The saddest thing to me honestly in the fall of Koba was the scene of Caesar initially reassuring Koba with, “Home… family… future.” It really gets me how you see the brightness return to Koba’s face; Caesar must have worked hard to convince Koba a life existed outside of his trauma and pain. He was stable and free with the ape society. It’s hard to watch Koba’s pain turn to rage and malice; knowing what it leads to
The actor who plays Koba gets mostly overshadowed by the tour de force that IS Andy Serkis... But shouts out to him as well. Absolutely kills this role and even steals the show at points.
Most wars are not misunderstood. Its some evil bastard manipulsting people to hate people ...and even the just because you hate someone doesnt give the right to end their life
Wars are caused by groups with incompatible goals reaching a significantly sharp contradiction, and choosing (for whatever reason) to escalate the conflict with violence. Wars can start because of anything, but they can’t just continue on their own. People need a reason to choose to continue to fight, which can be as simple as a feeling (however justified) of a need for self-defense.
it took a few years after watching the trilogy to realize what an amazing character Rocket was. he went from bully/adversary to Caesar's most loyal 'ride or die' lieutenant
The behind the scenes footage of the actors doing the scenes in the motion capture suits is amazing to see. They did so much training on how apes moved, behaved, communicated etc. Down the details of micro facial expressions.
