as a former pupil of Southwell minster grammar school, I used to love our assemblies in the quire of the minster. To walk past the minster on the way to lunch at home as the bells played the tune 'Southwell' is something I will never forget.
I remember the minister as a cub scout on St George's Day and then seeing it when my son played rugby in the background when he played on the minister school pitches. It's great to have fond memories that include the minister - thanks for watching
Sitting in Cape Town enjoying being transported back to Southwell. 1st visit June 2022, 2nd December 2023. Cant wait to visit again. Very special village & beautiful Minster. Thanks for all the history 🙏🤗
Great history in this one, Andy. Interesting watch from beginning to end. Going to have to get myself over to that side of Nottinghamshire for an explore.
Hi Anthony, the more the walk around Nottinghamshire the more I find out, which is starting to become a series of walks in the county - I have an interesting one that I am walking round in the next few days. that caps most of my historical walks

There certainly was something special about playing Rugby (and cricket) with the Minster in the background.@@ExpeditionHiker
