your cosy home with more memories to be created.
Mumbai is definitely welcoming, but our home is a big work in progress and thus our adjusting too! We could’ve done some better choices about our living situation and there have been some other unrelated issues too this year which has made it a rather challenging move and we’ve missed Kerala a lot 🥹
Happy Journey to you. Awesome video.
