fact: A young sick girl requested to have a tea party with her and her dad's favorite qb from their favorite team, the Raiders Derek Carr, not only did he show up, but showed up wearing a tuxedo for her, broken leg and all, point is, DC a leader more ways than none
I am not surprised we don't know about this. DC is so humble. Like that time he helped a guy on the road with his car.

@@blues1j911there is no QB who could have done it, in all fairness to Derek Carr. That organization was a dumpster fire during his tenure. It's not unlike Matthew Stafford with the Lions, who immediately went on to win once he got out of Detroit. I do think that things are looking up for the Raiders with Pierce as the head coach. I truly hope that he finds a QB. It would have been interesting to see what Pierce and Carr could have done together.

DC is really good guy! I've been a Raiders fan for decades and I normally don't get upset with releasing players, but I will never understand why they chose to make that move. I'm glad it ultimately cost the HC & GM their jobs.

I didn't realize the rankings of how bad the Raiders defenses were during Carr's tenure. It's actually amazing that he had the record he had with defenses that bad...
I truly wish DC the BEST, and wish he was still the Raiders starting QB!
Drew Brees was my favorite player of all time but I'm very impressed with Carr's character and leadership. I'm glad he's our QB. Plus he got an arm 💪.😁⚜️💯

The Carr & Crabtree connection was Da bomb!
Crabtree had the best hands....... Loved when we had Coop and Crab. You could even see the difference in pure catching ability from those two and coop. Coop would break ankles but he had nowhere near the skill with catching as Crab. Sadly, we took DHB over Crab in that draft. It would have been awesome to have Crab in his early years.

Saints season literary came down to the 17 point blown 4th quarter VS the Packers AND the Foster Moroe dropped touchdown
When you have the 2nd easiest schedule in the league. A 17 point blown lead and a dropped td should never decide your season.
Both the packers and the Lions made deep runs in the play offs. lol to who they lost close games to.
DC was hurt in that game and Winston blew it
Carr has always been just good enough to get your team beat. Lots of stats in between the 20 yard lines and lots of blown chances for TDs and field goals
@@PopOutPaulieyeah but that’s also a team and coaching failure not a QB failure. You’re ignoring a valid point. The defense blew a lead in a game Derek Carr got taken out of. He did everything to win that game and they lost. But fans blame him for a failed season?
I’ve watched Derek since the Fresno State years because I’m an Alum and I have followed him ever since. It may seem like he struggles in new systems but the fact of the matter is actually building chemistry with his receivers. The secret reason is that he is A HUGE ANTICIPATION PASSER! Think about this… if Carr throws the ball before the receiver even breaks his route THEN the receiver MUST be in his anticipated spot for the ball to be caught. Therefore Derek throws to a spot rather than throws to a receiver. If they are not on the same page, then Derek looks horrible on the play. This was very evident in the first 3/4 of the season! Even Kamara had mentioned it in a presser when he missed his assignment. Derek’s football IQ is probably top notch amongst all QB’s so in my opinion I know he doesn’t struggle learning “New Systems” rather it’s being on the same page with his receivers which takes time to develop. Should we get Hunter Renfrow and Devante Adams it’s a Super Bowl appearance people!
I really like hearing the behind the scene stories. The more and more I watch and listen to Amber I really enjoy her viewpoint and understanding of ball. DC really is a great guy and it was sad the way he went out with our team but it’s a business and he understood that. Another great podcast 💯🙏🏽

Man...Carr is a great guy...and I wish he was on the team right now with AP as head coach and the team heading in the right direction after McDaniel setting fire to the Raiders and scapegoating Carr. I will never forget 2021 when Carr led the Raiders into the playoffs with Rich Bisaccia.

GREAT POD! Derek will always be a Raider. I'm one of the fans that felt we did need to move on, but doesn't mean I don't appreciate all Derek did for the franchise and went through. Dude is a warrior. I feel a lot of fans when it's all said and done will really hold him high in Raiders lure. Hes a Raider through and through and represented the shield the right way. Wish he would have brought us a Super Bowl. Best of luck to him in New Orleans.

