Hi Johanna, I am just a silent viewer of your vlogs, but felt I should thank you for this wonderful vlog you have uploaded, sharing a snippet of the wonderful Finnish way of life. Thanks for letting us take a peek into it. :) It's a delight to watch Annika grow up.
Your smile, Johanna tells the whole story. You are so happy to spend some time in Finland. I trust that your Finnish family is also very happy to have you around for few months. I honestly share this happiness from Denmark.
I hadn't been in Finland for almost three years, so yes I'm very happy to be here finally! For me, this is a very easy place to live in so I feel very relaxed, at peace and happy, which then gives me plenty of energy for my everlasting adjustment to living in India :)
i think you will leave india.. soon your honeymoon time of bollywood is over.. it happens to most foreigner.. they come to india thinking of exotic spicy life.. few years down the line everything exotic becomes hectic .. i think you will either leave india and come to finland alone with annika .. or persuade your husband to come to finland.. you are not he type who can stay in india..

I love how annika melds with all the different cultures and languages . well done for teaching her all the languages so great to see this , my kids are also from 2 different cultures
Great to have your Gorgeously shot Vlogs back.. now in Finland. Different Scenery, Background Music and Hovering long shots. All capturing the charming verve of the little energetic Bundle of cuteness Annika 😊. Loved the fade to the end to Good Night and the various music with Light playful Piano accompaniment. As a couple your capture of family moments are rivaled by none on the internet so far 😊. Have fun in The Summer of Beautiful Finland.
It's breathtaking ♥️ I thought winter was amazing. Those play horses took me back in time also just seen that there are actually competitions with those play horses. I always knew about Finland but it is very limited you have literally opened the window allowing us to see the true beauty.♥️
Yes hobby horse championships are quite popular in Finland and I think there's also this one Finnish girl who performs all over the world even in the US! Happy to share my beautiful Finland with you :)
What a genuine bond Annika's Finnish side of relationship has with her. From a hectic and over crowded Mumbai to a peaceful and laid back life in a Finnish province. Very gratifying ❤ Annika's euphoric energy was contagious ❤
Annika does miss her Mumbai home too, but there are so many exciting, new things for her to do here in Finland, so she barely has time to remember that! :)

Such a beautiful blog. Enjoy Finland with your beautiful family. It’s so beautiful to see you navigating two countries and two different cultures so well.
What a lovely family you two have created, I especially loved seeing Annika take in her Finnish environment so wonderfully. Stay blessed always! Lots of love 💕
What a perfect little video! I don't know, even though I love India, Finland seems so much more peaceful and just full of joy. Looks like a beautiful home to grow up in.
helsinki is a wonderful, peaceful place. i hope annika has a great time in finland! it is so lovely to see multinational families like yours, navigate beautifully through two cultures. all the best going forward!
Wow, what a beautiful video. I enjoyed the background music with piano? Annika is so happy to be here, by the looks of it. It is good that you thought of her education and more so, safety. As a mother it is only natural to think of Annika's future and upbringing. You look contented and settled, may I say. Looks like a beautiful mid summer day and still warm for September. Annika seems happy with grandma and grandpa. Pray Annika, you and husband live happily together. God bless.
Its always nice to see places from your eyes❤❤❤ I can see how much annika is enjoying Nani 's house. I really missed going to nani's house, delicious dishes and the pampering ❤❤❤
Happy to see Annika thriving in her new environment. Enjoy the summer, it is short and the long winter will come soon. Annika is very adaptable, thanks to her parents who are doing a great job raising her.
Thanks a lot :) And to be fair to Finland, winter only really starts in Nov/Dec, though of course autumn can be pretty cold too! :'D But August was still mostly warm and now September is supposed to be on the warmer side too
@@JohannaNorth I worked at an intl school in Ulaanbaator, probably the coldest capital in the world! The city had excellent central heating everywhere, so it was pretty comfortable. However I did get a real taste of harsh winters. we always came home for Christmas ( Goa) and also during the June/July the monsoon which is magical in Goa.
It takes a village to raise a child. This is touching. So nice to see Annika playing outside. Time starved parents now use computer games and internet to keep children busy 😢 which makes me sad
I think computers and internet can be very useful tools helping parents in the day to day busy chaos, we certainly do use them too with Annika, but moderation and parental supervision is key 😊
As always, that’s such a lovely vlog, Johanna! I love watching your videos 😍 You have a blessed and beautiful family. I specially love seeing Annika with her grandparents and seeing her communicating with you guys in all of her languages (Finnish, Hindi and English, right?!). From what I see, you use the OPOL method… but, could you someday do a video talking a bit about how’s been raising her as a multilingual kid? Btw, I’d love to be able to understand and speak Finnish and Hindi 🇫🇮😍🇮🇳 could you add subtitles to this parts of the videos? Much love from Blumenau - Brazil 🇧🇷😚💐
Thank you so much, lovely to hear all that! :) Yes, Annika speaks Finnish, English and Hindi, and I'd say we use OPOL in a flexible manner. For example, I speak maybe 95% Finnish to her. I can also sometimes speak English to her especially if Annika, Vinod and I are doing something or talking together, or I can even say some simple commands in Hindi to her, if I think there are Hindi-speaking people around us, who need to understand what I'm telling Annika to do. Or now that we're in Finland, I'm reading Annika her bedtime stories in English and even trying to sing some Hindi kids' songs so that she hears those language more in a day.
Finland is truly a beautiful place, been there twice , ah and the northern lights and the volcanoes, and the food too, yes Annika must stay there to learn her mom's side of the family cultures and traditions. Its good ur there.
What a Beautiful Video👌 Annika is a Precious little soul🤗, It's so good seeing her adapt to both environments, How Awesome she interacts with her Grandparents 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻Thanks for an amazing video ,this seemed like a fairytale one reads in books or watching a kids programme, Loved the tranquility set in a brightly coloured garden and calm settting 👌❤🇿🇦
Such a pleasant surprise to the start of my day J ! I would sell a kidney to have a morning Finnish coffee with you all. Everything about your Finland scenery is so much like my own home town upbringing. Annika seems to enjoy creating a joyful life with her mind, wherever she happens to be. THAT'S my interpretation of the "religious statement" (paraphrasing here) of only entering their 'heaven' as a child. Thought (edit: thought with intent) creates reality, & to be sure, ya don't have to be religious to believe that. I never forget the early photos with a huge smile on her face when she recently entered this world. You appear to be so happy there Johanna. It's such a pleasure to see. I hope Vinod also is cherishing the time he is able to be there before returning to work. Your Mom's partner is to be commended for such a wonderful space & environment for your visit & a special "hello" from Uncle B to all the Finnish extended family. 💋❤
I think I've told you this before but Canada and certain northern US states have sooo many similarities and probably due to that surprisingly big Finnish-origin communities, as Finns can easily enjoy life there too :) Annika is very easy to please and she loves being outdoors, so she's of course very happy to do just that! And as for me, I just feel so at ease here, because it's a familiar and safe-feeling setting as I grew up here, so I can just relax and focus on enjoying our time in Finland after so long! :)
Aanika is so happy with new environment and with her grandparents. As you people love nature and always enjoy with nature. U have got same here too. Not less than Goa. God bless you with many more happiness and good health in life. Stay blessed and keep smiling always ❤
While most Indians might be doing yoga and meditation, for us Finns spending time outdoors and in the nature is an equally essential part of life, maybe because our living environment also supports that basic need :)
What a lovely vlog, Johanna. Seeing Vinod, yourself n cutey Annika in Finland, enjoying your summer in the lush green environment is so refreshing to watch. May you all make plenty of wonderful memories of family time 💚🌿☘️🍂🍃🌼⚘️🏞

