I'm not even interested in owning a RV but compelled to watch this entire video because of the excellent talent coming from this dynamic duo. Very informative and well done.
1st, the Knocked Down song is Chumbawamba, no Smashmouth! 😄 All that storage and counter space is really great. I like the door placement so the passenger seat reclines. I love the lightning over the cabinets. The bathroom is VERY nice and I like that there is still plenty of walk room around the bed when it’s down. I don’t like the dinette and I’d get it without the microwave. Going that low would kill my knees. I’m also not a fan of that stove top. Everything else looks so great! The things I don’t like are not deal breakers. They knocked this one out AND what an awesome review. Side note, the painting just doesn’t look complete. It looks like someone drew it, and then just put it up on the wall. The framing could be better.
Change the microwave with the cabinet above the stove. Underneath cabinet large like it is would hold cooking utensils pans and so on. Microwave on top. Older people can't bend like that.
We owns a 2018 25.4 Axis. Respectfully I kind of like it better because, the 25.4 have a private non retractable bedroom. It is 27.7 so it’s a little bigger but not too much. Also the dining table is for 4 people and it convert to a full bed. I am surprise how up the MSRP have come. Still this one looks awesome.
You know, given this is a murphy bed layout, I don't dislike it. They put a lot of thought into what goes where. The TV across from the sofa / bed is an example of what I'm talking about.
Those things used to sell for about 75K. I would pay the sell price but they are crazy to even advertise that MSRP. As a single person, due to the extra table, I could make the dinette into a permanent bed and then keep the Murphy Bed up. Perhaps that is why they include the extra table.
I think if you took out the dinette, or modified it to be out of the way of the bed, the Murphy bed could be down with the slide in.... A great thing if the slide becomes problematic.... Bu the way, I like that there is a window at the head of the bed.
Why put a window behind the murphy bed? It will only be seen when you are going to sleep. It also means that there is no headboard to use for such things as reading in bed. Tv is also too high. Price is ok but not great.
Keep the good job. Regarding this floorplan and similar ones, why put the entry door I front of the bed!? It's simply not the best, if one wants to sleep in, etc.
We love the Axis. Our dislike is the table holes in front of the Murphy bed. To me it's just something for me to trip over because I'm clumsy. I'd rather see them remove those completely and just put a small folding table in the to use if needed. It would then be multi function to use outside or if needed on a rainy day inside. But if Thor just wanted to save money and not included a table at all for the sofa/Murphy bed area I'd e fine with that because we'd still have the dinette and picnic table outside
We have the 2022 Vegas 24.3. We don't trip on the table leg"holes" at all. The table makes it convenient if you want to eat or snack while watching TV.
I thought same thing. They don't need to be there. Ruins the aesthetics to me and how can you walk past that sofa table while up? If we bought it we would tear out dinette and add TV fireplace with a custom lift top coffee table 😊
My biggest gripe about this unit is the microwave at my knees - come on Thor, give us an option to not have to lay on the ground to use our microwave/oven! Make the unit 6'+ friendly!
Hi Matt Andrea! Very nice Thor Axis fir as small as it is. My likes are the bathroom, the storage and the couch across from the tv. My dislikes are the curtain in the shower, the location of the micro wave, and the dinette. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Hi!!! Holy Moly!!! 25 feet and A-Dorable!!! I love the windshield and the storage is insane!!! This could be for a couple or for a family of 3 with the little bed/table. So cool.
I like it a lot. Got a prime pooping position, that’s great for a stubby little coach. And, the sliding bathroom door closed would have given more space. Cool.
Lol, I’ve been watching a long time, Andrea really doesn’t like the majority of all valances, only likes the very simple plain, no pattern, the rest I figure she just tolerates lol. Goofy having her disapprove/approve them knowing this. I’m sure it’s Matt’s idea for her to do this. 🍻
While my class C is only 6 inches longer, it has much more outside storage and a separate sleeping area. Our overhead bunk can hold 800 pounds. The Axis/Vegas looks to be good for a couple and plenty of interior storage for extended periods from home. The dinette isn’t big enough for a family. You would have to have people to eat in separate places and not really “sitting around the table” unless you eat outside at a picnic table that is available at most campground sites.
