Very timely for me. I played this video as I did exactly the same from my M1 iPad Pro 12.9 to my new M4 iPad Pro 13 via direct connect since I have to go broadband for internet access. The one really helpful comment was to put the old iPad to sleep and wake it up if. you lose the connection - Very important piece of info and the one issue I ran into.
Does anybody else think the 12.9 M1 iPad Pro to the new 13” iPad Pro was actually kind of a meh upgrade? I got mine today and I was kind of disappointed it wasn’t more “better”. Don’t get me wrong. The OLED looks good and everything but it’s not that much of an improvement over the mini LED. The only time I actually noticed the difference is when I’m watching a movie where I don’t have the black bars, but other than that, the brightness feels exactly the same and color saturation looks the same. It’s nice that it’s thinner, but I would’ve rather had battery life! I don’t know this is just my overview. I don’t know if I’m keeping it, I think it’s just too expensive for not enough improvements over the previous 2 iterations.
It's because all that power of the Apple Silicon since the M1 is not utilize because of the IpadOS. As of this time the M2 chip or even the M1 is more than enough. I'm due to replace my Ipad Pro 10.5 (2017). I am considering to buy the Ipad Pro M2.
@@gwvaioyou assume the OP knew. Maybe he didn’t. I’ve seen a lot of people see the presentation by Apple and expect more of a difference because those presentations are optimized to make the difference more pronounced. This is an age old marketing tactic that Apple has used for decades and has worked well. Ironically I went to a local Best Buy to see the screen difference and was not one bit surprised to see that they don’t have any Mini LED iPad versions in stock to actually compare against the new screens. Fortunately I’ve managed to find a few direct comparison videos and have decided it’s not enough to get me to move from my current M1 12.9 to the new M4 13”.
Great timing for your video. I’m receiving my wife’s new iPad Air 11 tomorrow and I’m buying my iPad in store and trading in my both our iPads. So I’ll be using both processes 👍🏻. Thanks for making this video 👍🏻🙂
Thanks a lot. If I don’t have a predecessor iPad but an iPhone that I want to run parallel to my new iPad, is the process the same? Is it possible to have some apps synced? How would I do that? I hope someone knows more as I have never had an iPad before.
I hope to review it soon, but if your current ipad isnt slow and meets your needs, than maybe not. If you like newer, faster, prettier things, go for it.
When I migrated / transferred from my iPad mini to my Pro M2, I lost the Pro wallpaper (the one on the box), did I do something wrong? I’m going to get the new Air 13” and don’t want the same thing to happen. Any advice?
Yes, the built in ones are device specific, although just a simple google search for "iPad Air 2022", or whatever, wallpaper will let you easily download it.
About to transfer to new iPad Pro and at the PIN number stage of your instructions it shows 4 places for passcode? I don’t know about a 4 number passcode, on my old iPad it is 6 numbers? You called it a PIN code AND a passcode. 73 y/o female here trying to set up a device for the first time. This part is confusing.
Don't get hoped the fact is apple is behind like 1920 in the game of technology and they will always be sad to say probably when samsung dex makes applications like logic and final cut apple will be done and this will happen because apple doesn't invent anything new they copy and add a spin to it 😉 save your money apple is a scam m1 m2 m3 m4 now what exactly are you paying for a slightly faster ? You can just save your money this why I didn't buy a Mac studio because of apples 😒 constantly changing so why buy anything when it is going to be absolutely out dated from the same manufacturer and it will be caped for the older models to make sure that you buy a new system and apps created that won't work with the pervious version of the hardware don't make the same mistakes of throwing your money away we need a real reason to justify why is anyone spending money with this company it time to wake up
Holy cow are you aging in reverse? Lookin fresh! :) Oh and yeah I'm very excited about the new iPad Pro. Just got mine too and LOVE THIS SCREEN!
Thanks, wife tired of me shaving.
@@JerrySchulze haha well, keep this up cuz ya look great. Thanks for all your great videos too btw :)

Glad it helped
😅waiting for new iPad. Thanks for your help today.

I understand what you’re saying but you knew all that before you purchased.

Can you use old iPad Pro’s case to new one ?
Experienced it yesterday. The case from the iPad 11 Pro M2 not only fits the width of the iPad 11 Pro M4 - OtterBox.
now which is faster one , direct icloud backup download or direct wifi for both devices
What about migrating from iPhone 15 pro to the Ipad M4 without iCloud?
I have the iPad Pro 11 2nd generation. Feel like I need to upgrade it, before they might take it off the IOS upgrade list. What’s your thoughts?

What we really want to see…DOES IT BEND!!!!???😮😮😮
Thank you Jerry! I'm very conflicted between a 1Gig M4 pro, and an M2max Studio.
That’s a big question. Not sure I know the answer to it right now.
What’s next for this iPad? iPad giveaway? 😂
