Hi, WeightPro uses geodesic voxel distances to calculate skin weights. It works fine for multi-element and topology-uncorrect meshes, but sometimes it can produce not very smooth weights transitions (especially on dense meshes), DeltaMush on the other hand is mush easier to setup and it behaves much better on regular and dense meshes than WeightPro. The DeltaMush solver can guess the best set of skin vertex weights to match the DeltaMush smoothing as good as possible. I'd say that WeightPro is more versatile espacially for game engines, but if you work with topology-correct meshes then DeltaMushToSkin will probably produce a little better result and will do it faster.
I saw MAYA 2018 has DeltaMush skin functions. Does it has any relation with your DeltaMush plugin ? BTW: MAX 2018's [data channel modifier] has DeltaMush to fix skin. Does it has any relation with your DeltaMush plugin ? Do you contribute that?
@@poserposer8965There's no relation between those and my plugin. DeltaMush is pretty common way to smooth out skin deformations, but my plugin can also solve the approximate skin weights so that you can have DeltaMush-like result without using the DeltaMush at all, for example in game engines.
Does this work on CAT Rigs, I have been trying but when I get to "create input animation" - the proxy bones it makes do not match with the reference CAT rig. Would you happen to know why? Thank you for any help you could provide
Hi, Sir. I still can't use the "Solve Skin weights" function smoothly. Although you said that after completing the "SmoothBoolean" plug-in, you will work on the Delta Mush after this one is finished. But the "SmoothBoolean" plug-in is still at a far distant date. Can I injoy the "DeltaMush" in my lifetime? I have been buying it for a long time and have tried countless failures. I really can not wait patiently. Could you be resolved as soon as possible? Thank you.
@@KM3DCOM Hi, I also have the same problem when running "Solve Skin weights", I don't know how long time I should wait for it. Could you help me to resolve it? Thank you.
Really should add documentation or a 'tutorial' video. Something.
Hi, the "solve skin weights" button is greyed out for me so I can't use it. I am trying out the trial version at the moment. Is this normal?
Hi, yes, that's the limitation of the demo version.
@@kamilmaagowski9202 no problem and thanks for the reply. I wondered if that was the case. I'll purchase it now thanks
Good job!!!
Is it possible to collapse delta mush with skin without delet skin?
You need to solve the skin weights first, then you can delete deltaMush modifier and leave only skin
@@KM3DCOM thanks a lot for the answer)
Will this work with really bad sized dummy bones? (they are so small)
I'm afraid it may not work properly since the plugin requires the bones to be more or less of a real size.
@@kamilmaagowski9202 Okay, great I might have to invest in this soon!
BONES PRO! SAME! :-D
Very Impressive tool !! Seems so easy to skin a character !
I realize I am kinda off topic but does anybody know a good place to stream new movies online ?
@Ari Samuel Meh try Flixportal. You can find it on google:) -joshua
@Joshua Yousef thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it!
@Ari Samuel Happy to help :)
It looks amazing. What's difference between DeltaMush to Skin and Weight Pro? It seems both are skinning correction tool.

Replace and remove proxy button is not working for me
Thank you but how to install it in 2021? It gives an error message at load
Hi, thanks for letting me know. I've just updated the file on my website, please download the demo again.

as far as I see, I guess, the two kind of theory are the same.

Hi, it should work with CAT bones as well. Please send me the problematic scene on my email: kamil@km-3d.com , I will take a look on it.
This doesn't seem to work with dummy bones ?
I'm interested to know if you tried it at all with dummy bones, I have really bad small dummy bones to work with

I use it in 3dsmax 2018.
works for maya?
Maya already have it. use BakeDeformTools .
