In the last few minutes police said they had made 4 arrests in Hull, where 3 officers were hurt during clashes.
We are in Liverpool where police say they are dealing with "serious disorder" in the city centre and a number of officers have been injured.

They refused to run the story when one of their junior journalists approached them about it in 2004 - they refused to run the story because they said it would lead to anti Muslim feeling and riots. Theyonly reported on it in 2014 because all the other outlets began running the story. Ch 4 is as low as they come.

Citizenship should almost never be given to people who migrated via asylum. Only to a selected group of people, who came into the country via first proving they posses needed language- and work-skills and only after proving themselves for at least half a decade and then passing a citizenship-test.

There is no comparison. Leeds protest was about a Romanian mother having her 5 children taken off her (whether that was fair or not) it was nothing to do with attacking Churches and blaming Christians for stealing land from the Aborigines and Native Indians.

As a Dutch guy living in London, I constantly get the feeling that facts don't matter to people here. It's quite scary. Not saying untruths aren't spread on social media in The Netherlands as well - they are - but the way things can escalate here seems so much more rapid.