Nice n different. I would have to say it’s now my fav for MH this size. Great storage cabinets with adjustable shelves👍🏻; looks like u could ‘just barely’ put the bed down with slide in, if so, good if it can; great windows all over n like the decor. Can’t even tell it has a bed over the cab, nicely compact. This would be the first convection microwave i could actually see the whole inside n the turntable, lol 👍🏻. But, I’m tired of slide n tpo maintenance, other than that, i love it. 🍻
Very cute. Im looking to retire early sell my house and looking for a full time RV Love that its 25ft. I also am one that loves the Murphy bed. And love the storage, and love the white. I dont dislike anything wish in back a large all the way through storage like the class C's for lawn chairs etc. and price would come back down some 103 is good but could go down more. I do really like this home.
This is the best floor plan and color and length I like so far in all of these Axis or Vegas homes...3 concerns...AC being strong enough,,,,always the ? the non 50 amp deal...and 10 gal or new continuous hot water heater not 6 and making it a bit higher clearance for parks and campground roads of imperfection.... Change the shower curtain to a flexible door. Love all the things you love..thank you!! What I want except concerns...no more than a few inches above 25 feet and not 24 or 26...Park I want to go to in Oregon requires 25 feet and this is perfect because I am nervous enough learning 25 at present but can quick learn that over 30 or 32..I drove a suburban in HS. I think the deal is the 2 kid family..this allows for kid number one on bunk...2 on booth and mom and dad on a real bed..no cut in half mattress and with a family that is a fabulous bathroom...bed is really always mostly made in all but the booth...big like. Baby bears porridge...the couch being theater seats but you do get nice sitting chairs front that swivel and if 3 people maybe all could do couch or pull out bed for the movie...and one on best driver chair to see...love the sensor awning and what is on roof with ac and good fan,,,with 4..all can have nice seating room for rainy day dining. Truly you can be wish and have room for everyone..we never camped in a trailer growing up in more than 25 feet...I think the 70's Winnebego to Disney may have been a tad longer but no more than 30 methinks and way worse bathroom and sleep sharing bed situations for 6. Would like better black splash..think many adjustment could be made just leaving the furniture as is..it is truly a wonderful amt of room for one or two and you feel like a real A. I just love how many little things you can get..drive one thing...and all until ready to pull and have little antique and thrift find room...I love doing that. Love taupy creamy colors over grey all the time too much and wallpaper..just an affordable little bit elegant current level of design I like and an almost A and no dumb areal main bed like the short Treks or few B's. The bunk is fine...and looks like you can improve on mattresses a tiny bit thicker later but they look like better foam. Like the current gel coat. OH, also with tables as they are...three people can have a working space..2 can share booth or longer table for all 4 having a study puter spot...the main thing...4 people could pack smartly and have enough room for kitchen and bath and cook and dine and relax and work stuff and make it for 4 days to a week...one or two could small size full time but be in roomiest place without the bigger A class and the smaller things that always an issue....the most awesome and 25 foot almost A like these so far...and think higher clearance than some vans and small van chassis B plus/C's.
My 3 likes are the size of the bathroom, lots of storage, and good counterspace. Three dislikes are the placement of microwave (I'm old, bending is not easy), shower curtain, small dinette.
It's funny you said another dealer will laugh at you when you mention a price. I actually called Sunshine State rv for class b before going to general rv to get mine. I said I'd be willing to do 125k on one since they are alot closer...they literally did laugh and say that's not possible sorry. General rv does have one advantage and that's massive volume and buying power that small dealers just can't do.
I would write a check on this one if the microwave could be moved to replace a upper cabinet. I believe the microwave is the most used appliance in the kitchen and for a senior to get down on his knees to heat up food is totally unacceptable. Other than that I like this unit !!!
