Yeah , now that it’s posted , I realize the audio and video are outta sync... sorry, Marty (Scorsese) had the nite off ... and you see how I can screw things up! Oh well... if I was perfect , it would be the first time....
DW - I just discovered your channel. Great job playing guitar and singing. You have a great sounding natural singing voice. I agree about the Bugera V5 amp as I own one and I used to have an Epi Casino (great guitar) as well, but have moved on mainly to a Fender Princeton Reverb and Gibson es-335. ..Your journey is very inspiring. I liked the video and subscribed to your channel. ..Big thumbs up!! ❤🎸 🎶 😊
Wow, thank you for watching! And especially for taking time to comment! I love your choice of amp and guitar.you’ve taken a step in the right direction w the Princeton and 335… the 335 is my dream guitar! Would love to see/hear you play through that gear! Thanks again for the kind words, hope to see ya next time!
@@dwstoeckel4740 your intro convinced me to try out a capo. I’ve never used mine (my son used it all the time). I am just stubborn and put up with the hand cramping bar cords. But I have been wanting to learn Solsbury Hill and I think it would sound best using one.
welp @dwstoeckel4740 I tried out the capo on Solsbury Hill but the key was too high for my voice. So I am keeping it in A (I was using the capo to put the key in B). I'll keep an ear out for another song to use it on.
Hi, thanks for the story on the Wallflowers. Learned some new stuff there. God job on making a loop that didn't get to be too repetitive after a while. I think the melody lines and your way of singing and soloing did the trick😄 It really worked well. Digging the song!
Always appreciate you Thor! My vids are so amateurish, but everyone is always so kind and supportive.. Oh , you’ll be happy to know I’m working on several blues right now. They aren’t quite ripe for the picking just yet, but if we’re honest, most my videos aren’t! 🤣🤣 so I’ll probably post em sooner rather than later..
No song stopping fatalities noticed….!!....😀 I never heard this song, but it’s a great choice. That keyboard part and pulling it in and out adds a really nice flavour. But most of all, I absolutely love your singing. Well done DW!!
Thanks Gerard, sorry I rambled on a bit long on this one.. lol...I just can’t stop myself sometimes.. I like music, I like playing music, I like talking about playing music.. 🤣🤣. Hope all is going well. Hope your bandmate is doing better these days? I’m still hopeful for a “Jeff & the Deaf” reunion...
Spare Bedroom the place where great music comes from 🎵🎶👏 I love the total vibe of your intro stories and didn’t know any of those musicians were on this. Great tune that I’ve never heard of before but obviously loved it ❤ Well you called other guitar players to get motivated to play 🎸 well I think I’m going to try this song 🎵 Yes sounds like a great song to drum 🥁 😊
Thanks Ramona! I’m having so much fun w music lately! Finally being able to sing AND play at the same time really opens things up... and then adding in controlling a looper (in a simple way, not a Bolton way...🤣) it’s just too much fun.!
You can DW. If you look at my early videos, I started out just like you, standing in front of a mic with guitar in hand, singing a song. Gradually, I started adding more tracks with a synth orchestra and put a video behind it. Yes, there was a learning curve and it took a while because it was all trial and error (a lot of error), but I'm glad to help with any questions that you might have. 😉😊
@garyschafer-thepickinpilot9010 thanks, I may take you up on that in the future! I also have a friend here that’s offered to help, he’s pretty good w that stuff too.. but I feel like I still have a ways to go on my musicianship first… I don’t know how comfortable I look when I’m playing these songs but I’m really not that comfortable, I’m right at the maximum of my abilities..lol I can barely play and sing at the same time.. 🤣🤣 but the learning process has been a ton of fun! And I’m sure learning the video process will be fun too.!
Love this tune! Is Mr. White a nod to Heisenberg? STRONG performance! Vox sounded fantastic, was singing the harmony along with you. Turns out we’re a decent duo! 👊🏻
Mr white is a mix of Heisenberg and from the movie the reservoir dogs. lol. And I’m glad you helped out on the harmonies! I still wanna collaborate with you on when the levee breaks.. you get the slide guitar and I’ll get the harp.. 👊🏻😎 would be a rocker..
Thanks Noah😁👍🏻… the UA-cam community of musicians is just the best..you guys give so much support for us rookies that are coming up behind you.. I appreciate the kind words.. and any advice/ constructive criticism will always be appreciated!

Was bobbing my head to this on the drive into work. It’s got a great Mazzy Star vibe to it
Thanks Aaron! I’m just trying to follow in your footsteps my friend… got a ways to go, but the journey has been a blast so far..

Yes , I’m known for my wildly varied facial expressions…. Uh.. not so much…🤣🤣
