      I'm sure he can play something very similar to this, but his fingers don't match the sounds we're hearing. This is layered and pre-recorded.

    • @Kabiito
      @Kabiito 4 роки тому +27

      Hans Ollo It is most likely prerecorded yes, and I don’t know what you mean by layered, it is a stereo recording. However, he records using a audio interface directly from the guitar to the pc. He can play this song raw and incredibly clean with an external mic, and he has played it live which sounded exactly the same as the recording. Do not insinuate that he can’t play this live.

    I'm incredulous at the seemingly unending reservoir of talent that the internet exposes. The countries, cultures and racial diversity of peoples that the modern 6 string guitar appeals to is just amazing. UA-cam has made the world a much smaller place and shows that we all have so much in common when it comes to what appeals to our hearts. This kid plays at a level most people can only dream of, yet the number of years he's been playing is probably in the single digits. Amazing! Kudos young man! I've been playing for the better part of 40 years and am a pretty good player. But I can't keep pace with any of the younger players this world is producing these days. Both Male and female, from ages 6 to 18, they are taking the instrument to unprecedented levels. Keeping it real, the guitar gods of the past, while still gods, can't come close to the technical proficiency I'm seeing in many of the younger generation players these days.

    • @aniki937
      @aniki937 4 роки тому +8

      Don Caesar internet that's right, the level of teachers learning them but not only. Back in the days, most of the guitar heroes we know may get their 1st guitar between 8/9 to 13/15 years old. Adding the inexistence of internet, they had buy boring theory books and learn but not with a context : at this time, this would be seen as a distraction, not a serious thing to make a carreer instead of a "real" job. It's easier now for any parent to give a guitar to their toddler aged 3. This is the best learning. Imagine a kid learning from 5 to 12 and another kid starting playing at 12. The first one will have 7 years of advance, learning in years when brain is a sponge and when he doesn't understand what a carreer is, money, fame, etc just enjoy as a hobbie like skateboard. A lot of parameters made the new generation becoming technical killers. To me the 2 main reasons are internet and early age learning. You find this in many activities that involve moves and reflexes

      Yep, very well said. One of the great things about the internet is the way it flattens the playing field, to an extent. There have always been super talented folks in all corners of the world, but in the past, they had to be physically attractive and marketable for anyone to know who they were. Now, anyone can have a UA-cam account and reach an audience of millions, if the talent is there. No more gatekeepers, just people living their passions and sharing them with others. It's wonderful 💚

    I've heard a lot of guitarists that attempt this style but usually fall short in a few areas: 1. they try to do so much percussive sounds that it detracts from the actual piece being played and 2. they lack good feel and a solid pocket. Kent, you have just the right about of percussiveness, harmonic creativity, technical variety and groove, that really makes this all come together. Well done and looking forward to hearing more of your arrangements.

      R3furbish3dBrain you said it so right ! Discipline is the key. Mike Tyson Quote: “Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but nonetheless doing it like you love it.”
      When you spend a tremendous amount of time in anything, you can't just not ending without having improved. But if you began guitar at 25 like me, except a miracle, you're probably not become the new Hendrix

      Dude i know. 32 years myself, while I could be classical pieces from Bach and other composers I specialized in rock guitar and picking mainly alternate picking and can play all of the 70s 80s 90s AC DC Van Halen scorpions and more and people have accused me up sounding like Al Di Meola which in my mind is not an insult. But with this guy's doing for God's sake it's so beautiful and complete it's far beyond my current level

      I hate doing the comparison thing. Sure, I could listen to Kent's playing all day and be happy, but it is just as valid to enjoy all the good (great) talents out there. I played trumpet until after my freshman year in college and that foundation gave me appreciation for real talent on any instrument, even singing talent. (Can't say the same about rap, but that's a different conversation, and it's *not* about race.)
