From the article: A point made in the article highlights the possibility of the Saints moving on from Derek Carr and targeting Dak Prescott. Is this a realistic possibility and what would a move of this magnitude cost for both teams? If the Saints disappoint this season, they likely would end up moving on from Derek Carr, who only has $10 million in guarantees left on his deal after this season. They would struggle to eat the $40 million in dead money from his contract if they trade him after the season, but they could designate him as a post-June 1 release to free up more than $30 million in short-term space. That could come in handy if they decide to try to sign Prescott. Derek Carr is in the same bucket with Kirk Cousins as a lesser, older version of Prescott, albeit with more late-game heroics given his propensity for fourth-quarter comeback victories. His ability to protect the football and avoid turnovers could appeal to the Cowboys if they plan on winning games with their defense, and they should be able to land Carr at about half the price of what they would pay Prescott on a new deal.

Him comparing deck, Prescott to Derek Carr, and their careers is absolutely insane, Jerry Jones has given everything possible to make him successful when he has Ezekiel Elliott beginning of his career with the best line and good receivers pretty good defense compared to what Oakland and Vegas? Good team the 2022 season and that was ruined by McDaniels.
Carr will play well for the next 7-10 years for the Saints.

The Bears are a good example, they drafted Trubisky at number 2 overall and got back to being mediocre, then moved on drafted Fields in the top 10, now they drafted Caleb Williams, First overall.
That’s more than a decade of being really bad, one season of making the playoffs, this is how rebuilds typically go.
It’s funny that Moscona and people like him think, you just blow it up, draft your franchise QB and your good to go for 20 years.
Heck, there are teams that have NEVER even played in a Super Bowl.

Derek Carr is not going to get traded to Dallas. No way in hell. Jerry Jones knows he messed up paying Prescott in the last contract he signed. Prescott is overrated and will never be better than Carr. Just watch how Carr carves up the NFL this season. This year the Saints go deep in the playoffs. Watch the Raiders vs. Cowboys in 2021 on Thanksgiving, then tell me who is better. Needless to say Carr was eating the turkey legs not Dak.
When Carr played with the Raiders, his defense was 30th! look it up. when he had a 19th ranked D they went to the playoffs and then Gruden got fired.
If Carr had been on the Cowboys his entire Career as opposed to the Raiders, there’d be an entirely different impression of Carr. Dak plays in a division where both NY and Was have been terrible for the last decade. That’s 4 guarantee wins every year, as opposed to the AFC west where the Chiefs play, which is about 2 guaranteed losses. Not to mention that up until the last year, the Raiders had a bottom ranked defense year after year.
I'm okay with drafting guys like Haener and Rattler in the 4th and 5th rounds and hoping you strike it rich on the cheap. Draft one every year if you have a spot on the roster for him.
I would take Dak over DC …. Like I said before …. I feel in my gut we will never win a ring with DC ….

That stigma is the worst one regarding Carr. The only time he's ever down 3+ scores is when the offense is struggling, and it doesn't just stop struggling to give him a bunch of empty yards.
He's known for getting his team back into the game (bc his teams historically have the worst defense in the NFL, meaning they're automatically playing from behind if the other team gets the ball 1st).
It's not Carrs fault he was on bad teams. The same exact thing happened to Stafford in Detroit, and they had virtually identical careers with the teams that drafted them. Difference is Stafford went to a loaded team ready to make a SB run, while Carr went to a team with arguably the worst OL in the NFL, a bottom 3 run game, and an OC who didn't know what play action was. No QB was doing well in that situation bud.

All QB's need a good team to win. It's not Carrs fault that nearly every team he's had was seriously flawed to the point of not being a playoff team. Saints had a bottom 3 run game and OL last season, combined with the literal worst OC in the NFL, and you think a QB was going to be successful with that? Interestingly enough, it was Winston who choked the division and playoffs away, Carr would have actually gotten them there if not for getting injured.
Yet, here ppl are, complaining about Carr even tho he would have lead a really bad saints offense to the playoffs last year if not for Winston Choking away a 17-0 lead in the 3rd Quarter. Very few QB's could have played well on the saints offense last season. No run game at all, meaning they had to pass, and defenses knew that.
