The film: a masterpiece! This review: a horrible spoiler in the first few seconds.
Great job spoiling the ending there, Scott.
Bro I feel so bad for anyone who hasn’t watched the movie and clicked on this video 🤣 Still, Brazil is one of my all time favorite films.
Yeah it’s a major fail that New York Times titles these videos as “Critic Picks”. Instead they should be called “Quick Analysis” Lol
looks weird and stupid
Masterpiece. The best dystopian of all time.
One of the true greats. Untouchable by time.
I'm definitely not the first to say this, but you ruined the ending within the first 25 seconds! :(
One of the greatest & most brilliant films of all time.
"Blade Runner is the great last movie that used practical effects".
Forget about it.
This is one of the last one :D
Horray for spoiling ending within first 20 seconds.
I know, right? That was downright unethical.

@Julian Borges UA-cam does that with my comments sometimes. No idea why.
@Julian Borges LOL
Also my favourite movie , the movie is music for the eyes.
My favorite movie of all time.
This film really showcases Terry Gilliam's genius.
A masterpiece. So beautiful. One of the greatest films ever made.
Down right most surprising thing about this movie was robert de niro
The Brazil is now!
mass shootings take place of the terrorist attacks that no one pays any attention to, so yea, i think we may be there
"my complication had a little complication''.
A beautiful, haunting film
It's possibly one of my favorite movies of all time but there's no terrorism going on. It's bureaucracy taken to ridiculous levels and the ducts exploding because nobody is able to get their hands on a 27B-6 to fix them.
In homage to Orwell, 27b slash 6 is Winston Smith's apartment number.
+Steve Sargent I honestly didn't know that. I read 1984 when I was 14 so it's been a while. Thanks for that.
damm. right .. also so many technology mishaps happen in a movie..
Thank you comment section for saving me from the spoiler.
Vi apenas um trecho e me precipitei.
Come to Brazil
The movie is 1984 with bureaucracy taking the place of force. What I learned - by chance - watching an interview with a guy who worked with Gillian is that he knew Brazil and had visited here many times ... so probably he was aware of Ministry called "The National Debureaucratization Ministry" that was created by the end of the 1964 regime. One of their great feats: removing the photo com the driver's license and, therefore, making mandatory for drivers to carry two documents: the driver's license and a photo ID. Some 20 years later the photo went back to the driver's license that is now accepted as a photo ID.
Brazil is, since my mom was born, "the land of the future". That was in the early 1940s. The idea actually starts around that time when Brazil enters WWII to fight besides the allies. I hope someday it will stop being that - but not because it became a helpless country. BTW, that idea was not the moto of the 1964 regime - they had the moto "Brazil: Love it or leave it!". From a lecture by the late Prof. Zinn that I saw yesterday, I learned it was also used in the US: Zinn would often hear: go back to where you came from! And he would reply: "Brooklyn?"
lmao, that moto reminded me of that time the lebanese president said "if you dont like this country, leave it"
Hey, at least our politicians dont lie
@moimaian Nossa, nao viaja cara. Vc nao entendeu nada desse vídeo, certo? É fruto do imaginário.
@Derl30 gostei deci
Idiotic choice by whoever edited this to show spoiler-laden footage from the last scene.
