I'm incredulous at the seemingly unending reservoir of talent that the internet exposes. The countries, cultures and racial diversity of peoples that the modern 6 string guitar appeals to is just amazing. UA-cam has made the world a much smaller place and shows that we all have so much in common when it comes to what appeals to our hearts. This kid plays at a level most people can only dream of, yet the number of years he's been playing is probably in the single digits. Amazing! Kudos young man! I've been playing for the better part of 40 years and am a pretty good player. But I can't keep pace with any of the younger players this world is producing these days. Both Male and female, from ages 6 to 18, they are taking the instrument to unprecedented levels. Ummm, who have you heard underrating him? Everyone I see talking about him thinks he's great.
I dont think Kent knows just how amazing he is.
Jeez, they could calibrate a metronome to this guy. Clearly someone put a guitar in this guys hands about the time he started eating solid food. Incredibly gifted guitarist.
I’ve never heard a finger style arrangement / player nail all the nuances of chosen songs with such detail. It’s really insane. Also, your sense of timing is unparalleled.
I have never seen a guitar played so masterfully, musically, and completely. Supernatural.
Really ? This kid has talent, but christ almighty you really need to listen to a lot more music, because there are finger picking acoustic players out there who are several levels above this kid in terms of skill and musicality. Start with Tommy Emmanuel please.
@@DjNikGnashers Sorry to have offended your sensibilities with my reverence. If I'm continue being honest, I find the disapproving use of "christ almighty" a little much lol.
@@harrywebster6752 LOL I'm sorry, maybe I should have used a different phrase :-) No offence intended to you sir, and I only mean to try and broaden your musical experience. Have a good evening.
@@harrywebster6752 This is a good example of using a guitar to play rhythm ua-cam.com/video/BhmMVGFtS2w/v-deo.html and then an example of stunning clean guitar playingf ua-cam.com/video/0cHeNscKZN0/v-deo.html
@@DjNikGnashers Seen Tommy, and pivotal in his time. He is nowhere near this. I'm an old dog, and old dogs lie down eventually.
the fact that he can push out the essence is what amazes me. technical prowess is just the side note
Incredible! This kid is crazy good. Sounds like he has a whole band backing him.
He does have a whole band backing him. It's Kent, KenT, KeNt, KEnt, kENt, KEnT and KENT.
That is perhaps the most beautiful Michael Jackson instrumental cover of all time! Brilliant, genius!
He just makes the guitar sing...incredible how he is playing so clearly and fluently.
I love it when Kent gets in the groove and starts enjoying his music. Makes the song even more enjoyable. Don't ever change kid! You are truly an event on its own, a pleasure to watch and listen to.
He's the perfect proof that high technique and heartfelt emotion can go side by side.
Legend is back.... Kent u're seriously born to be a most accurate fingerstylist. So impressive
Uploaded just 9 months ago. Wow, the worlds been needing this.
@2:47, one small move for a guitar player, one giant leap for guitar playing. Congrats!
288 people didn’t like this? What is wrong with them? It was brilliant.
He definitely has soul....that neck moving with beat....you born with that.
凄い‼️感激💖MJの曲の中でも思い出の曲✨ありがとう💝🌹
Cripes...slap bass line..chords..accents..drum kit. Cant even catch all of it.amazing!
Love to see this played live.
Those long fingernails give him away. He is clearly a vampire who has been practicing for 500 years.
that explains it
Lol I always thought what if these guys got in a fight? If they tried to punch they would impale their palms. Then it dawned on me. Wolverine. Just saying. Don't fuck with a guitarist cus if the talons don't castrate the guitar will decapitate.
@@cathaloconnor6577 I'll go with Freddy Kruger. Wolverine only got 3 blades.🤣
Talent + skill + determination +500 years of unending practice = best performance :)
I wouldn't have caught that... thank you.

超絶好きになりました💓
Layers of genius, one on top of the other. Foundations laid by Rod Temperton, built upon by Michael Jackson, and topped by this guy. Sensational.
At the 2:47 mark he moves the capo with a finger slide absolutely amazing, I tip my hat to you sir.
Unbelievable! How is he doing the drums and accompaniment with the chords. Oh my days and the solo??? And then the capo move at 2:48 RIDICULOUS
Asao Kinoshita WELL SAID 👌🏾
I never realized how beautiful a guitar can sound when played by Kent. His playing abilities and technique come close to no one I have ever heard. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing your magic to the world and please don’t ever stop!
Imagine the maker of this guitar seeing this! How proud would you be it’s being played in such a beautiful way! Amazing!!
im a professional drummer of 30÷yrs... U are my NEW FAVE GUITARIST....REALLY. WOW
That was absolutely the smoothest capo change I’ve ever seen. Incredible.
That little shift on the capo was badass
This should be in Spotify, not just lost here in UA-cam!
Can't stop listening to this!
Instant fan here!
Man! This kid's amazing. Unbelievable. He's truly a talent. I am looking forward to seeing him live someday!
KENT....KENT....KENT...
My man, you've done it again. Another amazing guitar rendition of a classic.
You are the most soulful Asian brother, and I love watching and listening to you play!
Until next time... Keep up the great work.
MJ gives this two thumbs (with nails) up!
Sungha Jung, Alip Bata and this boy. They are all gifted.
Ok. I've come to the conclusion that he must be divine, an angel. That's the the only explanation for this kind of musical skill and perfection. It's just otherworldly!
Surprisingly he hit the groove on acoustic guitar, impressive
This kids whole series of videos might the cleanest most on point guitar playing I've ever seen ... Wow
he nailed it.
Ah, my absolutely favorite Michael Jackson song! Off the Wall was my fave album of his. This brought me back to my thirties! Listening to you play this, I had to get up and dance! My cat thinks I’m nuts…
Pure Genius. The best rendition of this song i've ever heard by far. An unequalled talent. Very well done.
I completely missed the capo shift until I read the other comments, insanely good, 👏👏👏👏
Kent Nishimura is da MAN ! What a master of multiple guitar voices all at once ! This is the sort of talent on which empires are built.
He is a gift from above to heal...by just watching..
Michael Hedges is smiling from above.
