I'm building up my home network and constantly end up on your videos when I'm looking for information on how to do things. Thank you for making it easy to follow along!
Great video man! Love the channel keep it up!
Love your stuff, keep it up.
Yup, have a spare zero w & a rpi cam so this will be quite good. Not looking at using wifi as mine is shared with the whole house (always gets jammed by a spoilt git who likes to cause havoc).
Great tutorial 🤘👍
Great vid...... luv ya WORK
Johnno
This is what I'm doing right now. Just had to finish my workout, cause I know once I load up my systems I won't do anything else! Hahaha..
Which globally available brand is best in camera that has a sensor and mic. Appreciating if you can list down a few models. 🙏🏼
With that shirt, in Italy, you can be jailed. Good video
Why Please explain I’m from a different part of the world
Does the description have everything you need to make it or do you need more stuff?
If you do multiple cameras, do they each need a Pi 4?
Awsome
I'm trying to connect a gopro live feed to a 5" waveshare monitor for a new Character build.
Now figuring out I need a Raspberry Pi... Soooo need help from someone like YOU! Best buy staff know nothing lol
Hi is it possible to detect a person and once someone have been detected start recording?
Can it be setup to send out notifications whenever motion is detected ? If yes how.
He charges $225 for the first hour of consultation and there you can get your answer! What a steal!
@@ihatesignupsgrrrrrrr lol
An SMTP library would work for that purpose
Does this still work? I tried with a the v3 camera and there was no image, it was just grey
hi sir
i'm watching your videos from japan.i completly finsihed all the process and when i entered my ip adress in the brouser then it's not giving me any responce
why?
Cool video, nice tutorial!
Thanks!
This is awesome. May I have question, is that possible to run MotionEyeOS on RaspberryPi5. I see no officially support release
on the Github at this moment of time.
I tried. Doesn’t work.
I have a 1st gen Rasberry Pi, so it has a very slow CPU. Would this work for me if I set it up just to take photos vs. streaming/recording actual video?
hhmmmm thats hard to say. I would just say you need to try it. I think it should be completely fine with photos
If I connect a screen to the Pi I get a colourful picture and nothing else. The Pi doesn't show up on my network and I don't know what to do. I with it was as easy as the video.
Does it need network to take photos/videos or if it does not have wifi it will just save it on hard drive
It will save it on hard drive
Thanks for the videos, didn't get it to work on pi zero, but perfect with Pi 4. WHAT i would need now is to find a way to ADD audio to it. ANY solution?
add a mic
The camera you mentioned in the video is not the same camera you listed in the description.
yes it is he just has a stand
Turn a raspberry pi in to a NVR ?is that possible?
Your biggest problem is by far going to be CPU encoding, but if you are doing low frame rate 1080 you should be able to get quite a few
Great tutorial. Followed you steps. But OS will not start get error 'This board requires newer software ' Error 44 Have a 8 Gb PI. Get the error with USB 16GB and SD Card 64GB. Looks like that the underlaying OS of motionEyeOS will not work with 8Gb, if google on the error message. Any idea how to solve this problem?. Which PI 4 version did you use?
Hmmm that might be due to the App being 32 Bit and freaking out about the extra ram... I did it on a pi 4 2Gb, thanks for letting me know!
@@SpaceRexWill Thanks for the quick response. So no solution at this moment for the 8Gb version. Will it work on a PI Zero W?
@@SpaceRexWill how did you get it working on the Pi 4 2GB? I've tried getting it to work for hours but it hasn't worked :(
@@SpaceRexWill did you use Model B+?
Can you add ethernet cameras?
@3:26 you called it ocean ios, did you mean to say MotionEyeOS?
Yeah lol.
anyway motionEyeOS is now defunct. People have to turn to "pure" motion
It’s so laggy
In the first part of the video that was because the FPS were turned to 2. After setting it to 20 it was quite responsive
you know it would help if you told me how to find the IP address rather than just say you did it
There are a ton of different ways depending on your setup. I personally go into my router and check for what is new and wired
Open a terminal window on the PI, type in ifconfig and hit Enter. It will display the IP address that is assigned to it.
that hair.
Please breathe
Vro u need to lay off the coke
1. "4K raspi security cam" Hey, you obviously lie to us because you didnt showed that resolution in video, listed max. resolution was 1080p. I was dissapointed.
2. Man you should say loudly how much you paid for that setup.
For example: The initial costs for RPi 4 + camera and just add one 1TB HDD/SDD via TerraPi modul. So everybody knows how much cheap it is.
3. You dont say what RPi 4 is enough for video processing. 2/4/8GB ram? that info i am looking to save the money for RPi which will only have camera mounted and for years watching all from above.
4. More graphics. Some info you can put on screen and thats how brain works. visuals with sound.
5. On what you mounted RPi and cam? how it looks on wall? What you bought to do it?
Sorry, i will do my own research but in that video you can use much much more to be better and enjoyable. Even i wrote so long list still i thank you for intro.
send me a link to your tutorial.
You came to this video for help. Take what you can and keep researching on your own. Don't ever expect to be spoon fed everything.
@@frankpatlan4412 your attitude is as bad as the original poster's
uhhh he didn't say that the camera was 4k it's just the tutorial at 4k
lol man you didn't leave a link to Wifi guide in description.