I am same height (5ft4in) as Matt and I DONT want a microwave above my head to get a piping hot bowl of soup and risk bad burns I'd rather squat and be safe.
It's a nice motorhome and looks great inside I'm just not a fan of anything with a slide because sooner or later it's going to wear out from opening and closing but other than that it looks great
Oh Matt, please don't recommend letting cats sit on dashboard while driving. Not safe for the kitties!😢 And yes, my dog wears a seatbelt when we travel😊
@@MattsRVReviews can u recomend me the shortest class c or A, I prefer C tho, with washer dryer, I dont mind combo. And 1 and a half baths, tho I prefer 2 full baths, even two full wet baths are still I think better than 1 and a half, I dont think I can live with only 1 full bath. I wanted to ask for a dish washer but I get it, that would probably the least urgent
They should have put the microwave up higher. I really think they could have made it a foot shorter without losing anything. Put another captain's seat instead of the dinette.
I went and looked at one of these last weekend. It was falling apart. Lot of particle board and faulty screws. Of course dealer said they would fix it. Had it marked down to 100K, still just could not pull the trigger. Might be done looking a Thor.
We like things about the Ekko too but the Vegas/Axis is so spacious inside. The bathroom is huge and bright. Even the medicine cabinet behind the mirror is double deep. The Ekko seems like it is better insulated and better for off road adventures. We love the huge windshield but it does let in a lot of heat even with the shade down.
I love it but the placement of the convection microwave might cause me to pass. I have a bad back and I’d have to interrupt my husband every time something had to be put in and taken out. I’ve seen Murphy beds with reclining sofas or at least footrests under the sofas. I wish Thor would use those. The extra table would be put to use depending in the height. I could sew in one spot and husband could be on the computer. He works remotely so he’d be in either space at any given time.
The 2020 version you did 3 years ago had a rear bed that gave you a it more flexibility in sleeping while moving ( I don’t recommend it) but it gave you that option.
There are at least three versions of the Axis/Vegas - all with different layouts and lengths. I think it's the 24.1 that has a rear bedroom but we hated the shower. It was a bathroom mid-Coach, fine, but the tiny corner shower without doors would have water everywhere in our opinion.
This would be 110% perfect (for us) if it came with the 3-burner/oven and micro over the top (instead of the top cabinet). That would still leave 4 FULL cabinets (8 doors total) across the kitchen and dinette. With all that space, I can't think of why they didn't include the 3-burner/oven combo like so many other smaller RV's that make it fit.
I bought a Thor citation Mercedes’ sprinter back in 2016, last of the 2015. After about three years the insides and outsides, starts to crack. If you can’t put them out of sun and weather you will have problems. Too high.
Things we don't like in our 2022 Vegas 24.3: Having to sit on a step stool to even read the convection micro controls let alone use it. Lack of a rear ladder and yet the Axis has a rear ladder!?! Horrible shower curtain. We want a shower door!!!!!! Thor, can a door be added? Please!?! Can you add one if we stop by? Lack of outside storage. It needs to sit a little higher. Pluses: I believe I counted 31 interior cabinets in our Vegas!! Amazing but can be easy to overload in weight. Great size!!
Yes, we have 31 interior spacious cabinets. The amount of space in the medicine cabinet is spectacular! We agree 1,000% with your comments!!!!!! Microwave location too low to read!!! We really want a shower door! Outside storage is pitiful. Why do some units have a larger storage compartment on the outside slider and yet ours do not? Why don't we have a ladder???? I was told there was a ladder shortage and to have a tech check to see if the wall reinforcments are there before attempting to add a ladder????? The dining table in front of the sofa does not get in the way. There is plenty of room to walk by. It is nicer to use while watching TV and doing computer or paperwork. We wish the front roll down windshield screen were insulated from heat and cold. It is light and bright inside. We hope it holds up to full time on the road!
