2023 Nissan Maxima SR Review

This 2023 Maxima may be the last iteration of Nissan Flagship Sedan as they focus on electrifying most of their model line up by 2030. However, while it's here, we still get to enjoy the last of the naturally aspirated v6 sedans in the market. The Maxima SR is powered by a 3.5 V6 engine that touts a whopping 300hp and 261 ft lbs of torque. Interior have top notch quality and materials and the exterior is beautiful and masculine. Fuel economy in its segment is also class competitive with MPGs are 20 city 30hwy and 25 combined. 0-60 is under 6 seconds around 5.7 and the SR trim level is equipped with a Sport Tuned Suspension designed for better stability, less body lean and better cornering abilities. Nice review! Just leased one last week. Only couple of gripes with this car is the CVT which holds it back and minimal storage inside. Small compartments. Except the glove box. That’s ok. Otherwise it’s a really nice car and feels like a premium vehicle.

I still don’t get why Nissan doesn’t make AWD as an option. It only makes sense if the maxima is their flagship sedan.

I like it!! My only thing I don't like is pretty much for any vehicle and that is the sunroof/moonroof glass or window is sitting on top of the vehicle when it's opened, other than that it's a major car for me 🤙

Good luck with it! I have 132,000 miles on my '16 SV that I bought new. Still pulls like a train. (Change the CVT fluid at least every 60,000 miles).
