- We asked the Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer what he would say to the Israeli prime minister.

Sir Keir - who was giving his first major speech of the election campaign - said the offensive in Rafah must stop, describing the scenes as "horrifying".
In Buckinghamshire, Rishi Sunak defended his plan to introduce a form of national service, insisting it was the best way to "deliver a secure future" for the country.

I agree. I get that he feels he can't put politics into the mix regarding an independent court. However, he could absolutely say he would abide by the court's decision if an arrest warrant was issued. By the same token if a warrant isn't issued he would abide by that too.

Norway is not enough or they will have to align with Russia for a multipolar world powered by Russian natural gas. and Green energy is not efficiant enough for industry it only works for households but not for manufacturing.

I give the consistent Scottish government stance as an example (remember the ceasefire motion farce in Parliament). The Scottish government are certainly not the only ones in politics who have a more direct stance that reflects the views of many people in the UK. As a centre-left liberal (and someone who has never voted for Labour), my biggest issue with them is immigration. If you think the Tories were lax about this, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Immigration is probably the only issue I’m _not_ vaguely liberal on. It never ceases to amaze me how western European secular liberal democracies are seemingly so blasé about importing millions and millions of those with values diametrically opposed to secular liberal democracy. We are already seeing small fires being lit (Sweden), and it’s almost inevitable that there will be a confrontation between Islam and those countries who have chosen to import it en masse. It almost feels like it’s planned… 🤔

t 82 I was overjoyed to miss Conscription in the 60's as my many friends, acquaintances and hundreds of workmates on the railways where I was a fireman. With one exception but against him two young men I knew had gone on the Lam to avoid conscription. The US military said a year or more ago the UK Armed forces are no longer a serious force. So that was under the Tories. Labour put 2.5% into our armed forces the Tories 2% or less. This is what the Tories are trying to cover up.