Annika and I are here only temporarily so I can apply to school. But she is of course going to day care while I'm focusing on that. We are returning to Mumbai once I'm finished with that process by Jan 25 :)
Lovely seeing the little girl "working" in the garden! Have a nice trip! Finland looks lovely in summer! 19:04 that is so fascinating when you say the days are so long that figuring our days & nights are hard, How do you readjust the circadian rhythm? I guess need to have pretty good blinds to block out the sunlight during "Night" time or use eye masks!
Well Vinod wears an eye mask at night even in India, so that works for him. And Annika anyways doesn't like the dark and goes to sleep the same way as in India after closing the curtains a bit. For me it's difficult to say, because maybe it comes naturally as that's the environments I've grown up in or maybe I'm just good at falling asleep? I don't really do anything intentional to readjust the circadian rhythm. I always go to sleep roughly around the same time no matter the season or location. Though it is true that the sunlight gives a lot of energy, so in Finland we people are much more energetic, social and active during the summer months, and a bit more tired and gloomy during the darkest months.
@@JohannaNorth Fascinating indeed Your body and that of other people who grew up in northernmost areas(or southernmost for that matter - like southern areas of South America) must have evolved to rely on cues other than amount of sunlight. More so for birds & animals (they don't even have access to any artificial aids). Perhaps position of sun in the sky during summer & moon during winter?!
Hello🙏🏼, Everyone’s Annika enjoyed send good time playground fun more very nice , we enjoyed eat restaurant out nice but very so beautiful deferents buildings and city and other so peoples in the Finland very nice 👌🏼👌🏼💖🙏🏼 …..😊
Never missed your winter stay in Finland...now looking forward to beautiful summer in Finland..hope you will post videos often... Also Johanna seeing you with your mom reminded me of the days my daughter and grandson visited us 2 years back ...she lives in faraway Australia...seeing little annika playing with her grandma brought back memories of my little grandson, he is 7yrs now..😢...
I love when you said it's summer and everyone enjoys being outside and then a few seconds later, you showed the gloomy and cloudy sky. I don't know if it is intentional or just a coincidence. In any case, I loved it.
It's summer, it only comes once a year and doesn't last very long, so even if the sky is a bit grey and cloudy that's not gonna stop us from living our best summer life here in Finland :'D
@@JohannaNorth , the summer definition in England and Finland must be so different from India. They call it summer in England, but it rains most of the time in England even in summer. On the other hand, at least it is not raining in Finland even though the Sun isn't shining. So that's a positive. Anyway, looking forward to your vlogs from Finland "Summer". 😂😂
Oh wow Johanna I didn't know that Finland had daylight for so long in the summer. I know that daylight was extremely limited in the winter but it seems to be making up for lost time in the summer ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I bet you are feeling v settled in Finland away from the overwhelm of Mumbai. Lots of outdoor space and places to go for you and your family, Annika has a brilliant outdoor life there. You mentioned in your previous video that she played more indoors whilst in Mumbai. I'm so glad she can have outdoor time now with her Finnish family. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes the daylight keeps constantly either decreasing or increasing according to the time of the year, culminating in around 20th June when the sun doesn’t set at all, and around 20th December when it doesn’t rise. 😊 it’s indeed nice to be much more active and get to spend most of the days outdoors!
@@JohannaNorth I'm soooooo HAPPY that u are getting to live 6 months of your life with Annika in Finland away from Mumbai where it's so over populated with poorer air quality than Finland. Also it lacks the outdoor spaces. Finland is certainly more suitable for u and lil Annika. I hope that things change in terms of Mumbai. Re when it's time to return there you manage to live in an area that's more suitable for u all dear 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Dear Johanna what an absolutely lovely vídeo of Summer in Finland with Annika and family!! She is blooming with her Finnish side!! I wonder if she already puts together some sentences in Finnish? 😊 Sooo great to see Nina and Mommy plus all other family members. Living away from my family is rough on me even though most are in my country but live away up in the North😢, but yesterday I was with my uncle, auntie and cousins and it was delightful , so I totally understand how you feel. Finland looks so 😍 beautiful and cool in Summer. Not sure if you are back in India, but I hope you had a blast and truly enjoyed your stay. Much love FM Portugal ❤
Annika has been speaking Finnish in sentences long before our current trip, but she has now definitely progressed into much longer, complex sentences and constantly coming up with her own stories, rhymes, songs... :)
@@JohannaNorth Really?? How amazing! I never seem to hear her speak it, but she sure understands it, one can see. Congratulations to Annika and you Johanna for making sure she does develop bilingualism and not just...she seems to already speak, understand Hindi and English. Tks for clarifying.
Annika is really only ever on the camera with me and Vinod, we both speak English on the videos and Annika doesn't have a reason to speak Finnish then, so that's probably why :)
Hi Johanna sis...your home⛅ town looks even more prettier😍 at summer time..and 😂 I love the moment when Annika's grandma filming you all at airport..she forgot vinod bro is standing in front of him haaaa..what a cute moment ..it's brings us a smile and tell us about that drone clip who is pilot? Though it is true that the sunlight gives a lot of energy, so in Finland we people are much more energetic, social and active during the summer months, and a bit more tired and gloomy during the darkest months.
@@JohannaNorth Fascinating indeed Your body and that of other people who grew up in northernmost areas(or southernmost for that matter - like southern areas of South America) must have evolved to rely on cues other than amount of sunlight. More so for birds & animals (they don't even have access to any artificial aids). Perhaps position of sun in the sky during summer & moon during winter?!
No wonder Finland ranks high in hdi
Love you Annika 🙏🙏
Annika cuttiiee cuttiiee looking!all blessing 🙌 Love from Mumbai ❤

