I'm an avid F1 fan, have been for years and I've always kinda written off Nascar as "turning left" but seeing just how busy their hands are in this video even when they're not crashing brings a whole new level of respect. Are they ever *not* on the edge of the envelope on grip?
I use to be the same way until I actually looked into the science of this kind of racing. It definitely requires an immense amount of focus and strategic planning just like F1.
3:07 Thats at Daytona, a turn before where Earnhardt hit, but you see his head jerk forward as soon as he hit the wall? Now imgaine that WITHOUT a face shield/full face helmet head on at 180mph. Thats exactly what happened to Dale Earnhardt at that same exact track. Really gives you an idea of how hard your head jerks forward..
I can't even imagine the sheer horror that goes through the minds of these drivers when the spin out on the track and have no idea when another car going 100 mph is going to slam into them. These are some of the most gutsy people on the planet. All respect.
I think in future the race drivers will be in sim racers, not the physical cars, controlling the race cars. from safety. people will look back on this and say WTH were we thinking. Not hating, thats just what i tihnk will happen. These guys are brave as anything, no way i would want a crash.

You can't see it in this video, but their feet are always very busy as well. The way they work the pedals in the car is fascinating.
They are always on the edge of grip. 3+ hours of on the ragged edge inches away from the other drivers. It's wild

besides straightaways and some of the time superspeedways not really
1:20 is almost to perfect cinematography! 😮
is fake?
@@facundoybalo3589 How would it be fake, my guy? These are all onboard views from the drivers from the race.
"Yellows out, yellows out, back it down, spin on the bottom track is clear"...
Dude, thats me spinin😂😂
Yikes! These guys hit hard!
💯
2:16 was cool haha ! These crashes are crazy to see from this camera angle. These guys are fearless!
Is this Gen 6 era?
And man, those are some insane hits!
So that's what it is like To crash in a NASCAR
In a NASCAR what? NASCAR truck, car... What?
Bumpy and very hard
Cup car
Without actually feeling the impact it's not.
@@fourstar7 what are you seeing in the video?
Yessss thank you for this compilation I loved every second of it

I simply would have chosen not to crash the car

Nobody will watch that.
That would kill the sport more than the cars going electric would.
On the contrary, society is heading in the direction where it will be even more dangerous
1:30 he anticipated it.
What are the flaps thingys for?
Keep the cars on the ground
They create downforce and drag to keep the car down in a slide so it doesn't lift off the ground.
What happened at 3:32 does he put it in the wrong gear?
Yup spun the wheels
Thats why im not a NASCAR driver.
Amators...How do you expect the car to handle at 3000RPM?
Then go and do it yourself 😂 the fact that you will crash in the first 3 seconds is funny
Whoa
Love the guy, but the amount of Bubba Wallace in here is hilarious 🤣😂🤣😂 love bubba, real brawler