Once a raider, always a raider and McDaniel in my opinion, came in to disrupt the momentum of the team and I also feel he sabotaged. DC once a Raider always a Raider in my opinion

Wrong. Carr had a top 10 defense this year and still didn't make it. No matter what pieces are put around Carr, he will not get it done. He doesn't have the mental capacity to win.

Five coaches in the nine years that he played. Each coach had a different offensive scheme. Not a single person(even brady) could have built any type of success with the revolving door of coaches the Raider organization dealt him. In the military we have certain doctrines that remain unchanged to this day. Our personnel are consistently trained in harmony because each cog must run extremely well to achieve victory. Any change is subtle, as to not have an egregious negative effect on the whole. So when you change an entire offensive strategy every two to three years. That is not enough time to promote success. Also, he played through injury(broken finger), and had a broken leg. He was and is a tremendous leader. To say that he was a mediocre quarterback? Is lazy and naïve to any sort of facts. It’s a team effort. Yes. The QB is the field general on offense. But he still takes orders from the HC. It is a Team. Do we honestly think that when a team loses, the following film sessions are all of what the QB did wrong? It’s a Team. It’s about what they didn’t do to enable a victory. Stats are stats. You can’t create a statistic for leadership. With that being said. DC is a top QB in the league. He needs a strong consistent foundation of a team. With all the pieces in place. They don’t have to be the greatest. They have to be good and consistent. All of the pieces. Quit the trash talk. Once a Raider. Always a Raider.

You don't treat a 9 yr vet like they did. For all of the dysfunction he put up with for yrs and did it like a pro. I'm glad he got out of there. I'm sure he feels a tremendous amount of weight lifted from his shoulders. He's had to explain the dysfunction for far to long.
I can't wait for the 2024 season - DC is going to take the Saints where I always hoped he would take my Raiders. I have never had two favorite teams before, but do now, for at least as long as DC is the Saints QB.

Hope Saints cut toxic ass Michael Thomas and Jameis and get this man a real O-line. Carr was getting pressured waaaaay too much this season as evidenced by 2 concussions, 3 broken ribs and 2 ac joint sprains. Still led the league in tuddies (15) for the last 6 games.

He's a competitor that thinks even if he's injured, he can still put them in a position to win. That doesn't mean it's always the best decision, but it does show heart and determination.

Started following the raiders few years before they drafted Carr. Been a huge fan of Carr and flew from Sydney to LA to watch him and the raiders play 2 games , week 1 against the rams and week 2 against the cardinals - unfortunately due to McDaniels we lost them two game 😂🤦🏽♂️. I’ll be heading to New Orleans this year to watch DC vs the Raiders! Great pod cast, GO DC4!!

I know it may not sound politically correct, but I'm one of those guys that typically assumes a woman doesn't know what she talking about on sports shows. You've 100% earned my respect this year and I consider you the woman that I respect the most in sports analysis. Gruden wasn't just flattering you. You're definitely top of your class. 👍 You always have great takes and whenever you're against on radio shows like with your boy q, and you give thanks that I always find refreshingly strong and consistent.

@@ambertheoharis16 I think the stigma is so prevalent because a lot of the female analysts that get hired at big networks are just pretty faces who are conversational and not so much wise in what they're talking about.
The same can be said about some of the men honestly. Some networks just want a good TV personality who doesn't really know anything that he's talking about. I really like Kay Adams as well. MJ Acosta is pretty smart too.

So many dysfunctional years in Oakland (Which i wont say was his fault) But then He comes to New Orleans and we have arguably one of the most dysfunctional years since the early 00's. Even last year we had pretty much the same team and HC and there wasnt this much dysfunction. Even the years losing Yrs with Sean. There wasnt this much dysfunction. Now here comes Derek and the Saints look like a clown organization. Shit is just weird
