- This video is a Montessori inspired toddler learning busy bin/ box video. Come along with me and see how I put these bins together to keep my toddlers entertained. I'm a homeschooling mom of 4 and it can definetely be challenging sometimes. This has really helped us keep the toys to a minimum and keep the little ones busy.

These are really great ideas and am always looking for different ways to keep my toddler entertained. Don't really have a system yet but now that it is warm outside we go outside and he plays with his water activity table. I have filled it with water beads to switch it up and he absolutely loves it. Mom of 3 boys , two teenagers and a toddler so these videos definitely help. Thanks for sharing

Wish I found this sooner. I've got a 4yr old, 3yr old, 2yr old and due in 6 weeks.
They all want to do the same thing at the same time but have different skill levels and when one is very focused on building for example, and the youngest doesnt have that skill yet and is wanting to knock it down.... you can see the meltdowns happening. I love having the kids things separated... and I love the closet of toys. I've downsized my kids things a lot, but it still manages to get all over the house. I think i want to see if this will work for us :)

I wish I had implemented more of these things with my youngest two.. I was so young and clueless. I loved on them and snuggled them to pieces, read to them ect but wish I could go back and do MORE. I often feel my first two didn’t get enough of the Mom I am now. These little boxes are so cute and fun 💕

This is such of an inspiring video! I was looking for links to some of the products ( particularly the walkawalks( sp?) and the wonder paint. I think my daughter would love those. As a preschool teacher (and mom) I appreciate your busy boxes because they are age appropriate. So many people have videos for busy bins and bags that are not developmentally appropriate for the ages the video is about. Often they are pushing skills like letters and numbers that don’t need to be taught at 2 years old.

I love this system, Lorna!!! I’ve been purging toys and clothes this week, trying to figure out how to minimize the crazy in this house. The kids don’t play with much of anything when it’s all accessible. I am going to try this rotating system for my toddler and would love to see a video for what you do for your older kids!

I need to be more like you 😩 I love your organization and ideas! You’re so smart lady. My parents were never involved in my life besides feeding me, it’s been hard to learn how to put more work into my daughter because no one ever cared enough to work on me. She’s 27 months old and is so smart! I’m determined to buy more learning toys you have listed for her. Also another baby girl due in 3 months! I just recently found you on UA-cam looking for Disney land hacks, they are super helpful as well. I went for the first time with my daughter alone while my husband is still deployed. I completely understand Christina. I didn’t really have parents around they cared about teaching me either. I pretty much had to teach myself everything. Looking at this AGAIN ! And I had to pull out the old paper made flash cards. We have studies tomorrow ! Including baby boy. On my breaks from work (i work from home) I will focus on teaching little by little. Got to keep my kids brains🧠 going !

I love this idea! I feel like I’ve been doing these activities with my babies but combining them into one container is genius! So much easier to pull out or take with me when I bring them to my office at work. ❤️❤️ my 4 year old is on summer break from preschool so I copied their “kuleana” chart. Kuleana means responsibility in Hawaiian and it essentially has different chores she can do around the house and since she’s used to this system from school she has fun using it at home.

Wow love this wish I had an extra closet to do it exactly like you but I’m gonna definitely take some ideas and I’ll definitely be investing in a mat like that (I cut open a garbage bag on the kitchen floor for her sensory time and I definitely don’t do it enough but she knows only in the bag ) 👶🏻

Thank you so much. The busy Benz is all we do with the toddler’s for now. We don’t do an official preschool. I start with kindergarten. They do a lot of learning and things around the house because they have older siblings. But anytime I do Learning activities I will be sure to post them friend.

@@AlwaysLornaMarie I would say my boy. My girls are a HANDFUL. They're so sassy 🤣 But they each have their moments. I think my boy is easier because he's the baby and the only boy and entertains himself with literally ANYTHING. He's 2, so his "terrible twos" are more explorative than anything. And I have no idea why I'm agreeing to my husband's proposal, but we may try for another baby next year 🤣🤣 As if I don't have enough now 😂🤭
I wish I wod would have seen this video a few years ago. I have a 3yr old and 4yr old. Girl all they do is is get in trouble together. Its almost like im yelling more then I should. Im definitely gonna get started on this whole entire system this week.

When using the alphabet flashcards the Montessori method stresses the sounds the letters make, before teaching the name of the letter.

I dont have kids yet but was so interesting to watch and great to gather ideas for the future. Never heard of the busy bin. Are these the only toys your kids get on that day? Hi there Edna! Yes to keep clutter and toys from being overbearing around the house they only get to play with the one box. If they get bored we can always play outside or watch a movie. At the end of the video I showed my toy closet there was some bins at the very top. I sometimes switch it out if I feel it’s necessary. Every few months I will rotate things. Thanks for watching!

Yaass. Something different for them to do every day. It’s definitely a challenge entertaining these two little monsters. I would just have a large playpen area lots of snacks and lots of toys.

How about kinetic sand for one of the sensory bins? I love to play with that myself and I’m 37 haha or now they have play doh or slime with little things inside like buttons and stuff and the kids have to find them and pull them out. I’ve seen occupational therapists use that at work.
