    Yesterday I bought my toddler the animals you recommended. I made a photo on the white background of each of them and printed them out and then laminated. This is an awesome game for us now! Thank you for recommending! ❤️

    These are such great ideas! I purchased the animal figurines and some of the realistic books and these are some of my son's favorite. Another thing that I would add to this list is a drum! My 11 month old baby loves the drum that I purchased for him from Amazon. Playing with his drum is one of his daily activities!

    Thank you SO Much 😊 I wanted to know about Montessori life style and you are introducing me so good to this. As a Latin Community we kind to do Some of it but we don’t have a really hard theory based. I also wanted this for my children (I only have 1 at this moment) and now that there is a based for this. I am not hesitate to do it!

    Another great video! I really love this series and I’m so glad you’re sharing what you’ve already learned. I’ve been looking into Montessori a lot more lately and most of it really aligns with The way Dallas and I parent already so we’ll be doing some fun transitions of the next month to get are home more “Montessori friendly”. So glad to have a gift guide now!! 💛

    Informative video, as always, Mummy Ashley! :D I would suggest some very basic materials/things to gift to a toddler... give them anything Practical... Materials to be used for cleaning maybe like a set of Broom, Dust pan, Mop, duster, etc... Even a mortar and a pestle will go far already... :) Yes to Practical Life Activities :)

    just join your channel, love the videos. I am planning sleep/play room makeover for my young toddler. Does the play room shelf has to be 8 cubes? montessori method? thank you.

    • @HapaFamily
      @HapaFamily  5 років тому

      No, absolutely not. It doesn’t even have to be cubes. As long as it’s open and low enough for the child to independently access, it will work! 🥰

    Just a general question when you have a birthday party for your daughter how to do encourage guest in purchasing these types of toys ?

    • @HapaFamily
      @HapaFamily  5 років тому +3

      If it’s someone I’m really comfortable with (like my mom, for example) I made it very clear that I’d rather her money be spent on Montessori-style toys and activities. I even gave her a link to my wishlist on Amazon so she could get ideas. For people who are perhaps less familiar with our parenting style, I just take anything that’s purchased for her that’s NOT something I really want her to have and I store it away most of the time, but I’ll take it out for “special occasions” if they come over for a visit.

    • @Montessoriathome_
      @Montessoriathome_ 5 років тому

      Hapa Family I love this suggestion ! My daughters 1st birthday is coming up and that you said I’d rather get open ended toys which is what we’ve been investing in I just don’t know how to tell the guest who don’t understand

  • @amandahayes581
    @amandahayes581 5 років тому +1

    What do you do in the circumstance where your child is gifted a toy that doesn't quite align with the Montessori principles that you're implementing in your home? I'm curious as to how to manage that situation. I know it is best to follow the child and his/her likes regardless of the toy. Thanks!

    • @HapaFamily
      @HapaFamily  5 років тому +2

      You can always store it away in a special box that perhaps only comes out when those visitors are over? It’s up to you in the end!

    • @yurjhr1662

      They become car toys for us. She rarely goes on car rides, and when she does its usually a long trip. So she has some montessori toys, but when in dire need we pull out the light up toys.

    • @HapaFamily

      Haha, middle school! But if I ever taught in a Montessori school, I think I’d want to be certified in the 0-3 age group. I’m a little crazy, I think.. lol 😏

    Schleich is actually pronounced differently
    The 'ch' ist not pronounced Like a K.. but i dont have examples on how to pronounce it right... :/
    German is hard to describe 🤔
