It's a lovely shawl. I have a request. Could you please do a top down granny stitch top? I just can't seem to find a decent one that's explained properly! I know, should be easy, but I just can't get it right
I have a question what stitch is your gauge in? Is it measured from the shawl or in the stitch on it's own or single crochet? I have the hardest time with pattern gauge for most patterns. I tried to swatch thos one using the column stitch in a square. The hook that matches the gauge best when I do it that way is a 3.5 mm/E hook but the fabric is no longer drapey and too firm when I go that low. I think I may have misunderstood which stitch to swatch it in.

I would love to make this for a gift, out of wool, what would you recommend as a soft yarn to use ?
Any dk or weight 3 yarn will work. Drops Lima or Drops Extra Fine Merino would be lovely. Other good choices are Berroco Vintage, Hobbii Highland Wool xx
