Mate, for those stubborn green algae inside the pipe and also for the dust+algae accumulated at the bottom of the inflow Lilly, try this: - instead of a couple of round small rocks, use a handful of kitchen Salt - small amount of water to flush it down the tube, and then shake and wiggle until all is cleaned - the salt works both as a solid brush particles exfoliant, but also as you know, kills algae as much as bleach, with the advantage of being 100% cleared away with one single rinse in tap water... it melts and clears right off It works for me, and it’s faster than bleach soaking Try it out 👍🏻🙏🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thank you for this video! Here is some other tips: if you have troubles to cross curves you can gently twist the brush head (most of them are made of soft metal), to easily remove tubes from pipes hot water make them more soft & elastic ;)
Another good tip, that I first heard from AquaOwner (and this tip was also already mentioned here in the comments in German), is to first PUSH the tubing towards the lily pipe and then pull it off. Like this the tubing comes off easier without using much force. This is how I see it: The tubing is stuck on to the glass ware and if you just pull the tubing, it just grabs even more on to the lily pipe (the tubing streches and the diameter shrinks slightly?), but if you first push the tubing, this will loosen it from the glass ware and that is why it is easier to then pull it off.
If your spring brush doesn’t easily go through the bend on the lily pipes you can cut it shorter with wire cutters and then bend the tip over and it will go through easier.
Hi sir, very good video. Is your inlet and outlet pipes the ideal position for best water circulation? Right now I have the inlet toward the back right corner. Would flow be better if I move them close to each other?
Hallo Juri, ich hätte eine Frage: Wie lager ich In-Vitro-Pflanzen am besten und wie lange sind sie haltbar? (in meinem fall javafarn, tripiata, christ. Moos) Danke schon mal für die Antwort und weiter so 😉 Liebe Grüße, Johannes
Great, now imagine how many others don’t know and struggle. If you know someone who can make use of this technique - please share my video with this person
Vinegar versus bleach...is one better than the other? I use vinegar on my stubborn deposits, soaking for a day or two. I worry that I will not be able to clean the chlorine out of the in-line diffuser membrane.
how to remove the superge ada solution which has gone into my diffuser after soaking . I have cleaned the outside with water but i am not able to reach the interior ?
"...maybe just simply get another set...", LOL so true and I am going that route and also change the tubes, too much brown/green algae in them...thanks!
I would be way too scared to put any hard objects like that on glass. lolol There are soft brushes made for those pipes that are way safer. and a soft toothbrush for the intake tube. cheers
some of those cheap bendy pipe cleaners can easily break your glass pipe like an egg shell from inside if the brush at their tip is too large. If it works, it works - just keep that in mind, which is the main reason I recommend the expansive ADA spring brushes as they come with perfectly sized brushes and there is no risk in breaking your expansive glass ware (at least due to the size of the brush)

How do you remove the hose?
I use course sea salt too, I find it works really well. I would be worried about using tiny stones in case they scratched?
Genius, sheer genius-thanks, I have a nano tank with 10mm glass pipes & this will simplify cleaning
@@MrAndypeet thanks brother… glad to help 🙌🏼🙏🏼😇☺️😉😜
Juris i like these short and straight videos as always amazing tips
Great video with no BS! Love it

What an amazing tip was that with the gravel! I always have problem cleaning this tip! I will for sure try it soon! Thanx!
The gravel technique for cleaning the bottom inlet pipe is awesome, never thought of that!
Try to twist the lily pipe brush to clean the very bottom, worked for me. Amazing video Juri! 🐠
I use rice to clean the inside of the lily pipe, coarse sea salt works too.
Just a few hours to late. I just broke my lily pipe this afternoon trying to remove the tubing :(
I will definitely use your tips next time!

Great hack with gravel! Thanks Jurijs.
Kleiner Tipp um die Glaswarevom Schlauch zu lösen: Einfach den Schlacuh vorher 5mm weiter raufschieben, und dann ganz einfach abziehen ;)
Great video mate

Hi .. Jurijs, a wonderful video..
@@JurijsJutjajevs I have edited my comment ... sorry if my comment hurt you..
What are the little fish swimming in the lilly pipe?
Would you recommend stainless steel as oppose to glass lilly pipes?.
love all of your vdo thanks for doing it. hope I can visit you shop someday.
great idea with short vids!
How loud is the Oase Biomaster 600? Would it be too loud for a bedroom? I’ve looked online and can’t really find anything about it. Thanks

What canister filter are you using ?
Oase Biomaster and ADA superjet
That pebble trick saved my headache.

You can always soak in dechlorinator and add some of it to your tank water
For Alger spot use salt crystal (not power one ) without water and shake well.cheap and easy
hi m, mind sharing whats the name of the fish with the spots, please? tqvm
how to clean the tubing down to the filter?
how to remove the superge ada solution which has gone into my diffuser after soaking . I have cleaned the outside with water but i am not able to reach the interior ?
Syringe and a piece of Co2 tubing you can, suck out the bleach and flush the ceramic disc and inside afterwards with clean water the same way
Chlorine based cleaners !!!
Огромное спасибо! 👍

Or you can just purchase one of those long bendy pipe cleaners off ebay for a couple of dollars and run that through the pipe once...