Never missed your winter stay in Finland...now looking forward to beautiful summer in Finland..hope you will post videos often...
Also Johanna seeing you with your mom reminded me of the days my daughter and grandson visited us 2 years back ...she lives in faraway Australia...seeing little annika playing with her grandma brought back memories of my little grandson, he is 7yrs now..😢...
Wishing you're reunited with your grandson soon! I know it's not easy to be apart for such long times

so beautiful 😘simply superb
Nice time with family ; nice and quiet environment!
I am messaging from India 🇮🇳 as a French national !
Soon , I shall travel to France too …
Have a great time there 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The Scandinavian countries really know how to make good use of both artificial and natural light! Love their modern futuristic looking buildings.
I agree, we've got a very unique style of architecture! 😊
So good to see you again
I know that daylight was extremely limited in the winter but it seems to be making up for lost time in the summer ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I bet you are feeling v settled in Finland away from the overwhelm of Mumbai.
It is so beautiful out there❤🤩. I hope I could go to Finland someday ❤
In that case I'll wish that for you too! :)

Happy you enjoyed and hoping it gives you good Sunday vibes! 😊 actually, we roll the R like Annika does in Finnish too! 🤓

So nice to see you all enjoying the summer. I have been to Helsinki and it is really beautiful there this time of year...but can be cold too.
There's a good chance during every season of it feeling cold in Finland :'D
@@JohannaNorth Só good Johanna. Happy she is picking it up.
Appreciate both for your parenting. Annika is learning and experiencing both cultures . Beautiful Finland
Thank you so much! Wishing you a happy Sunday :)
