@ervinslens Thank you comments like that. Gives me the push to do another walk, as for some reason, all these youtubers seem to say they take an hour or 2 to edit a video, where mine take about 15 to 20 hours for each one 🤔😀
@@ExpeditionHiker No one can say how much it takes to edit a video. Not all content is the same, for example, it takes a lot more time to edit a cinematic hiking video than a vlog recording, not to mention the narration. My hiking video takes between 7 and 15 hours of editing with image calibration and everything else that must be in the video.
@@ervinslens mine take on average about 20 hours to edit, but that includes cross referencing all the history sources and find appropriate other media I add into the videos
Great vlog! Ive been to Luds Church, The Roaches and 3 Shires Head (on separate walks though lol!) All stunning and highly recommended, I really must go again and Solomons Temple is now on the list! 🙂 Loved Dovedale too! I whole heartedly agree about the littering, if I live to be a 1000 years old I will never understand the mentality!!!
Loved watching this video, and thanks for all the information/ history, you have inspired me now to spend a day exploring Buxton Town centre, thanks again and all best wishes to you x
@dellabestwick5668 Buxton is a nice place, plenty of history, I would suggest mid week to go as was very busy plus don't forget to have a Buxton Rascal when there, and try the Buxton brewery beers, which are all named by local places
Nice vid that, love the history and a cracking route!!!. Roaches is a great area, I used to live in wildboarclough so always up there and three Shires head given the chance.
Thanks for the video .Will be around there later this month doing a circular from hen cloud .It's great you doing the route, and it shows real comitmant doing the camera work, retrieving it between shots .Take care with that knee, and wish you well 😊
@kevinpounder well it ended up being a good lengthy day walk, 17.9 miles not my original idea of 12 or 13, plus there's the youtube miles, backwards and forwards collecting the camera, so no wonder my knees were aching as think I was close to 20.5 miles overall lol
@RosemaryWilliamson-wc4ef I forgot all about him, until someone reminded me on Facebook, I am goingvto do a separate video on the Hut so will be sure to mention him then - thanks
@craigbarlow7835 Thanks for watching, a long but good route to do (except the flying ants) at three shires head - I got bitten alive - about 50 bites overall!!
@mj-cd9lk thanks - A slight pause in videos at the moment as I have my knee surgery next week. Once I able to, I will resume editing as will be off work for 3 months
Thanks for adding my son Kai and nethew Micheal to your video there over the moon with it when I showed them . Also what is your tent a d would you recommend? My one man condenses up pretty quickly have you an other in mind if not yours ?
@seanevans8424 hi, I am glad they liked it, I vet they told their friends at school, the tent is a lanshan pro 2 by 3F UL gear, it is a trekking pole tent, but only needs 8 pegs and weighs 900 grams, great for me being tall, I have done a review on it on my channel take a look and should make you decide? It is not a winter tent though, for winter I use an ordos 2 by alpkit, a voyager by wild country and the viso 2 also by alpkit
Beautiful walk, love hearing all the history, you have inspired me to get out more, love the peck district.
@Gettinglostwithlea Thanks, well the Peak District is a great place for long and short walks, I have another longer one I am walking soon
Such a amazing presentation, this place looks stunning!

Hi pal, it Chris the bloke with the two terriers you were talking to at the top of the roachers and Luds Church.
I'm enjoying watching your video.
@@christopherbaldwin7757 hi was great to meet you, I hope you enjoyed the full video? Keep on walking
Loved the video but you didn't mention Doug mollen lord of the roaches who lived in that walking hut

Lovely video thank you and nice to learn about some extra routes around the Roaches

@ExpeditionHiker good to know as based on your video I'll be having a walk to three shires head. Thanks
Lucky the ants only come flying well 1 day a year but I have seen them in July and aaugust this year @craigbarlow7835
Another brilliant video. Love the roaches, had no idea about the history though with the zoo 😮
I’ve subbed anyway mate as loving your content so far 😊

Nice walk that Andy, cheers. Never done that one!
@mrjiggs3761 thanks - ir is worth doing even if it just hen cloud, the Roaches and luds curch then go back as a circular route
