Blissful Days on the Sea (Sailing La Vagabonde) Ep. 98

  • We sail up the east coast of Mallorca, jumping off the boat for a free dive in the most delicious, thirst quenching blue water you’ll ever see. We plan to sail over to Badalona, not Barcelona, to meet up with a few friends on the water. We may have had less than 2 knots of wind on our trip over to Spain, but mother nature made up for it with the silkiest sunset and pure blissfulness…

Oh man, that's very nice of you!! 👍🏻
Unfortunately (or fortunately) we are currently in the caribbean, but we are looking to buy a Nadja which are made in Sweden and of course would be heading out of there to warmer climate as soon as we can! My family is from Barcelona : ) so I'm a bit jealous that you guys are there. But thank you for offering, hopefully we can buy the boat soon and haul ass your way 😆 and have a beer or two with you all!! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Have a good night and stay safe

Just stunning footage, guys! I am old enough to remember when 360 was considered high definition, and that's how generations of us grew up seeing the world on television. What you are doing, whether you realize it or not, is a great service to all of humanity. I couldn't even imagine 10 or 15 years ago that I could sit at home and see incredible aerial shots of the beaches of Mallorca, plus a pretty girl and a couple dudes with whom I'd share beers.

I am disabled and so cant afford to be a patron but good luck to you guys. I have watched you two from the beginning and loved every episode. Kind of escapism for me. Since I know my travelling days are over. Not that they even begun but hey ho. Thanks for all the fun...I will end this by saying more travelling and soon... pretty please. I love the see the world through your eyes. Lots of love Heather x

My family and I have been following your travels for approximately one year and a half. Who knew back in January 2015 that your situation would be what it is today. I have to say this episode is the best one yet. Yes, yes all you purists, we did go back and watch a few of the early and later boat-one videos to compare. The transitions, video quality, and composition balance of this episode is the best yet. The capture of that sunset and the red moon rising was epic. I think Riley said it best when speaking of Badalona when he said, "It's beautiful without being pretentious." It must have taken hours to edit and establish the accompanying musical scores. La Vagabonde you are beautiful without being pretentious. Thank you Elayna, Riley, and Daniel.

Watching this 16Jan22 and it’s impressive watching you adapt to the new SV so quickly… but I keep thinking how Matthieu was watching each episode and possibly sending you emails with some feedback…!!! He feels like a father watching over his children… letting them learn through experience but dishing out wise words when needed (and asked for)!
Daniel & Elayna are quite the videography duo!

I love the History lesson. History is a love of mine. Would never have learned about mallorca without seeing this. Interesting hearing about the Romans and Carthaginians because they were always fighting each other for land but I never knew mallorca was home to both. It's so crazy to think about all that must have happened there.
We need a La Vaga time machine =) !!!

So I know this video is over a year old but I'm going to disagree with what seems like the majority and say I LOVE where you guys have come in your journey. Your new boat is amazing and Daniel is doing an incredible job with the video. The edits, the shots, he's killing it. It's like watching a TV show. Jon and Barbara Tucker are currently on one of my moorings in the Bay of Islands in NZ. They are on board their Herreshoff Mobjack called 'Maid in New Zealand'. A lovely couple that have traveled more than 100 thousand nautical miles on board with the whole family. Jon is writing another book set in the Bay of Islands, so wanted to understand the lay of the land.

There are so many ways to cook without gas. Buy a $10 hot plate and use your AC Inverter (or a microwave with the inverter). Buy a $20 camp stove with the small propane bottles. Use solar (they even make solar ovens or you can make your own with a box and some tin foil). Come on guys, being creative and solving problems is the best part surpassed only by avoiding problems by being prepared,,, forethought and preparation. We love ya guys to the max and I hope these ideas help ya have a better and safer life experience. THANK YOU! PS: You can buy sterno OR you can make your own alcohol stove via some alcohol and toilet paper in a can but be careful as the flame is hard to see and can cause problems if unattended and it leaks out or? etc.

So Much better! A bit of Daniel, a bit of beauty and a bit of adventure. Daniel the camera work is really coming together. Once again I would point out that the "narrative" is "us seeing you guys and seeing the world through 3 pairs of eyes". What does Riley see? He sees Elayna and La Vaga. What does Elayna see? She sees Riley, the sunsets, water and the wide freedom. What does Daniel see? Motion, colour, "frames" and much more I'm sure.
This is a huge improvement. Riles, keep up the history and maybe we could have some more "interviews". I really liked the cameo's of the locals. Remember "Island Sickness"? It was a real insight. I really enjoyed that stuff.
    Cheers and thanks,

Just lost my main source of income, received word from the IRS that my bookkeeper miscalculated my taxes and now I owe $9500, have a crooked contractor who built me a brand new "fixer upper" home now attaching a lien to my home to collect money he feels entitled to for doing shit work and then abandoning the job, but your videos take me to a better place while I'm watching them. Thank you....I've been telling my wife for a looong time that we should buy a boat and hit the open seas. Great stuff as always guys :)

We just started following you guys. We really enjoy your videos. Very inspirational. We're sold. Definitely going to invest into a sailboat. You two remind us of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan in the Pirates of the Caribbean. LOL. Keep up the good work. Love it.

Great job! The last 2 videos have been much better. Almost as good as the "old" videos. Keep up the great work.
