Australian survivor has a 24 hour grace period for players. If there is an injury risk they can leave the game for 24 hours and if they are cleared and good to go they return to the game. For the life of me I don’t understand why survivor US does not do this. It isn’t fun or compelling to watch so many medevacs that could be prevented by just confirming what is going on
Austrailian Survivor has 47 days. With 26 days in US Survivor I think that may be a big factor why they may never even consider this. I think everybody medically evacuated should get a chance in another season like Bruce did.

Hell 31 days would be enough. 26 days was barely working with 60 minute episodes. It frankly not working with 90 minutes. Especially in these small tribes where the votes are kinda easy
I going with 29 days(lunar month) and go back to 2 tribes with 16 players. For me 26 days with 18 players dont work well cause they sometimes going to tribal 3 days in a row. There is no off day to scramble and strategize.
Jeff Probst's New Era lasting that long? no chance, everyone involved has got lazy and complacent and it shows even more when you watch most other versions of the game. Survivor is now like Star Wars where the very latest 'big' part of it (the sequel movies) is derided by many and different Star Wars content (books, comics, TV shows, cartoons) is proving to be FAR superior. this era is a Bhanu win away from jumping the shark.
Randen revealed in his exit interview with Rob he couldn't have returned to the game even if he wanted to and that a simple IV would not have fixed it! It took him months to recover! He could not move his neck or his arm!
Bhanu is a fun character, sweet guys. But I’m not sure he’s ever watched the show. I eye rolled so hard when I heard “I’m not here to win $, I’m here to win 1000 hearts”
I think he binge watched everything. And he probably thought "that would be fun". He's struggling right now though. Will be interesting to see if he turns it around.
Phil i agree with you - i want as much survivor as possible! Disagree with the rest of the community… 90 mins is perfect and is why s45 was the best new era season. The issue with s46 thus far is that ep 3 had a bloody medevac and non tribal council.. and also 2 tribes keep winning so the actual dynamics arent changing and theres isnt much relevent strat because (especially siga) they are all still so kumbaya… so of course they dont have much to show for this ep. Its not the length of the ep its the fact that due to unforeseen circumstances with the game they had to plock filler in. Medevac + no tribal eps always also feel like a dud ep even in 60 mins. So okay for this ep 90 is too long but its an anomoly. Ep 2 issue was 2 hours but not planned so only 1 reward challenge. Just add the 2nd reward challenge and that wouldnt feel as long IMO. Having that back to back is just hard for the season. But if people stop complaining and just take it for what it is, this season can still be promising! Rant over

Yeah, we got bogged down in Bhanu. It's hard not to with what we were shown. But failing to mention the Hawaiian sling is unforgivable. I love that thing.
Honestly I feel so bad for randen. He was playing a solid game and had an idol. I hate how survivor took him out and he ended up being fine, but obviously im glad that that happened instead of him being hurt. I hope he gets to play again like how Bruce did. No offense to bhanu but id way rather see randen play this game than him. Also I feel like this was a blessing in disguise for Kenzie weirdly enough. But now I definitely think bhanu is going out next episode.

I liked this episode and I prefer the 90 minute episodes. We got to see Banu leak all the info to players on the other tribe and if there's a swap it's going to be bad for the players on his tribe.
Yeah, I'd love Survivor to post what a 60 minute episode would look like just once. Guarantee almost everyone frustrated by 90 minutes would change their tune.
Why is everyone hating on this season? This is leaguessssssssssssssssssssssss better than 45 IMO! Bhanu is KING! And there are no fillers, I'm loving getting to see the camp life and getting to flesh out all the characters, and furthermore, you should watch a season from the beginning it just isn't right not to. Whoever does not like Bhanu does not have a heart I don't care and Venus is QUEEN!!! I haven't enjoyed a new era season like this since 42 but I feel so bad for Randen and that did slightly ruin the episode for me. But, still really loving this season!!!
You're insane. 45 cast was way better. Half of these players obviously had no chance to win since episode 2 There should not be this many social duds in a cast of 18. Do better casting. The cast of 45 was at least better but tactically they let themselves down post merge. This cast is already shooting themselves in the foot.
given that Jeff says he wants to "break you down to your lowest point and see you prevail and overcome", if someone cries their way to a seat in the final (with zero game IQ, so nothing like Carolyn, who I've seen some people - laughably - compare him to 😂) then I hope Jeff realises the mistakes he's made & changed back to VG Survivor instead of the Mid New Era.

I am surprised you never did. It's the exact opposite of new era survivor - 2 big tribes, reward challenges, 50 days, final 2's, dynamic gameplay, no lost votes or split tribals after a merge. You'd love it 😄 The current season is probably top 3 newbie season of all time. Feels like DvG on steroids. i didn't mind the length of the episode i just felt like it was a dud of an episode I definitely understand the bhanu casting and I like messes on my screen but bhanu personally does not do it for me but him being the only interesting storyline in the episode isn't great i felt like nothing else was really interesting

What they should have done if they were really worried about having not enough content for no tribal council was to still have a tribal council (a fake one) and then send the person “voted out”back to camp by themselves with a note & their flint.
I dont understand why Yanu didn't go to tribal. They lost the challenge and for Randen being med evac shouldn't give them life line that they didn't deserve. This would maybe be different before challenge but it was after. I felt this decision was made by Jeff and production on the spot. They felt sorry for Yanu and made the call based on that.

agreed, if they don't want to go back to 39 days immediately, try 30 days or 33 days at first. gradually go back to 39 days, one step at a time.
30 days would be a good round number that could open up more time around the merge

He wasn’t fine, he had rehab and had treatment for inflammation and he has stated every where that it was weeks before he was ok