Axis... Access. BTW... Ford provides an E-350 "stripped chassis" vs a "cutaway chassis" (class C) to build these, thus nothing to "tear down". So Thor builds the entire front end, just like on a stripped F53 chassis.
Nice RV, but a lot of wasted space in front, Dash is huge. Make smaller dash, move seat closer and have more living space. I like the look of the RV otherwise. But not a big fan of those fold down couch beds.
This is my favorite tv show , rv's are probably the coolest thing of all time . Matt never gets boring
That's for sure! I love watching this channel too!
All these fiberglass boxes are at least priced double. Wake up!
So, look for used!
Thank you so much! ❤
Like me the coolest thing of all the time rvs because I like them so so much!!!! 😊❤

…been gone for a few weeks… back watching your great reviews. This looks easy to drive…
The drawer below the microwave is huge and fits pots and pans.

I'm going to grab me one if these! I love that cockpit. I'm single, but that passenger side work station would be great when parked.
You were both wrong about the song. It's Chumbawumba, and it's called "Tubthumping".
Also, I'd gut the sofa and murphy bed and throw in a day bed.
You know, given this is a murphy bed layout, I don't dislike it. They put a lot of thought into what goes where. The TV across from the sofa / bed is an example of what I'm talking about.

I really like the AXIS/VEGAS.......no faults for me! ANDREA looks as pretty as always! Matt......well Matt is just Matt!!! LOL!!!!
Thanks so much 🤗
Thanks Matt
Thank you!!
Does that 25' count the cab ? Can you get it with larger tires to increase the ground clearance ?
Yes including the cab
I love it but the placement of the convection microwave might cause me to pass. I have a bad back and I’d have to interrupt my husband every time something had to be put in and taken out.
I’ve seen Murphy beds with reclining sofas or at least footrests under the sofas. I wish Thor would use those.
The extra table would be put to use depending in the height. I could sew in one spot and husband could be on the computer. He works remotely so he’d be in either space at any given time.
Thanks for the feedback!
The desk in front of the passenger seat is very large and sturdy and great for work, etc. You can even use it while traveling which is great.
@@kimberleesmith2703 he has a lot of Zoom meetings so I’d be visible puttering around in the RV. Working at a table could keep me out of sight.

Totally agree with your likes and dislikes. Wonderful rv!!
I love this RV perfect size for two! My likes and dislikes are the same, really don't need 2 tables! 😮😊❤
Thanks for watching!
This is my dream home full time. Is there anywhere close to Canada to by one?
I get knocked down is actually Tubthimping by Chumbawamba
Nice rv! And they are both so cute!
I bought a Thor citation Mercedes’ sprinter back in 2016, last of the 2015. After about three years the insides and outsides, starts to crack. If you can’t put them out of sun and weather you will have problems. Too high.
Things we don't like in our 2022 Vegas 24.3:
Having to sit on a step stool to even read the convection micro controls let alone use it.
Lack of a rear ladder and yet the Axis has a rear ladder!?!
Horrible shower curtain. We want a shower door!!!!!! Thor, can a door be added? Please!?! Can you add one if we stop by?
Lack of outside storage.
It needs to sit a little higher.
Pluses:
I believe I counted 31 interior cabinets in our Vegas!!
😂how many times was "do you know what I'm saying" said? 🤣
Lol we should have a competition 😂
Disagree on the negative comment about the table. With the additional table you can entertain more guest. Kudos to Thor!
Axis... Access. BTW... Ford provides an E-350 "stripped chassis" vs a "cutaway chassis" (class C) to build these, thus nothing to "tear down". So Thor builds the entire front end, just like on a stripped F53 chassis.
Thanks for the info!
Nice RV, but a lot of wasted space in front, Dash is huge. Make smaller dash, move seat closer and have more living space. I like the look of the RV otherwise. But not a big fan of those fold down couch beds.
Thanks for the great feedback!
