TheMando84 - Matt from NY One thing not mentioned in your breakdown is what i got after watching a couple time - being a dad there was a nice moment that when Whim's dad punches Jod - up until that moment Whims hero's were all in stories and being a parent this really makes me feel like in this moment Whim realizes that you dont need to be a Jedi to be a hero and in that instant his Dad became a hero to him.
It seems I'm in the minority here but I love all the SW shows we've been getting. I love the lore heavy shows and seasons, i love the one-offs. There's so much to explore in the SW galaxy and I worry just exploring that stuff in the movies will limit and slow down the expansion of SW past the Skywalker saga. I still think a GoT level SW show would be so cool, I really thought the Acolyte had potential to be that but seeing how short episodes and seasons are, Disney may not be as interested in that route
The end of Skeleton Crew.... lets hope it lives on forever. This Star Wars content is worthy of all peoples viewing. My chief complaint is this episode should have been broken down into at least a part 1 and part 2. The pacing felt slightly off comparatively to the rest of the episodes. I also wish, we could have seen a couple of days later, things go back to normal for the crew. Absolutely love seeing the fighter squadron arrive and take names! Side note, I feel like this would be a better overall viewer experience as a two part or three part feature film or micro series episodes lasting 2 hours. I feel like it would allow a greater dive into the worlds.
Uuuummm askshully Achran had the same meal tray. Wim was looking at one “eeeewwww” & Neel told him he probs shouldn’t be touching it. 🤓 Well Neel’s last bubble bath did get prematurely interrupted after all… But seriously… it was a nice touch that that the bikes came into play again. All of the “adult” vehicles on Attin are essentially slot cars attached to the grid that only travel on their prescribed paths never to deviate like the good obedient cogs in the system they are. Only the bikes offered a level of freedom to break free from the system and appropriately mostly ridden by youths before they are trapped in the system. Too bad they couldn’t find a way to get Fara on one since she ultimately had to make the biggest deviation. Loved this show. Andor is my #1 & SC is my #2 D+ series just as ESB & ANH are my 1&2 movie ranking. One serious, one just a tonne of fun w/ appropriate dark details/moments to ground it & make sure it’s not disposable or saccharine. In both cases those pairs encapsulate what SW is to me. Particularly appreciated that SC managed to capture the spirit of ANH w/out being a clone of it… Curiously it was only ep6 that felt really D+ to me (it’s over already). And yet contrary to many other examples (looking at you Acolyte ep4 & Mando S3 finale) I wasn’t frustrated by it. Maybe that has something to do w/ not really having expectations for this show & just going for the ride. But also they took us on a ride & addressed what needed to be and what was left on the table can either be taken up elsewhere or just left to our own imaginings rather than being gaping holes or frustrating. My biggest gripe is that I could’ve used a smidge more lighting. While the intent fit the scenes there’s a lot of black/dark in dimly lit scenes leaning heavily on light only from natural sources which obscured detail. I wasn’t AS annoyed/frustrated by it as w/ Solo originally (which by comparison seems bright in retrospect) so maybe I’m getting more used to this trend. Oh and been meaning to post all season that your SC intro/outro tune slaps! Nails the vibe of the show.
1:01:54 I agree. I think SW tv needs to be done(refrain) in the same vein as Skeleton Crew. Be its own thing and not be about the "lore" or connected to anything imo
Wendle had his fist balled up like George McFly in the parking lot 😂
That comment about watching Mick Giacchino‘s career with great interest sent me rolling!
Gooooood...gooood >:]
Promise me you will train the boy. He’s the chosen one. He will bring balance.

I'm with you Mac! S3 is better than S2 and, personally, is my favorite season of the show!
Order Sixty SICK!😂

You didn't mention it, so I'm assuming that I'm wrong, but was that Leia's ship, Tantive IV, in one of the closing shots?
